Having a toilet overflow is frustrating enough, but having to spend part of your vacation cleaning up afterward is certainly not the experience we want for our guests. We apologize that the clogged pipe affecting the second floor took several hours to resolve and, more importantly, that you did not feel properly supported during the situation. You should not have been left feeling that you were responsible for handling the cleanup on your own, and we’re also sorry that an appropriate apology and follow-up were not provided at the time. Your comments will be shared with our management and front desk teams so both the response to maintenance emergencies and guest communication can be reviewed. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We regret that this incident put a damper on what otherwise sounds like an enjoyable stay.

We’re already reviewing our pre-arrival instructions to make them more detailed and easy to follow, including clearer step-by-step directions, where to park, how to locate the correct building and unit, and what to do if arriving after hours. We understand how concerns like broken windows, bugs, and general maintenance issues can take away from the experience, even when the location and views are excellent. Your comments will be shared with the appropriate management and maintenance teams so these items can be reviewed and addressed. We also appreciate your feedback about the sleeping arrangements. If a unit is advertised as suitable for four adults, the pullout sofa should provide a reasonable level of comfort. We’re sorry the sofa bed and mattress did not meet that expectation and that it made the stay uncomfortable for additional guests. We’ll share this with the ownership and management team for review, as guest comfort and accurate occupancy expectations are very important.
