Self contained studio flat in Central London. Very well maintained, lovely place to stay and enjoy London. Zone 1, just around the corner from Hyde Park. Has all the necessary amenities. Got a kitchenette with stove and hob, shower and toilet. There is a double bed. Guest have exclusive access to the flat during their stay. Very close to Paddington Station (3 minutes walk) with Heathrow Express just 15 minutes away from Heathrow airport, and Lancaster Gate station (1 minute walk).

just what i was looking for!

i stayed here for 5 nights by myself. it was my first time in london, and i had spent tons of time searching for the perfect place that included safety, location, space, and price. this place included it all! it is in a hot area in the city so you space is something you have to sacrifice, but it was perfect for one person

Great London Stay!

This was the perfect place to stay for my husband and I for a few days in London. Itā€™s centrally located - SUPER easy to get around everywhere - and our host was great! Highly recommend.

Great spot in a beautiful area

We had a 2 night stay and really enjoyed the surrounding area. Vlada was friendly, communicative and helpful. The apartment was cozy and had everything we needed.

Small, but great location

The studio was as described. It has all the essentials. Great for an individual or a couple. The greatest asset was the fantastic location to everything (train stations, pubs/restaurants, theaters, parks, etc). The check-in/out process was easy for us to navigate. Our host did a nice job checking in to make sure we had everything that we needed.

Great location, hoped for a little better communication

Our stay was amazing - great location and great little place. I never received check out instructions though and couldnā€™t get a hold of the host so I was late for an event trying to return the keys. Other than that we had a great stay!

Solid overall, stellar location

Top strength is the locatio , hard to come by a place so close to Hyde park for this price. Also, showerā€™s got great water pressure, and the room is well lit / just large enough for what you need. They had a small fan that helps on the hotter days and a convenient hair dryer. main downside was the Murphy bed has no head rest and the springs are a bit uncomfortable. Also make sure to bring your own body soap.

Location was excellent-easy walk to Paddington station. Street had coffee/breakfast shops and a couple of nice restaurants. Apartment is exactly as posted. Small grocers within 5 min walk for snacks and food if you want to eat in. Our host was excellent to provide timely information and photos for key retrieval and check in before we arrived, however, it must be noted that the check-in location is on a different street than the actual flat and the key location is a lockbox hanging on a wall in a large parking lot and there are a lot of lockboxes! We could not find the lockbox and when we called the host, she did not answer! We received help from 2 strangers walking by to help us locate the right lockbox. Thank goodness-otherwise we would have had to get a hotel room! Then, the next morning our host messaged ā€œI did not answer your call because it was too late, I hope you got into the flatā€. This host behaviour was disturbing to us, that our host was not answering her phone in a time of high need. We also messaged and got no response. Though, from her response, she knew it was is calling. Againā€¦ thank goodness for the kindness of strangers.

Small Flat Good location

Flat is small, bed is Murphy style and the mattress is rather old and squeaky springs. The hardest part was getting in. Hosts uses a key box. We were given the wrong location and a photo of the wrong box. It is a bit nerve wracking when getting into a new city and not being able to get into the VRBO. The Host was reasonably quick in response to help us find the right box, but the correct info should have come to us in the first message.

Lancaster Gate Flat

The flat needs work as far as things working or not working. Contacted the property owner when we arrived and it took 4-5 days for them to respond. Mattress was old and extremely used. Pillows seemed like they where from our plane ride and linens where stained. Bathroom towels where old and unacceptable. Its location was good for trains, tube access and buses.

Location is very convenient; easy walking distance to tube stations, Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens, amenities. Apartment is small (especially bathroom), but just enough for us. Kitchenette is adequate for breakfast & simple cooking (not heavy cooking). Lift goes up to 4th storey (3rd floor) where our apartment is. Not too difficult for the key pick-up & drop-off; although it is in another development 2 streets away. One major gripe: I am still waiting for the return of the balance refund due to us. P.s. I canā€™t see the description of the categories of comments above.

We arrived at the flat and the stench in the apartment was so over powering it was making us nauseous. The bed was a Murphy bed that folded out of the wall. There is no AC. The head of the bed is lower than the foot of the bed and it is not comfortable. The towels were old and paper thin. The bathroom appeared dirty. After being so exhausted from our travels I didnā€™t think to take pictures and I wish I would have. I had to reach out to VRBO twice because we were not getting responses from our host. One of the times being before arrival to check in.

Great place for a quick stay

We had a quick 2 night stay in the flat. The photos show all that is included, so it is small, yes, but it was good for heading back after a day of touring to shower, sleep and lie back. There is no AC, which is advertised correctly. Depending on the weather, it might be quite hot in the suite, but a fan is provided. The TV does not really work to be honest. Itā€™s cable, and the cord had interference consistently, so itā€™s best to just have your own lab top or streaming device. There was left over candy or food of some kind in the cupboards from previous tenants that one would likely not want to eat after the fact. Location is good. Nice and quite, as well as close to Paddington station for efficient public transit. Overall, the suite comes as advertised, with the exception of the TV.

Best Location!

I loved the area this apartment is in. Wonderful little places to have breakfast or dinner on the very block. Laundry across the street. Mini mart a few doors down. Transit (both train and tube) very close, although I must walk a bit slower than the person who wrote the listing! I always felt safe walking in the area. The apartment is VERY compact, so beware if you are a large person or two people. I had to turn sideways to enter the bathroom and could not move much in the shower, but everything worked properly. Some mold in the shower and the hallways smelled of bug repellent. The apartment did not smell, but every time I approached it, I had to hold my breath. The bed was comfortable for me. Finding the keys was not a problem, but returning them to the same place was a bit of a pain with my suitcase and needing to call a cab. Would be nice if they could be left in the apartment, but I managed! Staying in London was the best!!
