The space
Casa Aura is located directly on the spectacular beach of Punta Uva. It is a clean, recently built Caribbean Style - Elevated Unit with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, open patio with dining space, and includes many modern amenities, including 25 mbps fiber optic internet and an air-conditioned bedroom.

Surrounded by lush natural gardens full of exotic plants and wildlife, Casa Aura is one of only a handful of houses directly on Punta Uva beach, the most swimmable beach in the Puerto Viejo area. The house sits 50 meters from the water line which is the closest Costa Rican homes can legally be to the ocean.

FUN FACT: Outside Magazine and other travel publications have rated Punta Uva as one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world.

The treehouse features a wonderful bedroom with large sliding windows opening out towards the beach, garden, and patio areas. Additionally, you'll find yourself spending a lot of time enjoying the breeze passing through the clean kitchen with seating area for 2.

The kitchen includes:
- Refrigerator/freezer
- Gas stove
- Appliances (coffee maker, blender, rice cooker, kettle)
- Dish-ware and utensils

Other Amenities include:

- Massage Service in the onsite massage hut

- Hot water (not standard in Caribbean homes) is available in the shower, and the sink

- Drinking water and a natural water filter are provided to guests.

- Linens, house towels and beach towels are included.

- Security is a priority for us. Cameras monitor the outside areas of the property, and you will find a small safe for personal belongings.

- A light cleaning and laundry service (1x load per week) is included for stays of 6 nights or more. Additional cleaning and laundry can be arranged for a fee. For guests staying less than 6 days, laundry service (washed, dried and not folded) can be provided at $20 per load (1 load = 5kg) and must be arranged with the host.

We will try our best to make your stay at Casa Aura a great one! Our friendly and experienced property manager (most likely Mike Geist - Owner) will help make your stay comfortable, safe, and fun. Please feel free to talk to your host about any questions, suggestions, or concerns you may have about your visit.

A few important notes:

1) Casa Aura is surrounded by jungle plants and wildlife. While we make a concerted effort to keep the house clean, comfortable, and safe,. we are located in the jungle and not absent from bugs or other critters.

2) Regarding privacy: this accomodation is on the same property as two other rental homes, Casa de la Musa and Casa Cielo. From time to time you may see the property owner or other guests during your stay. If you would like interaction, information, or just need to borrow misc items, it's just a few steps away for your convenience. Otherwise, expect every effort to be made for complete privacy.

Guest access
You will have the whole house to enjoy as your own, however you will not have access to our laundry or storage rooms.
Other things to note
Restaurants & groceries are close by. There are well-reviewed guided nature hikes in the nearby preserve, fishing trips, surf lessons, scuba/snorkeling, horseback riding and more to experience while you’re here.

The stretch between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo is short and easy to visit from the central location of this property. There's no need to book multiple places in order to see each of the beautiful beaches and their communities.

As this property is a private vacation home, we will need you to pre-schedule your arrival time with us to ensure your host is onsite to let you in. Please remember our check-in times are between 3:00pm-9:00pm. We hold the right to refuse entry and/or charge a late entry fee of $50usd if you arrive after our check-in hours.
