Welcome! Our mountain retreat offers the perfect combination of beautiful scenery and comfortable amenities. We are conveniently located near historic Mentone, Alabama making our home an ideal destination for a quiet romantic getaway or a vacation packed with fun outdoor activities for an entire family. Hawk's Nest Hideaway is always CLEAN and FRESH to assure your stay is most enjoyable. Enjoy the secluded acres, the clear running creek. Take a soak in the hot tub while waiting for the charcoal grill to heat up. A fire ring. Blueberry plants that produce fruit in July. Plenty of natural flowering plants and trees including dogwood, mountain laurel and rhododendron.

Enjoy beautiful natural hiking trails and breathtaking waterfalls. The scenic drives are a must-do especially for motorcycle enthusiasts. Your days can be filled with canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, antique shopping or golfing. The newly opened Little River Canyon Field School is a an exciting addition to this area. Stop in to see how they run off the grid and totally 'Green'

Any time of year, any season, Lookout Mountain is always beautiful and the views enchanting.
Spring offers popping green growth, wildflowers, roaring waterfalls. Summer, a cool swimming hole waiting around every bend and a picnic spot most times in perfect seclusion. Fall has of course wonderful colors of reds and gold with the winds swaying the trees. Winter offers the best of hiking, the crunch of leaves under your feet, the undisturbed view through the woods so you can see the massive rock formations and often times snow.

We are a PET FREE ZONE. Violation will result in eviction without refund.
Price quoted is for 4 guest. Home sleeps 4 comfortably. 6 is the maximum number allowed. There is a $15.00 charge per person per day for additional over 4.

Excellent house/excellent host. Michele was very helpful and responsive. This house was one of my favorite properties of all the ones we’ve stayed in. It’s immaculate but comfy and homey at the same time. The house is very well furnished; we cooked out numerous times and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We loved the fire pit and creek area as well. Evenings in the hot tub were wonderful! Very convenient to see Chattanooga (Ruby Falls/Rock City). We also loved Mentone; there are lots of great places to eat (Hatter Cafe/Wildflower Cafe) and great shopping. Thanks, Michele-this was a terrific vacation and we loved your house so much.

We have traveled to Lookout Mountain for many years and decided we wanted a vacation home in this unspoiled area. It is so convenient to many other destinations and we often have intentions of using Hawk's Nest Hideaway as the headquarter for further adventures, but we end up falling in love with what the area has to offer in views and outings so we stay and never venture any further than a days drive away. Any time of year, any season we have never been disappointed.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This area is unique in that there is a little known fact that Little River Canyon is the deepest river canyon besides the Grand Canyon the USA and the river flows entirely on the top of the mountain. This area is so pristine, clean, uncluttered and unique. You will truly fall in love and want to return many many times. I welcome you and your family to my home.
