One of kind log cabin tucked away in an evergreen forest in the rockies on a 20+ acre property bordered by 1000s of acres of national forests (aka big backyard).

Tucked away into a secluded forest but with easy access to popular areas. 15 minutes to Buena Vista, 25 minutes to Mt. Princeton (hot springs), 35 minutes to Salida, and less than an hour from Breckenridge. Also has 100mb/s high-speed internet.

There are 2 bedrooms and a loft bedroom connected to the living room which also has a bunk bed.

*Based on feedback a water softener has newly been installed

This cabin was absolutely incredible for a weekend getaway for two of us. The privacy is unbelievable! The cabin is inviting, spacious, and warm. The hot tub was very clean and great to soak in under the stars at night. The host has gone out of their way to make this a wonderful getaway with lots of little touches inside. Loved it and we will book it again in the future.

We had a excellent experience while staying here. Location was secluded, peaceful, and had amazing views all around. The house was not far away from town and it was easy to get supplies or shop for gifts.Host was very helpful and responsive. He was also proactive and made sure we had everything we needed before we could even ask. He was knowledge of the area which helped us out a lot.

Our family enjoyed this little hidden gem, which had plenty of room for everyone to sprawl out and enjoy themselves after a long day at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs.The trail leading away from the cabin offers breathtaking views, with solar lights providing easy navigation back to the cabin if you're out at night.

WHAT A VIEW!! This property is so peaceful and beautiful. It is secluded but yet there are a couple of places within 10-15 min. The kitchen had pots, pans, cookie sheet, muffin tin, electric skillet and a beautiful gas range/stove. The owner was easy to reach for questions and we will definitely be back again!!

This cabin delivered in every way and was such an awesome place to use as our base of operations in Colorado! It's just a short trip into BV and Salida but really makes you feel like you're secluded in the woods which is what we were hoping. It's really a property that has to be seen to believe. From the hot tub, to the bench for watching the sunset, to the awesome covered porch, it was even better than advertised. Zac was quick to respond to our questions and made us feel very welcome.

Peaceful Stay

Family of five who loves Colorado, staying off the beaten path, where we can bring our dogs. This place was perfect for that. Close enough to town allowing easy travel for all adventures Colorado, yet far enough out to feel away. Zach responded to all correspondence in a timely manner. Would happily stay here again if in the area.Couple pieces of advice for future renters: bring a pickleball net, the rv storage pad is perfect for the game. Bring a few outdoor chairs for the porch or sit out by the pickleball court.

A-MAZING PROPERTY

This property is SO beautiful and well kept. We had two families (9 total) and it accommodated all of us very well. Zac was very helpful and communicated well. His recs are on point as well. We loved every minute of our stay and would HIGHLY recommend!!

Had a great time

We very much enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be back. The cabin is beautiful, the beds are so comfortable, very clean and cozy. The family and dogs have so much room to roam and relax . There is a lot to do around the area if you want to go on adventures, If you want to just hang out at the cabin there are games and pickle ball, and of course lots of room to just walk around the property. This is our second trip to this wonderful cabin, and both times our experience was excellent. Our host is always attentive and answers quickly. This will be a part of our annual vacation plans. Beautiful cabin in the woods

The cabin was as advertised - It was a very nice cabin in the woods. The house was clean and felt very homey. The owner was always available for questions before and during our stay. The 2 bathrooms were big enough to share, had plenty of towels and bathroom necessities, and the showers had good water pressure. There are 2 nice bedrooms on the main level with a living room, kitchen, and eating area. The kitchen was well stocked. The upstairs 3rd bedroom had a queen bed in a nook and 2 bunkbeds on the other side of the bathroom, so there was plenty of room for family or kids. Also had a nice big couch and tv in the loft area. The only negative is the entrance is easy to miss (especially at night), even when you've been there a couple of times. There should be something to better identify the correct driveway.

Secluded Cabin

It is a beautiful cabin on 20 acres but needs to be maintained better. It needs a good cleaning, very dirty. **The two stairs in the back were dangerous, they rolled all the way over almost fell. Hot tub jets not working on high setting. Shower upstairs was plugged. Dead bugs everywhere. Shower downstairs needs a new valve. Overall the cabin and location was great just needs some TLC to be excellent.

Hartsel cabin

Zac was excellent about communicating with me throughout the stay if I had any questions. The cabin is very nice, the beds comfortable and everything very clean. One recommendation I would make is to have the kitchen better provisioned. There weren't enough glasses, large bowls and other cooking materials to work with. Also, the coffee machine didnt work properly. That's impirtant to my family as we are all coffee drinkers. The surrounding area behind the cabin is beautiful and forested. I was a bit disappointed to find how close it was to highway 24, though. You can hear the noise of yraffic along the highway when you're outside the cabin. Nothing the property owner can do about that, its just an observation. Overall, the stay was very nice and Zac was always very helpful with any questions.

Fantastic setting in a beautiful home!

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful & peaceful property! The host (Zac) was a great communicator. There are 3 queen beds-2 downstairs & one is upstairs in the loft adjacent to the sofas, recliner & TV. There is also a full bathroom, bunk beds & desk upstairs. Another full bathroom is on the main level. There was plenty of seating for our group of 5 adults (plus our dogs). The kitchen had pretty much all the basics, and even spices, oil, etc. The refrigerator is fairly large & there is a dishwasher & gas stove. There was a small Keurig, small coffee pot, toaster, knives (pretty dull), pans, cutting boards, some baking dishes, wine glasses, etc. The host had laundry detergent (though we didn’t use the front loading washer or dryer). Plenty of towels, sheets, paper towels, etc. There was only 1 dish towel for drying dishes. There was a new larger hot tub which we really nice. We also loved the wood burning stove. We really enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to visit again! Highly recommend.

Good Cabin. Great Location.

Wonderful times were had by all at this cabin. My wife and our college aged daughter throughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is nicely located on a large property that borders public land. While located off a busy highway, the adjacent road noise was fortunately less than I expected. The owner was exceptionally quick to respond to questions. We were given excellent recommendations regarding local attractions. The cabin is well appointed with most of the supplies needed upon arrival. It should be noted, however, that there were some limitations. For example, the coffee maker did not work until we descaled the appliance. The dishwasher was also troublesome as it was heavily scaled and barely cleaned the dishes. The kitchen dish sponge and scrub brush were clearly old, soggy, and not hygienic. We purchased our own dish cleaning utensils. The hot tub had a layer of surface scum that was worrisome and therefore not used. The cabin also needs general maintenance and cleaning. We did a quick clean upon arrival. If you are looking for a cabin in a relatively secluded area and are not too concerned with details, this is a wonderful option.

Hello Mark. Thank you for your feedback. The scum mentioned in the hot tub was likely due to the pine pollen that travels through Colorado a few times in late spring. If you had let me know during the stay this occurred I would have been happy to have this taken care of. There are also extra sponges under the sink but I'm sorry about the one that was left out. There are minerals in the water in the area which is great nutritionally and for the skin but sometimes leaves spots on the dishes. I am currently looking at a softener solution. I appreciate your family's stay at the cabin and best wishes to all of you.

Beautiful Cabin and Great Host

This cabin and the property is absolutely beautiful! My family and I had a great time and the dogs loved every second of being able to explore. Zac is one of the best hosts I’ve had. He was communicative, attentive and friendly. He recommended hikes and we could tell he really wanted to make sure we had everything we needed and for us to have a great time while we were there. We definitely plan on booking again. Thank you Zac!
