The barn loft is a great place to stay! The property is absolutely beautiful. It's easy to get to and not too far out of town. I would definitely stay again.

Pet friendly home on average

Enjoyed that the property was in a secluded location. The views and scenery were beautiful. Located below gorgeous red cliffs. Home was comfortable and check out was easy.

Fabulous

We both absolutely loved this property, it had everything we needed and was the perfect base for exploring the area. We didn't see any barn kitties or cows but in every other way it was fabulous and really helped in making our vacation the very best.

If you want a unique place to stay in Kanab that is private, beautifly scenic, but not far from town, this is the place for you. It has a full kitchen, dinning area, laundy room, full bath, large bedroom with lots of closet space and balcony deck with grill ready for use. The host was excellent and communicated daily. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Absolutely amazing!

We absolutely enjoyed the barn and our stay! Cleanliness, comfort, view and having everything at the barn that you might need was a true blessing. The washer and dryer are a huge plus. We will definitely look out for the barn again when we return, and definitely recommend. Thank you for making our getaway smooth & comfy, The Rijksen's

Lovely setting

Barn loft was great!!! So nice to be away from people and have a beautiful setting in which to relax, rest, and hike the private canyon. Town was surprisingly limited...Wild Thyme and Houstons had good food...Vermillion 45 was the worst dining experience I have EVER had...absolutely awful. A few gift shops and cafes...that's about it.

Barn Loft Stay

Great location. Close to where we were hiking at Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion National Parks. Excellent communication with rental company. Stairs to loft just as advertised. Clean, quiet. Gas grill worked great. Washer and dryer a big plus as well.

Fabulous isolated property

My husband, 11 year old, and I had the best time staying in the barn loft this fall! The view in the day time was gorgeous and the nighttime stars were breathtaking! We also had the pleasure of running into Gail and getting to know some history behind the property! She told us about the property lines and where on the property we could hike! It was a literal dream for our family!

Lovely quiet spot with outstanding views

The Barn Loft House was in a fabulous location, only a few minutes outside Kanab. It was very spacious, clean, well equipped, very comfy bed and a with wonderful terrace giving us a view of the mesa cliffs in all their pinky orange glory. The sunsets and sunrises and star gazing were all enjoyed from this point. Everything was very easy and we used it as a base to visit Zion, Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon north rim. We also liked Honey’s Supermarket( great choice) and enjoyed food at Kanab Creek Bakery (French style), Wild Thyme Cafe and the excellent (but little pricey) Sego.

Pup Friendly! Gorgeous Views & Amazing Host Response

The loft is just as advertised! The dogs LOVED the loft. The stairs are just as shown. Steep, but manageable. It was an amazing spot and we felt welcome. We were a late-night arrival, and for us it was a brief stopover on the way home to Colorado. Many hosts advertise dog friendly places that aren't, and this one truly is! We always LOVE animal lovers, and clearly this hostess runs cattle, and loves cats (barn cats below)!

Special place with nice views

This was a cute spot with beautiful views from the upper deck. We appreciate being able to travel with our dogs for our hiking trip. They loved quietly spying on the barn kitties and deer from the upper deck after a long day of hiking. You can see and hear the highway which I usually don't like but it also made it closer to the fun activities we had come for. It was still set back quite a ways and must quieter than traffic you hear in a typical hotel. We tried to find the hiking trails behind the house (beautiful scenery!) but didn't really know where they were. This is a good spot and they had a wonderful check in process and communication.

Although this property advertises itself as “dog friendly,” the 42 extremely steep stairs leading to the loft make it anything but. They are a serious safety hazard for dogs, young children, older adults, or anyone carrying luggage. My dog actually slipped and slid backward down 12 of the stairs. Hauling everything needed for a week-long stay up and down those steps felt more like hard labor than a vacation. On our first day, the owner approached us asking, “Are you guys having a party here?” We explained that we had exactly the number of guests listed on our reservation. She then repeatedly warned us about rattlesnakes, especially baby rattlesnakes, and the cactus around the property. While that’s normal for the area, it was mentioned multiple times and felt excessive. Later, we noticed an unknown man around the barn. When the owner confronted us again, she accused us of being inside the barn and leaving the door open. We had never entered it. She even admitted she wasn’t sure who had been there, suggesting it “might have been someone spraying around the property,” yet we were still blamed. The signs on the barn are clearly visible from outside, and we had no reason to enter it. The repeated accusations and the timing of these confrontations made us feel like we were constantly being watched. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt uncomfortable, falsely accused, and treated disrespectfully. We left disappointed and would not recommend staying here.

Op een prachtige plek gelegen Barn. Genoten van de zonsondergangen. Heel fijne ruime en schone ruimte met grote keuken. Mooi terras. Heel fijn verblijf, waar je alleen bent met je eigen gezelschap. Enige minpuntje: routebeschrijving kan scherper. GoogleMaps werkt overigens prima.
