Pointes North Inn is one of Charlevoix's unique condominium suites that book like a hotel room. Book for the condo's privacy, stay for the hospitality.

This beautifully remodeled condo boasts beautiful wood flooring in the main living area and the bedroom, tile in the bathroom, and plenty of lighting. In the bedroom you will find a luxurious king-size bed, a tv with a roku remote, modern bedside tables, 2 luggage racks, an oscillating fan, plenty of closet space, and a beautiful dresser so you can fully unpack to feel more at home. The living room offers a comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa, an arm chair, tv with a roku remote, an electric fireplace, and beautiful side tables. There is also a 4 top dining room table, with 2 bar stools at the kitchen island for additional seating. The kitchenette offers a 2 burner stove top, dishwasher, 12 cup coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, a built in sink with a granite countertop, and plenty of storage. In the handy coat closet you will find the bedding for the sleeper sofa, an iron with an ironing board, and a broom. The large bathroom offers a jet tub, a walk-in shower and separate toilet room, and a vanity that provides additional storage. In addition to the fabulous interior, through the sliding glass door you will find a 2 person seating arrangement on the large screened in porch! No need to worry about privacy, the screen door locks and the curtains close fully.

We provide towels and mini soaps for your use, and limited daily housekeeping services.

Pointes North Inn has high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the building and coin-operated laundry on the second floor. The lobby area has seating which overlooks the heated indoor/outdoor pool. The inside section of the pool is open year-round, while the outside section is closed off October to May.

Communication with the host was great, quick and clear responses throughout the process. Unfortunately, we werenā€™t able to make the trip due to extremely poor road conditions, even after trying to drive there. We are from west Michigan, and while we understand ā€œup northā€ Michigan weather can be unpredictable, the strict no-refund policy was disappointing given the circumstances. Even a partial refund or credit toward a future stay would have gone a long way in making the experience feel fair and encourage repeat bookings. The property itself looked great, but the inflexible policy is the main reason for our 3-star rating.

Lack of restaurant choices for a medium price meal was poorThe toilet did not flush properly, and water in tank did fill properly. Calls and texts to the after hours number were ignored. Staff did not arrive timely to discuss the issue. We found the maintenance man who said he would fix the toilet. Upon returning, the problem remained unfixed. The sliding glass door did not lock properly. The bedroom was hot and stuffy. There was no obvious way to adjust the template as the thermostats could not be adjusted. Great location, easy walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Easy entry after hours. Overall accommodations were fine - couch was pretty worn, bed was generally comfortable, we are just used to our foam mattress and this is a coil mattress. Nice place to stay overall.

The location of the rental was great. However, the unit was tidy, but dirty. The pillows were disgusting. There was a note about not staining the towels with makeup and sunscreen yet the towels were all stained. Also, the listing description was a newly renovated model. Not the case. The toilet seat was hanging on by a thread. The televisions were the size of computer monitors with a remote that had dead batteries so the TV couldnā€™t even be used in the bedroom. The communication to check-in was great. Very easy to understand.

We love coming to Charlevoix and staying near the downtown. This property is conveniently located and the accommodations comfortable for twopeople. The Vue wine bar is a stoneā€™s throw away with a spectacular sunset view.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was disappointed with our unit. It was incredibly spartan and cheerless and had several problems. The toilet didn't flush properly, the screen door was removed and set to the side, the large light fixture in the center of the outdoor seating area dangled from exposed wires over the rocking chairs, and the WIFI barely worked, which is problematic because cell reception is poor, you could hear everything overhead, and the springs in the tattered couch seemed broken. On top of the structural issues, the limited decor and overall shape of the unit weren't at all what I would expect for over $500 a night. That said, I saw other units in better shape and if I stayed again, I'd book one of them.

This charming home had everything we hoped for except the fireplace is not a working fireplace. The 4 bedrooms were small but impeccably designed and laid out making them charming and cozy. The kitchen and entire home was well supplied and every detail was spot on. We plan to return to experience another week at Lake Michigan. Staying here was the highlight or our 4 week Michigan tour. You can't beat the view and this quiet but convenient location.

Labor Day Stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay for Labor Day with our two kids and dog. The unit was clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend. Management is always so accommodating with our dog, bringing fresh towels and suggesting things to better our stay. We will be back again!

Great location

Easy access to downtown shops, parks and restaurants. Short drive to Petoskey, another great location. Property is a bit dated. Furnishing are very mismatch and old. Thrift store chic. Screened in porch is a nice touch but both sliding doors were old, rusty and difficult to open. Screen had fallen off one door. Air conditioning unit in bedroom is impossible to turn on since it is so high on the wall. Shower is very small. They do accept pets which is a plus. Every unit is different so look carefully. Pictures donā€™t tell the whole story.

Prime Location and Pet Friendly

Perfect location to walk downtown to restaurants and shops. We loved being able to travel with our small dogs as well. Well equipped and fun to use the indoor heated pool as well. My only suggestion to make it even better - - - needs to be updated in the bathroom. Older tile and tub that makes it a little drab.

Room was very clean. Bed and couch are VERY uncomfortable. There were noises all night long coming from the bedroom closet ceiling areaā€¦not sure if it was water lines or a drain or ? It was all night though and didnā€™t sleep muchā€¦

Luv charlevoix not this place

Room was nice, clean, spacious. The TV was really small but not a deal breaker. The room was noisy at night. Sounded like the heating pipes kicked on went off most of the night. Loud banging. Then the the fireplace and TV circuit blew. Husband fixed it. Told the front desk about the noises and the circuit. I was told that maintenence would check it out. Maintenence never came because I asked the front desk person if they came and she looked like she had no idea what I was talking about and she said they never came. While checking in we were told if we needed new towels to leave them out before 11am. We did and never got new towels. There were dogs that would bark early in the morning. Check out at 11am, we left around 8am. No front desk person until 9am and no where to leave the keys. We left the keys in the room. I left a voice-mail, had my husband take a picture to record the time. We will never stay here again.
