The house is as advertised. It's a nice home in a great part of Gloucester, with a short walk to an awesome beach and plenty of good restaurants nearby.Check-in and communication, however, were rough. When we arrived, the lockbox didn't work with the code we were given. Luckily the house was unlocked, but we then went more than 24 hours without a key to the property. When I followed up the next morning, communication was frustrating. Messages appear to go to a collective management group, and the representatives changed frequently without reviewing the earlier text thread, so we had to re-explain the issue repeatedly. I requested a call from a local property manager and never received one. We went hours without updates while waiting on an ETA for a cleaner to drop off a key, and when I asked for better communication and more proactive follow-up, some of the replies were rude.Eventually we were told the cleaner had left a key in the lockbox and told that it would work now. We later found the key in a bag on the front porch, where anyone could have come across it, likely because the cleaner couldn't open the lockbox either. All of our valuables were inside the property at the time. Fortunately the house is secluded and no one entered.Management should tighten up its check-in process and should have a local property manager available when issues like this come up. The property itself is great, but the service made for a stressful start to our stay.
