Our stay was absolutely amazing. It was very easy to locate and was absolutely beautiful. We really appreciated how clean, comfy, and cozy the cabin was. There were plenty of basic items to make our stay comfortable from kitchen basics to bathroom basics. Our kids really enjoyed the play area and spent so much time playing games downstairs after a full day of fun! The wood stove was amazing! Really warmed up the place and hearing the fire cracking was a big plus! Overall, Terry and Ronnie were absolutely amazing, very responsive with any questions, and made our Christmas vacation a 10/10! Thank you both, so much!

The cabin was warm and inviting. My family and I enjoyed being able to spend time together. We watched the mule deer walk through the yard. In spite of the abnormally warm winter it was picturesque.

LOVED our stay! From the beautiful views, great property, and clean cabin, to the wood fires we enjoyed and hot cocoa welcoming gift, we had a blast! My kids especially loved the arcade game machine in the basement, the house was fully stocked with extras, and even our dogs were welcomed! Thank you for letting us enjoy the cabin! Highly recommend to anyone needing a getaway in the mountains!

We had an absolutely amazing time! We had so much space for our family of 5 plus our mother in law. We really enjoyed our time. We had everything we needed just brought food to cook! Our kids absolutely loved the games and play space. The area is beautiful. And we drove to Breck for the day and it was an easy drive!

Absolutely beautiful cabin. I love the rustic log home look and the log furniture. The cabin was extremely clean and plenty of kitchen items to make cooking a breeze. Nice big bath towels. Super comfy beds. Beautiful wrap around deck too. Was happy to see the little chipmunks running around as well as the black squirrels. We don’t have black squirrels in Missouri. Oh and the beautiful bouquet of flowers sitting on the table was such a nice touch. Thank you for letting myself and our family enjoy your beautiful home.

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was perfect,such a beautiful place. Not hard to get to and an easy drive home each night after adventuring all day. The sunsets were very pretty right off the deck and deer every morning. The host Terry was great to work with and if we come this way again we will definitely stay here. Thanks again for a great stay.

Wanderlust Cabin

Peaceful cabin in the woods. Enjoyed spending time in the cabin after riding trails all day. Close to Buena Vista, Salida, and Leadville to dining, shopping, and attractions.

Peaceful Mountain Escape – A Perfect Getaway

We just returned from a wonderful vacation at this beautiful log cabin tucked back in the Colorado woods. The setting was incredibly peaceful and quiet—just what we needed to relax and recharge. The cabin was clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed.One of the special touches we appreciated was the fresh flowers in the front room when we arrived—my wife absolutely loved that. Even better, they allowed us to bring our dogs, which made the trip even more enjoyable. It’s not always easy to find pet-friendly places like this, and we’re so grateful for it.Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, scenic, and pet-friendly getaway in the mountains.

Beautiful and Comfortable!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. All 6 of us (and our dog) was very comfortable. The hosts communicated with us whenever we had questions. We would love to go back again sometime!

Love the Wanderlust Chalet!!

Amazing father son trip! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The Wanderlust Chalet is in a fantastic, remote location, has every amenity you could ask for, is super clean. This place truly gives that cabin/chalet feel inside and out. The owners take amazing care of this place and we appreciated their communication and hospitality. Can’t wait to come back!

Hi guests!!! We're the owners, Terry & Ronnie....THANK YOU for checking out our little log cabin! We take great pride in our little place and are so thankful we get to share it with others. We do all of the cleaning ourselves to make sure everything is just right for your stay. This cabin has been Mr. Terry's labor of love since he retired. The cabin is close to everything but far enough away from the city life. We really enjoy our time here being in nature and the mountain views. Don't forget about the stars! Warm your toes by the wood stove and enjoy the stars from the couch ! The cabin is away from city lights so on a moonless night the stars are everywhere! Spend a little time looking up and hopefully you'll see a shooting star. We've seen lots! It's a great place to cozy up after a day of skiing or hiking, or tackling that 14er, or whatever your wandering takes you.
We know many guests want to bring their 4 legged love ones with them to the cabin. Please reach out to us for any concerns regarding the size of your dog.
