Best lodging ever

We cruised around the area, saw many of the other resorts, and realized we picked the right place. The privacy, the sights, the sounds, and great beach access all were awesome!

Amazing, as always!

This was our 5th visit to Congo Bongo and every visit has been amazing. It feels like home and family. Great customer service. Always available and responsive. Love the "in-house" dogs. We will be back.

Wonderful stay

We (2 adults and a 7 year old child) had a wonderful stay at the Dream Nature House. The friendly hosts, nature and our hut made it possible for us to enjoy a very special holiday. We would recommend the accommodation 100% ! Thanks for zu great time at congo-bongo

Exceeded Expectations

Several friends have told us about how great Congo Bongo is and we finally got to come and stay for a week. I love the indoor/outdoor living, the attention to comfort and nature. The hosts are attentive and share the fruit that grows on the land. It is a perfect place to come for a week and restore the senses and be reminded of all of the bounty and generosity that nature and humans offer. Nothing - it is perfect!

From Beautiful Beaches to Butterflies

What an incredible time at the Dream House. I loved cooking while watching the butterflies float in and out of the place. The staff was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful time. We will be back :)

Jungle meets the beach!

We loved visiting Manzanillo because it’s at the end of the road! Peaceful, not crowded, calm - our kind of place. Congo bongo was great! Friendly staff and easy to communicate with. A walk through the jungle to the beach and in to town was perfect! The howler monkeys above our house was thrilling! Nothing.

Dream Stay for our Anniversary

We stayed at the Dream Nature House for 10 days to celebrate our anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The house itself was beautful and it was a wonderful experience to make breakfast and coffee in the morning in the open air kitchen surrounded by flowers and butterflies with the sounds of howler monkey and toucans in the background. We had a short walk to a beautiful beach and went snorkeling many times in a reef nearby. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind and they cleaned and did our laundry every day. We would highly recommend that anyone that was looking for a beautiful, immersive rainforest eco-getaway consider this magical spot for their next trip! We can't think of anything! We loved it there.

Best. Jungle. Bungalow. Ever.

We were waking up to howler monkeys on the first morning, then making coffee in our outdoor kitchen. We saw blue morpho butterflies while cooking dinner, and saw black and green dart frogs under our car. The walk to the beach was true perfection. The beach was gorgeous. It was an animal and nature lovers' dream. I can wait to share this with my clients that I take around Costa Rica. And then the daily laundry service and the conversations of the Congo Bongo Staff, I felt like a part of a family. I will be back

Our 4th trip to Congo Bongo! Best yet! Celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary.

A Wonderful Stay

We loved the sense of being alone in our little house in the rainforest, with the noise of the howler monkeys and the sound of the birds. Everything was simple but it all worked and was comfortable. And it was good to know that help was on hand if we needed it. It really was a wonderful, memorable stay in a unique and gorgeous place. We were a bit taken aback by the noise from the beach at first, before we realised that it was Easter. It might have been good to have been told what the chaos was about and reassured that it would be over in a couple of days. After that the beach was blissfuly quiet. So maybe a little more communication when required by circumstances.

Schönes Häuschen mit sehr gutem Service

Das Häuschen ist angenehm groß und hat alle Annehmlichkeiten die man braucht. Ausgestattet mit einer Küche mit Gasherd, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Kühlschrank und Wasserfilter konnten wir uns immer ein leckeres Frühstück zubereiten. Frische Eier kann man direkt an der Rezeption kaufen. Das Dream Nature House liegt mitten im Wald, so dass man von der Straße nichts hört und in wenigen Minuten am Strand ist. Auch Manzanillo kann man in ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen (nachts sollte man aber eine Taschenlampe mitnehmen). Das Bett ist sehr bequem und das Moskitonetz sehr fein, so dass keine Mücke herein kommt. Es gibt einen Safe der fest mit dem Boden verschraubt ist. Das Bad ist sauber und offen gestaltet, für die Privatsphäre gibt es aber Vorhänge. Die zusätzliche Regenwald-Dusche draußen ist ein tolles Highlight, aber natürlich ohne Seife zu benutzen, da das Wasser direkt in die Natur geht. Die Betreiberfamilie und das Personal sind sehr nett und zuvorzukommend.

Perfect hideaway with private beach

- Spacious terrace with fully equipped kitchen - very nice design of the house - felt like we were alone on the property (the other houses are not within sight) - laundry service - opportunity to buy some local food on the property

An amazing place

How start to describe this place ... absolutely amazing!! It’s the place to stay in the Cahuita/Puerto Viejo area if you want the real eco lodge experience. Marisol was always there to advice us, on beaches, restaurants and she is a great monkey spotter. The standard of our lodge was superb - amenities to cook for yourself, sit back to enjoy breakfastdinner within the rainforest. Decor represents Costs Rica with amazing artwork and design. Quiet beach in walking distance, Loved our stay in Congo Bongo with Marisol!
