This Gulf-front condo is also near plenty of local attractions and activities including the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, Gulf State Park Pier, an amusement park, golfing, and dining.

After a full day of exploring the area or lounging by the zero-entry pool that overlooks the Gulf, come home to relax on the sofa and enjoy the cable TV. When the group gets hungry, take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen. Eat meals or play games together at the dining table. Rest up in the tranquil bedrooms and get ready for another day of vacation bliss. Start your next day off right with coffee on the balcony where you can enjoy the fresh air and spectacular water views. There’s something for everyone when you stay at San Carlos.

The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We arrived late in the evening. Our cars were tagged for towing early next morning. Says to purchase parking pass at kiosk on 3rd floor. There is no kiosk. And no attendant on duty. Took awhile to get parking permits situated. The condo is in very poor repair. Mold in shower. Broken/cracked countertop. Stained and very worn furniture. Ceiling has noticeable damage. Most walls are pretty banged up. In need of sheetrock repair and paint. Half of the curtains missing in the living room. Master suite had curtains that needed to be rehung. We got on a chair to fix when we arrived. Cabinetry in kitchen is peeling/cracking. If looking for a high end experience, this is not it.

The property was awe inspiring, the view was breathtaking, there was plenty of space for my family. There was good separation between rooms. The open concept in the kitchen, dining, and living was great as well.

We arrived on Thursday evening to find only 1 Adirondack chair that wasn't broken with a patio table that didn't have any chairs. I contacted Vaccasa and was told someone would contact me once they got approved to fix the issue. On the 4th day, when we were packed and leaving they said it was going to be delivered any minute but that didn't do me any good. We didn't have chairs for the days or 4 nights that we were there. On Friday, after a day at the beach, we found a note on the dryer DO NOT USE""UNDER REPAIR. This was ridiculous to have to use dirty beach towels that were sandy and wet for two more days. They did finally place 6 towels on the door Sunday but no wash clothes. There are several other issues that need to be repaired such as dripping faucets, loud ceiling fan and mold in master bath shower. I looked at previews from December 2024 and these issues were noted but no one has addressed tthem.i hope these issues get resolved before it is rented out again.

Disappointing Stay-Not Worth the Premium Price

We were very disappointed with our stay at this penthouse condo. The photos used in the listing were deceiving-they made the space look clean, modern, and well-maintained. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience at all. Upon arrival, we found the unit was not very clean. The furniture had visible stains, and the walls and baseboards were scuffed and beat up, giving the place a rundown feel. To make things worse, the outdoor chairs were broken, and there was only seating for four people outside, even though the unit accommodates eight. That made it difficult for our group to enjoy the outdoor space together. We expected much more considering the premium price we paid for a penthouse. The lack of upkeep and misleading photos made this stay feel like a letdown. Would not recommend unless serious updates and maintenance are done.

Beautiful view less than clean

The view. Nothing beats that view. It’s amazing. Some things to note. The balcony was lovely, unfortunately it did not have enough furniture. We had three plastic chairs, Two were broken, a two person small bench and a nice table with no chairs. One of the bathrooms had mold just above the shower stall. Someone did come to clean it but as we all know once mold is on dry wall, cleaning with bleach is not the answer it needs to be replaced. The furniture couch, beds, and chairs are older and are not as comfortable and could use replacing. One of the bedrooms didn’t have a blanket for the bed and there were no extras anywhere to be found. I have been in a few rented houses for vacations , and usually there are some items available upon arrival that are needed for a successful vacation like coffee! They have both a drip machine and a kcup machine. But there are no coffee filters, kcups in the condo. Also zero spices not even salt and pepper. There are a few dishwasher pods and two pacs of laundry detergent to use during your stay. We were also given one extra trash bag. They do also supply small shampoos and conditioners and dove soap bars in each bathroom. I know, I know it’s sounds like a bad review, it’s truthful not intended to be that. These are just a few things that my family had wished we knew before we booked. We still had a lovely time. We really loved the location. We would book here again but be prepared for the lack of amenities.

You can't beat the view!

Very comfortable place for 5 adults. Great location and beautiful view of the Gulf for sunrise and sunsets. Nice pool and beach access.

Nice place but outdated

The place was really clean but needs to be updated. The baseboards need to be replaced. The TVs are super-outdated. Maybe if some smart TVs were added and streaming services available, this place would be top notch.

Family time.

We enjoyed our stay.. there were not many face rages or towels.. only one towel and two face rages per room. (We had an unexpected cost of purchasing those items). But the rooms were clean . We enjoyed ourselves and will return.
