Enjoyed our stay

House was as described and convemient to local restaurants and activities. Our host was easy to get in touch with and very helpful. Entire family enjoyed the stay.

Clean, quiet, modern.

We loved our stay here. It was very clean, and had everything we needed. Check in (and check out) was easy. Neighborhood is quiet and location was close to just about everything.

The home was very comfortable and provided everything we needed for our stay. The location is excellent since we love going to the beach everyday. It is truly close to the supermarkets and restaurants as well.

The house is well-equipped and very clean! We especially enjoyed the game room! The owner was very responsive to my questions and gave good recommendations about the area. Something you should know, though, is that you have to cross a busy roadway (thankfully has a stoplight) to get to the beach. Other than that, the location is good.

Beach Getaway

Nicly appointed, very clean, updated beach house with a great, "front of the house" deck porch with a swing and ample seating. Close to the sound and walkable to the beach. Very responsive host.

Amazing location

Beautiful home on a very quite street. You're within walking distance to The Beach, you have stored and entertainment all within walking distance too. Great front porch to swing on and relax. Fun games for the family. We had a great time and highly recommend staying here. Very clean and spacious.

Nice House

The house is very nice and clean. It is very close to the beach. You can walk or drive. The games at the house were nice as well on the day it rained.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

We loved the open space when you first walk into the house. It was a very comfortable impression. The house was very well set up and the host continued to communicate with me, answering all my many questions. But what I enjoyed the most was our bed. My husband and I stayed in the back bedroom with the queen size bed. It was wonderful!!!! I have a hard time falling a sleep in new places, however the bed was so good, I fell right asleep. I would definitely rent this place again.

Great Vacation Spot

The property is very clean (there were a few dead roaches but… again they were dead). Listing was very accurate and everything we needed was provided. I would definitely drive to the beach because it’s about a mile across the highway and parking near the beach can be a bit challenging especially during the weekend but it’s doable..just may have to search a bit. Kids loved the garage with the ping pong table, and other games. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Bugs on property and refused refund-many communications with hosts and VBRO

Sabrina and Chad, we are finally home from our trip. I am upset at the condition of the rental. We had roach like bugs in the rental 4 of the 5 days/nights. The most disturbing was the one that jumped out of the cabinet when my son opened the spice /salt/pepper/sugar cabinet to the left of the stove. We had been using the salt and pepper!) They exited from behind the stove, under the couch and other areas that we could not find where they were coming in. The doors were never left open. They were under the couches that someone was supposed to sleep on. The kids put down their own clothes and sweatshirts down on the floor by the doors to block the bugs from coming into their rooms. I washed the floors several times to get rid of any egg residue and now we are trying to wash all of the luggage that had to be on the floor as we are not aware of exposure. They were also largely present in the laundry room/game room. You confirmed that they were present and were aware of it and sprayed two days before we came. I have communication that you were aware of it and if large roaches are going to come out after spraying as you said, you should not rent the house for a week after. Also, you said you would reimburse the second last day we were there and the last, and yet I shared I was unable to secure a place to stay for the 1.5 days left. I still asked for the reimbursement as you were aware of the problem and still no resolution from you. I have waited to rate you out of courtesy until

Mary, I am sorry your stay was not as pleasant as every other guest that has rented my home for the last 4 years. I never said I was aware we had roaches. They are not roaches. They are palmetto bugs which are seen all over the island as we are surround by water. I said I get quarterly pest services and it happened to be treated two days before your arrival so sometimes you may see dead bugs after a treatment. I also told you if you wanted to leave I would reimburse you the remainder of your trip but you stayed for the entire time. I don't understand why you would be so concerned but not check for my replies for several hours or even until the next day. I spent several hours cleaning after you left and never saw a single bug alive or dead. Not even in the garage which you claim was not a game room and you had no idea the games were in the garage which is clearly stated in my listing. Multiple times you you sent messages to me about a dirty light switch in the garage and the garage door needing to be cleaned and how you had pictures of it as to threaten me. No pictures of any bugs though. Again, no one before or after your stay has had a single complaint about all these bugs you claim were all over the home. I hope any future visits you make to the island that you have a better experience. I take pride in keeping my home very clean and free of any pests.

The home was just as described and the owners updated us during the process from initial booking to our departure. The owners made sure we had everything you would need for a home away from home. Board games and beach towels came in handy and the location was great. My family did beach days and tubing at kitty hawk. Location was close to shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Highly recommend and would definitely book this home again.

The house was very nice and clean. It has everything you need coffee pot washer and dryer. The outside shower is great to rinse off the kids.

Excellent stay!

We enjoyed staying here. This was our first vacation since our mom passed last September and we definitely needed to get away. It was conveniently located minutes from all the attractions we wanted to see and we will definitely be back.

Long weekend stay

Our stay here at the outer banks was perfect from check in to check out our hosts made sure that we were accommodated the entire time. The cottage was exceptionally clean and had lots of amenities to make sure our stay was comfortable. There were small touches in each room that did not go unnoticed by my family. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here.
