The white sand beach of Gulf Shores is yours to enjoy at Ocean Reef 8 801, a multi-level, beachfront condo with wonderful views of the Gulf of Mexico.


After a day spent down on the beach (which is accessed via an outdoor staircase from the deck), you can come home to relax in central air conditioning, use the free WiFi to share a few photos, or sit outside on the deck to swap stories of your adventures. Inside, you'll have a full kitchen, ample space to dine at the breakfast bar and the six-person table, and a gulf-front living room with a flatscreen TV for your evening entertainment.


Ocean Reef is a beachfront complex with an outdoor swimming pool and a sundeck where you can lounge in the shade of swaying palm trees. In this wonderfully central part of Gulf Shores, you'll be an easy walk from popular restaurants, eateries, bars, and ice cream parlors, and just over a mile west of Gulf State Park. Gulf Shores Parkway - the thoroughfare that's home to Waterville USA and dozens of other activities and attractions - is only half a mile east as well.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the ā€œDamage Waiverā€). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location and walking access to beach. Great view, 2nd level queen bed can use update mattress. Perfect for a family trip. We would stay here again.

Amazing gulf shores vacation

Omg!! The view of the beach from the living room and master bedroom was amazing. I would definitely stay here again!! Carpet definitely needs to be removed and xtra blankets and pillows would be nice. But this location is great and super convenient. I loved our trip!

Great location

Our family loved this condo, it was a great location, close to restaurants and shops, there is a liquor store, ice cream and a pizza place across the street. It was so nice to be able to walk down the steps of the deck and be right on the beach. The pool was very nice, there were plenty of lounge chairs. the only thing wrong was the patio table on the deck was missing.

If you want a great location this place is it.

This property has been partially updated. I would recommend new beds. Bedding was minimal, I would recommend blankets. The bathroom shower off the master bedroom needs cleaning up. I would recommend running cleaner and wiping the wash machine as well as having a broom available with a dust pan to help keep sand cleaned up. Better yet a hose at the top of the steps instead of a bucket of water to rinse your feet. The pool area has bugs on the deck and chairs both times I went. Pay attention to detail such as having matching and nice throw rugs in the bathroom. With a little time and attention this could be an awesome place!

Favorite place we've ever stayed

We have stayed many places over the years in different parts of the country. We loved this area, it's clean, friendly, and perfect. It's all the best parts of Florida without the bad. But the best part was this condo. It's perfect for families. I can't think of one thing I didn't like about it. It was perfect. We will be back to visit this great underrated state and when we do, we will stay here.

If you want location this is it.

The location was great to the beach and restaurants and stores were walkable. The downside was the beds. Bedding was minimal with no extra blankets available and they werenā€™t comfortable. There needs to be a better way to rinse feet than a bucket of water. There should be a way to put a hose at the top of the steps. The wash machine needs to be cleaned. There is a great deal of mold in the rubber seal. The pool area wasnā€™t very clean. We went twice with a couple of days in between and there were bugs all over the pool deck and chairs. If things were updated I would stay here again.

Loved everything!

First off the beaches and location were great. We were able to walk to everything we needed except for groceries. The condo was very clean, and looked like the bottom floor was upgraded, which was very nice. The icemachine didn't seem to make very much ice, it emptied twice a day. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Great Location

Myself and 5 friends stayed for 6 nights. We had plenty of beds and space. Everything was clean inside but the front balcony and chairs were pretty dirty. Had to wipe the chairs out and clean the table. The location is awesome. Several restaurants and shops are in easy walking distance. The beach access doesnā€™t get any better! Kitchen is nice with newer appliances. Itā€™s not very well stocked for those who want to cook. All that said, we had a great time and would recommend staying here. The pool area is nice also.

Perfect for several families!

We stayed at one of the condos at Ocean Reef years ago, and Iā€™ve wanted to come since. We had seven families rent 3 condos in 3 different units, and it was perfect! Close to stores for necessities and fun if you like to go out. The best part is that it is steps from the beach. Plenty of room for families to be together, yet have their space. The only thing I would recommend is taking some extra throw blankets from home. Each bed had sheets and a thin blanket. After spending the day in the beach and coming in with a sunburn, you can get a chill, so a few extra blankets were nice! Thank you for sharing your condo! We did not want to leave!

No service

I called for 4 days trying to get the dryer fixed. they kept telling me to be patient and it would be fixed, but no one showed up. I spent hours of my vacation time on the phone trying to get it fixed and going to the laundry mat to dry towels and clothes. I do not recommend at all.

Beautiful view but many broken or not working things in home

We stayed 5 nights. We chose this home because it had a washer/dryer. With 2 adults and 5 children we picked it for the washer/dryer. We packed only a few clothes knowing we could do laundry. The unit was broken! I had to hand wash clothes and hang dry them. It was very frustrating!!! On my vacation. One bedroom had no working lights. Hallway lights did not work. The front door did not latch and opened by itself. The view was beautiful. The house itself was clean and nice except the issues I mentioned. All in all we had a great stay.
