Welcome to koolkondo where you will experience luxury vacation rentals at its finest. Our stylish boutique hotel style condos and homes have it all. You will absolutely enjoy your home away from home with VIP concierge style services in modern island luxury!

Aloha and welcome to Poipu Shores A405. A true oceanfront location with unobstructed, breath-taking views of the Pacific ocean and the Poipu coastline from the balcony. This home consists of two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Sunsets, turtles and the waves crashing are daily sight to see. Onsite fresh water heated pool. This unit is on the top floor with elevator access. 

Poipu Shores is also within walking distance to Poipu Beach, Keoniloa Bay, Shipwrecks beach, and Brenneckes restaurant, and a short drive to historic Koloa Town. The unit is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. All beach gear available as well. Our on island manager is available to make your dream vacation spectacular!

Air Conditioning- Hawaii is known for its trade winds. Many homes on Kauai have been designed for "open airflow" using screened windows and screened sliding doors, and DO NOT have air conditioning. Please be sure and confirm when making your reservation whether the home you have chosen does or does NOT have air conditioning. Depending on the season, or even the day, temperatures typically range between 74 to 84 for the highs, and 60 to 74 for the lows, year-round. Refunds or discounts ARE NOT given for lack of Air Conditioning in a property.

Any bookings longer than 7 days will be charged a $200 mid- cleaning fee. Our staff will come and do a "refresh" during your stay.

This condo was very pleasant, had a great view directly overlooking the ocean, very clean, all amenities as listed and in good condition, & always a parking spot available. The property contact person was delightful, responded quickly to questions, alerted us to stormy conditions coming up and super helpful. I especially liked that it was NOT full of little decos to need to be careful of. Strong Recommend for this one.

Host is very responsive. I didn’t end up staying in this property so I can’t review. However, the property that we moved to was a great location, great views, clean, plenty of parking, and accommodating.

Nice large home. A little dated but still comfortable. We were originally booked in the oceanfront Koolkondo apartment but because it was getting some plumbing work, the owner moved us to the home at 2283 Hoo’hu. This review is for the home and not for the oceanfront apartment.

Amazing Property with Spectacular Views

planned this trip for my 81-year-old mother, who had always dreamed of seeing the turtles one last time. I found this property, and it couldn't have been more perfect—especially with elevator access, which made things much easier for her. We spent hours on the patio, enjoying the sound of waves crashing against the lava rocks and watching the turtles right from where we sat. It was a truly special and memorable experience.

KoolKondo 405A

The view from this condo is breathtaking, the condo was excellent and we enjoyed our stay. We will be back. Beds were so comfy.I loved this condo, the only negative Is the bathroom shower in the main bedroom is tricky and I we had to play with it to get the shower to come on.We could literally hear waves crashing every night!!! And turtles right below us every single day.

Christmas stay

We had a wonderful time staying over Christmas. There were binoculars in the condo and we spotted a whale and lots of sea turtles, and the balcony views were unbeatable. The beds were comfortable and the layout of the kitchen and fining/living spaces were great. It would be nice to have a few pantry staples for cooking other than salt and pepper, otherwise it was incredible! Location was perfect.

Perfection

Book this place! Thoughtfully appointed with everything you need - even laundry detergent. The beds were comfy and the air conditioning worked great, but the best part were the views: cute turtles every morning and amazing sunsets every evening!

PERFECT LOCATION IN POIPU AREA

The owner thought of every detail to make our stay at the condo very enjoyable!! The condo was clean and well stocked with enough towels, beach towels, beach equipment, etc. The binoculars were perfect to zoom in and watch the many sea turtles below our lanai. You are able to get an idea of view from condo in real time from “Live Cams”, as the camera is right next to the condo pointed in direction of Poipu Beach. The condo is in a great location to walk to Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach. It is also within walking distance of the Lava Arch Beach, which has access to a trail that connects to Shipwreck Beach and the Maha’ulepu Heritage Trail…it was a very convenient trail to walk to the Grand Hyatt for breakfast at Ilima Terrace and dinner at Tidepools (even though kitchen in condo was well stocked, being on vacation I opted not to cook). Ear plugs were provided and appreciated in the second bedroom, as the window isn’t sound proof so you are able to hear people in hall coming and going. Master bedroom/bath is on the ocean side so all you hear is the soothing sounds of the waves (no ear plugs needed)!

