Great Gulf Shore Stay

We enjoyed being right on the water. The views were spectacular along with the fast elevator, fantastic water pressure, great ac, close proximity to the pier/state park, and ease of checking in and out. We would stay here again and again!

Great little spot for a quick getaway.

Don’t recommend

Shower head falls off if you move it, Shower doors fall off of rails, Bed squeaks and sounds like it is about to break , TV signal terrible, dirty couch, needs painting and deep cleaning.

Beautiful beach view

We love staying here because it’s never extremely to crowded and you have a lot of empty beach space because it’s the last condo before the state park.

Just what we needed

This quiet place is in a lovely location with plenty of space to the left (state park land), so it was not at all crowded on the beach. We also love the indoor/outdoor pools and the hot tub. And there is a great little market right up the street!

Quick trip

This was a perfect stay for a little girls get away. There might could’ve been a few extra dishes that needed replacing but overall. It was a wonderful stay!

Unit needs updated severely. Needs new paint, floors and furnishings. The shower door in the master bathroom is not on the track and has mold around the caulk. The bathroom doors have hairspray buildup, the bathroom fixtures are rusted, lightbulbs are missing, the plug ins are so warn out things will not stay plugged in. They asked if someone could assist with these issues but I told them nothing can be done on such short notice but to please notify the owners so maybe something can be done for future guests. Gulf shores is our go to vacation spot and we go every year. This unit is by far the most run down we have stayed in especially for the amount of money paid. We are so disappointed. The best thing about it is the beach access and view.

Location great. Pretty run down. The mattress on the kids beds were more like for patio furniture than a nights sleep. Had to double up those mattresses and utilize the pullout couch which was also very uncomfortable. Dishwasher had standing water in the bottom when we got there so didn’t use. Overall, fine I guess but definitely not Woolf not stay or recommend

Pleasant stay

The view and location is great. One bed room condo is small. Had issue with bath room sink draining and some light bulbs were out. Bunk bed was uncomfotable to sleep on. Condo was quiet and overall a relaxing stay.

Issues

Internet Login was incorrect TV Remote did not work - had to get maintenance who checked it out. Advised we had to use button on TV to turn on. Most stations were shaky & not viewable. Shower in bed room drips. White chairs on balcony are mildewed. Door was difficult to unlock.

Amazing location

Best idea yet. Being able to stay in the beach steps away from the ocean and a convenient wash off area to reduce sand tracking in. Love being able to wash towels, swim suits etc. Can use some upgrades but if your just staying there to rest between outings it’s perfect t. I recommend given the location and price. I’d do it again. Oh also we had a minor issue and when we reached out to management they responded very quickly and followed up to ensure we were happy. Fantastic service.

Amenities not as described

I have stayed here before. My favorite in Gulf Shores. However when we arrived they were irking on the roof the entire stay. Also the hot tub was not operational nor the sauna. These were 2 of the deciding factors for us because of the cool weather. We didn’t even get to use them.

Great location!

The location was great! Right on the edge of the beach so it was less crowded-even for a holiday. It’s an older building so the condo is aged, but smaller which we preferred. The home was well stocked with things we needed to cook. My biggest complaint was the beds and couch. The bunk beds were basically foam mattresses which my teens said were very uncomfortable. Also the couch was old and worn and very uncomfortable to sit on. We spent most of our time on the balcony which was amazing! We ate out there too and rented chairs on the beach to lounge during the day. It was great to be right on the water! I would stay here again and hope the furniture is updated.

Comfort and view

Gorgeous view and enjoyed the balcony. The lounge chair is broken so we could not use it. The living room furniture is comfortable and clean. Kitchen supplies are decent but we brought some of our own. Only one kitchen towel is supplied and a sponge. We brought our own as we stayed two weeks. Refrigerator took forever to cool and I had contacted maintenance but by morning it was cold. Probably needs to be replaced. Bedroom is nice however no mattress pad and the mattress is cheap and very uncomfortable. I took their comforter and used as a mattress pad but still not comfortable. Shower doors in master do not roll correctly so it’s a fight to close them. Even though there are some negatives I love this property as we stayed in a different unit last year. We will return

Condo was fine, Property management was awful!

The property itself was fine. It was mostly clean, although the fold ou couch bed was FULL of sand and obviously had not been cleaned. The bunk bed "mattresses" were 2 inch thick pillows laid on the wooden slab of the bunk. Even the children were uncomfortable. The master shower door wouldn't open or close without falling off onto whoever was showering. Notably even the main door lock did not work. We called management about not being able to get in and they sent someone local to "fix" it. He showed us a trick to open it and promised to be back in the morning to replace the lock but never came back. Absolutely none of this phased us. It was only when the wifi stopped working 2 days into our trip and we called Vacasa to help that the problems started. They kept saying they were sending someone local, but no one ever came. I called them every day and spent way too much time texting them through the app, but I was ignored. When we arrived, the wifi name and password did not work, but the guy who came to fix the lock gave us the property's main wifi/pass combo. When it stopped working I asked about the wifi that was labeled with our unit number, trying to get a password for that, but I was still ignored. The final evening of our trip I got on the app AGAIN to ask for help, and after getting the same run around from Vacasa I saw that the wifi listed on the app had changed and now the wifi was our unit number. It worked, but our trip was over. No help or discount giv

Nice Condo Building - But Unit could be better - Details are Important!

Royal Palms is a nice building where we have stayed many times before. This unit is not one of the best. The floors were dirty upon arrival; even sandy. There was only one blanket in the unit for all of us. The master bedroom had only sheets on the bed; no comforter, quilt, blanket, nothing but sheets. There was an old and very dirty comforter thrown in the floor of the closet which we definitely did not use! We were able to borrow blankets from another unit where someone we know was staying and they had plenty! The shower door in the master bathroom does not close all the way. The sofa is sagging and full of stains. When you pull out the sofa sleeper it is uneven and obviously very worn. Online photos are nice but are outdated.

Horrible Experience… Ruined Our Vacation…Don’t Stay Here

We arrived to find our unit had not been cleaned before our trip and probably not in the last few weeks The floor was so dirty it made the bottoms of our feet black so we had to wear shoes inside the unit everyday. Contacted Vacasa multiple times about the issues and never received a call back from the on site employees or Vacasa higher ups. After we sent Vacasa approximately 15 pictures showing how filthy the unit was, they responded with a text saying they were sorry and would reach out. No one ever reached out! After multiple attempts we received an apology via text but not even the courtesy of a phone call. This company doesn’t care about its customers and it clearly showed with us. We had stayed at this building before using other rental companies and never had these types of issues. Please don’t waste your money or your time. Wished we hadn’t stayed here! Won’t rent from Vacasa again!
