Enjoy the peacefulness of El Cortez on Mustang Island, just three miles south of Port Aransas. This two-bedroom ground-floor condo is nestled within the tropical landscape and offers all of the amenities of home. The open living room is made up of an overstuffed couch with plush pillows, two matching armchairs, a TV, and a sliding glass door to the back patio. The full kitchen is equipped with all the things needed to prepare a meal with Corian countertops, crisp white cabinets and stainless steel appliances, a regular drip coffee maker, dishes, basic pots, pans, and utensils. Sit down for meals at the dining table with seating for four and two additional stools at the breakfast bar. The master bedroom with a blue contrasting brick wall (BR1) contains a King bed, a dresser for your beach attire, a closet, and a TV. The ensuite bathroom holds a vanity and tiled shower. This room also has private access to the side patio. The guest bedroom with a gray contrasting brick wall (BR2) is made up of a Queen bed, dresser, and a closet. The ensuite bathroom consists of a vanity and a tiled shower. Take in the ocean breeze while sitting out on the covered patio with your morning coffee or cold beverage. This complex offers a new golf cart-accessible boardwalk to the beach. After a day of fun at the beach, cool off in the shared pool, or grill up snacks and dinner on the shared grills. El Cortez is just five minutes from Port Aransas offering a variety of restaurants, shops, nightlife, and fishing charters.

Fantastic Stay in a Fantastic Unit

This was one of the best stays I’ve had at a VRBO. The unit was clean, well furnished and stocked and in a great Location. Highly recommend staying here, we will definitely be back.

Perfect Layout!

We stayed with another couple. The condo was the perfect size and layout. Loved that each bedroom had its own private bathroom! We had beach access so using the golf cart was super convenient!

. Weekend Family Get a way

Very nice and cozy condo. Exactly as described. Easy access to beach. A nice more private beach but close enough to drive to numerous restaurants. Iris’s and La Playa are must go tow’s.

Nice spacious condominium

The location of the condo in the complex is very convenient. It is in the first row of condos when entering the complex. Parking was sufficient and the proximity to the beach was great. We would stay here again given the opportunity

When we arrived (after 4pm), unit had not been cleaned. Situation remedied shortly thereafter though.

Great place by the beach

Overall, we had a really great stay. The place was clean and pretty close to the beach. We only had a few minor issues like the towel rack in the bathroom wouldn’t stay on the walls, and the light in one of the bedrooms wouldn’t stay on. We used the pull out couch for a bed, and we were able to find all the extra linens, except for the pillow cases. We called and asked for them, but never received any. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

Average accommodations in a great beach location

Only had a few minor issues with the rental like hair in drawers and bathrooms, a few locks did not work on the interior doors but the maintenance guys gives those the next day, furniture could use an upgrade for the price we paid for the rental as we have stayed in many condos in the Port Aransas area and have never been disappointed thus far. We were a little curious on the design of the living room as it has a ceiling vent that opens directly into the upstairs loft which Carrie’s all the noise from the living room to the loft a little too well. There are Washar and dryer units on the property but we muck rather have them in the unit with us and will probably make that a pre requisite going forward just to help manage the sand and beach clothes/towels better. All appliances worked and had no issues with the Wi-Fi or check in process. We want to buy a property near this location for renting in the future and to stay in when we visit twice a summer.

Big and not cleaned well

The place was cute but definitely wasn’t cleaned well- left over dried animal feces or throw up in front rug- floors had a those little round stickers stuck in the rugs- floor in guest bedroom had sticky stuff and hair around night stands- I ignored all of that but the first night we got there around midnight the kids came in our room stating therewere bugs in their bed. I instantly freaked out, thinking it was bedbugs. However, it was not. It looked like some kind of termite or carpenter Ant I notified the place the next day as there is about 20 to 30 bugs in their bed. They said they were sending a cleaning crew over. It didn’t appear like anything was cleaned that day/that next night there was about 50 or more bugs in the bed-called emergency house cleaning all they could do is change the bedding out the next day they were supposed to send a a pest control guy but they still never cleaned & that next night there was still 50 to 100 bugs in the bed. They continued to crawl on the girls while they slept. I then moved them to the couch and put my uncle in the bedroom and he stated they crawled on him too. We had already taken the bedding outside with all the bugs, but more just kept coming in. They only compensated us for a cleaning fee. I feel like this was unacceptable to sleep with bugs in a bed every night not just a few but 50 or more. I feel like we should’ve been refunded as it was a miserable stay being up all night with bugs crawling over-

Clean & modern condo

The actual condo was very clean & updated. The check in & check out process was very easy. Communication with property was simple. There is construction when you turn in which made it a little challenging at times to navigate the road with all of the contractors vehicles. The pool was small & nice, could use a little more shade & updating (top stair near deeper end was broken) Overall great stay, good value for the price.
