Access to 2 lanais and private tropical garden, great views of Mt Haupu, and walk to everything Poipu has to offer -- best beaches, snorkeling, hiking trails, and restaurants. Part of Poipu Kai complex with access to pool, tennis, green belt.

It was the perfect stay! Exactly what we were looking for. Not only was the host extremely kind, there was everything you might need and more. Everything was easy to find and was a great location to everything we wanted to do.

Great location, quick access to Poipu and Shipwreck beaches. The accommodation was very comfortable, cozy, with a mostly fully operational kitchen and gas grill on one of the two lanais. We had many meals en suite which adds to our enjoyment of Holoni house.

Great location

Less than a mile from the beach where turtles swim up to the shore at sunset. We didn’t even need the A/C because when you open the windows, it has the best airflow. The host was amazing and quick to respond. We had a great time.

Wonderful family stay

The house was in the perfect location. We had everything we needed for myself, my husband and our teen kids to enjoy a wonderful beach vacation.

Great place…great host

Clean, non-condo space that is located perfectly if you prefer to stay in South Kauai. Lots of amenities to make you feel more like home, and a very friendly host that is more than willing to offer advice and help to ensure you have a great stay. We will be looking here first for any subsequent trip to Kauai.

Excellent property

We really enjoyed our stay the place is great very comfortable, location is amazing, only thing it needs a new shower spigot, were water comes out, and shower head. Very close to great beaches greenbelt path is great! Loved the place. Thanks John.

The location and house setup were 5 stars, but the house has a strong odor of mold. After airing out the house, the odor was tolerable, but still caused allergy issues. Other reviews didn’t mention this so I’m not sure if this is a new issue. There is only a/c in the bedroom, which is also important if you plan on having anyone stay in the pull out bed during summer. The a/c works well but is very loud and sounds like a gallon of water is constantly being drained. There were also period stains on the bedsheets. The house is located on a quiet street and would’ve been wonderful otherwise.

An awesome place to stay in Poipu

My parents had a great time at this property. It was clean, comfortable, and had lots of amenities. Despite not having a range, we were able to use their plug in electrical stove to cook some simple meals. John the property manager was responsive and friendly. The view from the Lanai was gorgeous too. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Wonderful property with great location

This was our 2nd visit to this amazing property! It’s in a residential area with a superb location....close enough to walk to the beach different ways. We enjoy the ability of a kitchen (and grill) and being able to combine food preparation with an occasional visit to a restaurant. The breezes are very cooling...there are even 2 lanais, and the house is just....well....comfortable! The agent, John, is amazingly attentive, and he was the agent when we visited 5 years ago! This property is a gem and should be given serious consideration!. We will seek this property on every visit to Kauai!

Can't find any cons. Scrupulous standards. Nice personal touches. Softest towels ever. Walking distance to the beach through nice grounds. Loved waking up to the view of lush landscaped lanai. Very private. Art on the walls is definitely beyond what one expects from a rental. This house is loved.

Beautiful Views Close to Beaches

This lovely home is situated in a beautiful community with sidewalks and a greenbelt path close by which leads down to Brenneke & Poipu Beach Parks. From here it is easy access to all main travel routes by auto. All the amenities needed to enjoy your time at the beach are included. The host of this property, John, is a real asset. He is very responsive to questions and requests and knows the area very well and he shared info about how and where to enjoy this gorgeous island. Early mornings and evenings relaxing on one of the 2 lanais was a favorite time for us. The breezes cool you off and the views, sunsets and moonlight are extra special.

It was advertised to have an air conditioner but it did not function. I called the manager the first day but it was never fixed so It was very hard to sleep in the heat. I asked for a rebate but the owner screamed at the manager that I should have left the first day. But I had already paid over $ 2,000 for a 5 day stay.

Good location to adventure the island - space for improvement

The kitchen was sufficiently equipped, didn't miss a stove, the BBQ was a good addition. Large bathroom and enough storage for clothes in the bedroom. Thanks to fresh breeze A/C hardly every used. Good beach gear available to walk to the close shipwreck beach. Few eating options in walking distance. The bed was quite wide but bit short for a taller person. The pillows had a bit of a sweat smell. Overall the apartment had a odd smell. Unfortunately several mosquito nets outside the windows were not in place anymore, so not all windows could be opened. Parts of the kitchen were not properly cleaned, small dirt in drawers, top of coffee machine maker was sticky, fridge not 100% clean and also floor felt bit filthy. Overall the property could use some refurbishment. Ex. tarnished mirror, one discolored towel, new furniture for TV as with the doors you have to open the view to the TV is limited, repair on the windows.

Terrific location, pretty and private but a few glitches

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We were in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood, a short walk to Brennecke beach and, through the greenbelt, to the walk past the Hyatt, Shipwreck Beach, and miles more along the ocean. No need for AC with the 2 ceiling fans, and the 2nd lanai, private off the BR, was a nice bonus. The washer and dryer worked well, though the dryer's loud squeak was annoying. The bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the cooler when bringing perishable groceries home. One unpleasant surprise was the lack of a stove. We'd read about the slow-to-heat-up hot plate, which is still very slow, but assumed it was an extra rather than a substitute for a cook-top. The hot plate, counter-top oven and microwave didn't adequately take the place of a range for us. One of the igniters on the bbq grill didn't work. The grill also badly needed cleaning. The bars that deflect the gas flame had a lot of grease built up. It caught fire and charred our chicken, even with the heat on low. There were bbq tools but no basting brush for bbq sauce, and no brush to clean the grill. A light by the grill would be helpful.

The unit was everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking and serving supplies. There were plenty of towels and sheets provided. There was an air conditioner which was nice on the really warm days. The area felt very safe and quiet. We were in walking distance of so much beauty. The beaches were just stunning. There were also plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby.

Quiet and relaxing

This basement apartment had everything we needed and was quiet and private. The yard surrounding area is lovely and the property is close to food and activities. The pool and hot tub access was nice, but the hot tub heat was broken. The manager, John, was helpful. He even gave us early access, which was awesome in light of our early arrival time. A home run for my daughter and me.
