Beautiful location! It was beautifully landscaped and the house was very welcoming. Lots of room to move around and be comfortable. It is difficult for older adults and children to maneuver on the outside areas.

Thank you for that nice review especially related to the landscaping. My wife takes all the credit for that. We are not exactly sure what you mean by the “difficult for older adults and children to maneuver on the outside areas”. The yard slops very gradually down from the house to the waters edge. If you had been more specific, we would have been happy to address your concerns. Still, we are happy you all had a fun and relaxing stay.

A beautiful home, beautiful grounds, nice place to just sit back, relax, and watch the boats go by. There is also plenty to see and do; wineries, breweries, distilleries, creameries abound; museums, historical sites, the Montezuma National Wildlife preserve in the area, and the city of Rochester is less than an hour away. We completely enjoyed our stay here. And, Mike is the best host we have ever worked with.

Thank you for that nice compliment. We found that vacationing in new surroundings comes with lots of questions, from where is the best place to eat to where is the light switch in the bathroom. The views & grounds are beautiful, peaceful & relaxing. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked, a cooks kitchen. Plenty of space to spread out as 3 couples, although aside from the dining room hard to all be in the same room but we figured it out. The location is fantastic, close to lots of adventures & hiking. The beds were comfortable & we appreciated the supply of towels. The neighbors are friendly but not invasive & the opportunity to kayak & bike was an added bonus. Mike & Paula were extremely communicative & accessible even offering ideas for things to do. We highly recommend the beautiful house, just be prepared to not want to leave this slice of heaven.

You are fantastic guests and thank you for that detailed and wonderful review. We do offer our guests a number of things to do, two kayaks with life jackets, his and her mountain bikes, water toys, fishing equipment for two, indoor and outdoor games plus a lot more. But still, it is the peacefulness and relaxing atmosphere we love the most, as do all of our other guests, as well. Our neighbors are respectful of our guest’s time knowing you are on vacation. So, again, thank you and you are welcome back any time.

If you want a relaxing vacation house, tucked between 2 lakes with an abundance of wineries, this is the house for you. Each morning we woke up to canoeing on the canal and fishing off the dock. The afternoons consisted of hiking and touring wineries. Each night, our 2 families, came back to the house where we could sit outside in the many different seating areas and relaxed. The house was super spacious for 2 families to not be on top of each other, and also spend quality time together. We will definitely return!!!!

Thank you, Tara, for that wonderful review. Many of our guests over the years have said that they become recharged by being able to relax. The house, the gardens, the canal, the wildlife all add to the secluded peacefulness of the area. We as well look forward to our time there.

This property was magnificent. Great location: close to both Cayuga and Seneca. Clean, inviting, spacious for all 8 of us with room to spare. At no time did we feel cramped as each bedroom gave distance, and outside there were four areas depending on time of activity, day and temperature. Nothing was overlooked by our host. Everything you would like to have was there.Highly recommend this property!

We rented this house to celebrate my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary and it was absolutely beautiful. Paula and Mike are accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we had. We travel with Vrbo often and this is one of the most well stocked houses we have stayed at. The landscaping is beautiful and the dock is perfect for a larger boat. There are so many things included in the stay (fishing poles, kayaks, indoor and outdoor games etc) Something for everyone! A very nice outdoor seating area along with ample patio furniture on the deck and Adirondack chairs around a fire pit by the water. Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience. Thank you Paula and Mike!

The house is, and the yard, are right on the water and is very well situated for anyone wanting to bring their own boat or rent one at a local Marina, that I have an arrangement with, to provide our guests with a discount off the price of a boat rental. 4th of July vacation

What a beautiful property and the house is spotless. Owners are ver meticulous! One of the best places we ever stayed and would definitely come again!

Extended family getaway

Very clean and well maintained property and true to the description and photos. We very much enjoyed our stay. We had a small mishap with with the master bedroom AC and the owner was very responsive to address the issue so all was well in the end.

We do apologize for the circuit breaker popping that is related to the air conditioner in the master bedroom. The excessive heat wave in the region and any additional plugs in that circuit, the electrician told us, contributed to the circuit continuing popping. Since your stay we have replaced the AC Unit, and upgraded the circuit panel. Thank you and your family for your patience with this matter and again, our apologies. Mike

Finger Lake stay

Lots to do at the house and in the area. Swam, rented pontoon boat, hiked, biked, visited vineyards.

Great location and outdoor space

The house and garden area have great indoor and outdoor gathering spaces for families and friends along with beautiful landscaping and views of the canal. We enjoyed our stay and the location is perfect for sightseeing in the fingerlakes area. Mike is easy to communicate with and we enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful time! The home was welcoming and the owner’s attention to detail was outstanding. They really thought of everything. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were so comfortable. Perfect Getaway

From start to finish, this property is well appointed, beautifully situated, and very inviting. Comfortable beds and crisp linens, ample room for a large group, outdoor settings a plenty surrounded by stunning gardens. Close to a variety of attractions but cozy enough you might just stay put.

Quiet, peaceful, great location

This property was exactly as described. It's directly on the canal so we were happy the home came equipped with kayaks. The house was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved waking up to the sound of birds and watching the ducks float by. We would highly recommend this property!