The property location was awesome. The floors at the condo were not clean along with a comforter that had an unidentifiable stain and clearly not washed. The property mgr communicated consistently and did assure me that his cleaning company would be notified.

Excellent Location!

We truly enjoyed this condo, the convenient location to Poipu Beach and the stunning views! The fourth floor location was perfect for watching sea turtles below, watching the surf crash against the rocks, and activities down the coastline at Shipwreck Beach. The roof overhang protected us from the rain so we could enjoy the outdoors even when raining. It is a short drive to Koala Town, Poipu Shopping Center and The Shops at Kakui'ula where there are many dining options. The location is a very short walk to Shipwreck or Poipu Beach, so you can avoid the congested parking lots. You can also pick up the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail just up the street to enjoy a beautiful walk along the coastline. We appreciated the thoughtful conveniences such as complimentary shampoo and conditioner, body wash, laundry detergent, beach chairs and sun umbrella! The bed and pillows were so comfortable, and after acclimating to the very loud surf, we slept great! A few items in need of improvement would be fixing the sliding screen door, replacing non-stick pans in kitchen, and checking drains on the faucets as they did not go easily go up/down and were slow. Upgrading the hairdryer and adding a lighted and magnified makeup mirror would be a nice addition. Overall this is a super comfortable condo with stunning views and an outstanding location. We hope to return next year!

The condo was in an ideal location, which was part of our decision to choose it for our visit. Another factor in our choice was air conditioning. Unfortunately, the whole time we were there, it was broken. There were fans to use, which sadly eliminated the sound of the ocean. We received no refund for this, even though it made our stay less than ideal. The condo was very well equipped, the manager was very kind and attentive. The only thing lacking was a small table or two next to our chairs. All in all, it’s a great place to stay if the air conditioning is working.

Amazing location

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in 405A. The condo was comfortable and well stocked. Even in January, having AC was a bonus. The view from the lanai is amazing. We saw tons of turtles and a couple whales and dolphins. The pool area is beautiful and there was hardly anyone using it. The location is great. It's close to beaches and many very good restaurants. The only drawback is the parking can be tricky at times... access can be difficult and spaces are small. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Family time

Adult family of 5 enjoyed poipu shores! Beautiful view, great neighborhood and within walking distance of several perfect beaches. Condo was well stocked and very clean. Comfy beds.

Great condo with views of the island and surf

Convenient location minutes from beaches and restaurants. View from the balcony is impressive- watching the surf crashing into the rocks below. Corey and as always timely in addressing any problems and making suggestions for sights to see. We would definitely return for another stay here!

Beautiful Sunsets

This unit is perfect to watch the beautiful Hawaii sunsets. We were able to watch dolphins leaping out of the water, sea turtles feeding on the rocks and even a monk seal swimming in the water. The unit had everything you needed and we enjoyed our stay.

Can’t wait to go back!

Location is incredible! Can walk to multiple beaches and food locations. So fun to sit on patio and listen and watch waves crash. We loved every second of it and will be first place we book on our next trip.

The Ocean is the Star

The ocean view, ocean access and ocean sounds are the star of this property. The unobstructed view of the ocean is beyond belief and the sound of the waves crashing on shore is a wonderful lullaby. The beach is close by with a short Oceanside stroll.

Views are amazing

The pictures of the view are accurate — simply stunning. Our main complaint is that the primary bathroom’s shower is outdated as is the living room sofa.
