Very cute little place to spend a weekend! My friends, partner, and I slept comfortably. The lake itself is very nice (though weather unfortunately prevented us from going out on it with the kayaks) and it is within a short drive to Hartford, UConn, and plenty of things to do. Connecticut is such a lovely state! The purpose of our trip was so that my partner and I could look at apartments in town. We were already excited to move to CT, but after this trip, we became completely confident in how much we know we will love it. Thanks for a great weekend!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! 🌊✨ We’re glad the lakeside house provided a comfortable and relaxing home base for your weekend. While it’s a shame the weather didn’t cooperate for kayaking, we’re happy you were still able to enjoy the lake, explore the area, and get a feel for everything Connecticut has to offer. Congratulations on your upcoming move! It’s wonderful to hear your visit helped confirm your excitement about making Connecticut home. We’re honored to have been a small part of that experience and would love to welcome you back anytime for another getaway. 😊🏡🌿

This is a comfy, rustic cabin. It was so much better than staying in a hotel, as we cooked our meals, washed laundry, had more privacy with two bedrooms and saved a lot by chosing this. There was plenty of room for my son and his friend to visit us.

Cozy and relaxing

The cabin is super cozy and we felt right at home. This is just what we needed for some r&r that wasn’t too far from where we live. The cabin is located on a secluded street and the neighbors were super friendly. The lake was less than 5 minutes away by walking. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the docks. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great Little Family Weekend Getaway

All though the cabin wasn’t exactly how the pictures on the website looked, we did have a great time and I did recommend to several of my colleagues and we figured it must’ve looked like that when they first purchased it , because now a lot of things need updating/repairing ,but overall such a charming cozy cabin

Cute & clean getaway

The lake house is super cute! Just enough space to spread out and take a break from our tiny Brooklyn apartment, but not too huge as to feel overwhelming. Very comfortable and cozy! The outdoor spaces are very lovely as well.

Lovely R&R

Such a great host, good communication throughout, perfect little lake cottage with lots of privacy in a quiet, quaint community. Close to the lake and pretty central for venturing out to explore CT. The personal touches puts this host over the top...coffee, toiletries, fenced in area for pets, kayaks on the property with life vests...even towels and a beach blanket! Loved our little home away from home...you will, too!

Two days and three nights of rain.

We are an elderly couple in our eighties and appreciated the extra touches. Clean and comfortable. The cabin is old but done over nicely. It is small and since it rained the entire time we watched a lot of tv which offers a lot of options. Good food locally.
