Welcome to OCEAN HOUSE I 1301, a beautifully updated 3-bedroom, 3-bath condo on the Gulf Shores beachfront. Enjoy sliding glass doors from the living area and master bedroom opening to an oversized balcony with breathtaking ocean views. Bedrooms are equipped with new linens, flat-screen TVs, and comfortable bedding. The kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, ready for family meals. Outside, relax in the resort-style zero-entry pool (heated in the winter months!), let the kids play in the kiddie pools, or stroll to the beach using convenient ramps and showers. Charcoal grills and shaded gazebos make outdoor gatherings easy and enjoyable.

Great stay

What a convenient location for families. Great, big pool! Right on the beach. The place was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of room and the turf on the patio was a great touch.

Spring Break with family

We and our three teens had a great time. The condo is nice and roomy, the view from the balconies is awesome, the pool is huge, and you're steps from the beach.

Large condo, beautiful views. Slept 7 easily. The only negative was you had to bring your beach cart in your room. The property management are very strict.

Very nice

Right on the beach. Great balcony. Quiet. Nice pool. Kitchen was very well equipped. Comfortable furniture and beds. I really can’t think of anything we weren’t happy about.

Mom and daughters 2019 trip

Beautiful property. Very easy check in process. Condo had a great layout more than enough room for the 5 of us. Pool is great. One of the drawers was broken in one of the bathrooms and could use a little more storage for food but other than that no problems at all. I liked that the property manger was on site. Arm bands were needed to be on the property and it had security. We will be staying here again.

Family Vacation

The unit was very clean and spacious! The only issues we had was the bottom part of the microwave was warped/melted from being to close to the stove and having to open it just right everytime. The front bedroom stayed a little warmer than the rest of the unit. But other than those two small things we enjoyed our annual trip to Gulf Shores!

Cozy, Comfortable & Convenient Condo

We found this unit to be quite comfortable. Our group, of 6 couples, had plenty of room. The unit was clean and tastefully decorated. We each had our own private bathroom, which is always nice when traveling with friends. The kitchen was spacious, and stocked with cookware, for preparing meals. We had a nice balcony, with enough seating for everyone to sit outside and watch the waves. The view was fantastic. A short drive for groceries and meals. We would definitely come back again.

You can be sure that only thise staying are the ones allowed with the security measures that are in place. Parking could be a little better, but that's my only complaint. Oh, and there were no crab leg crackers in there. Ha ha, I joke, because it truly was a wonderful quiet place.

The only issue, and it’s not really an issue, but the thermostat is set to bump up to a locked temperature every couple of hours. So no matter what temperature you set it to, it bumps up to 72 degrees after a couple of hours. A little annoying, but manageable. Overall, a great unit.

Ocean House 1301 Review - May 2024

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the location and condo building is decent, not too crowded, has a good pool and loved the beach access. However, the condo itself was not in my opinion worth the money that we paid to stay there. The bathrooms need updating, the sinks and tub did not drain well. The fridge does not cool very well. The master bedroom is in the front of the condo which has a balcony but it's a street view. The pictures are deceiving, it's not as nice in person.

Overall, our stay was fine. The property is older, so it is expected that things are likely not going to be in perfect condition. The pool area is decent but definitely needs work to clean it up. There could be a better description of what to expect upon arrival, including clear instruction to stop at the little white building upon entry to make sure you get wristbands and parking passes. Yes there are signs but it would be good to include it in the check in details, too.The condo was decent: no bugs or overtly dirty items. However, there was a smell throughout our stay that seemed to be coming from the sinks, almost like backed up plumbing. The bathroom sink was slow to drain and the kitchen sink had a garbage disposal that smelled absolutely terrible. Aside from the smell, the condo had the main surfaces wiped down upon arrival but not much else was done to clean it. Baseboards were nasty looking (and no, I’m not the type to inspect with a white glove or anything like that), walls had dirt on them, handles to the kitchen pantry and laundry looked absolutely filthy, the closet where the trash can was located in the kitchen looked like it had never been vacuumed or cleaned, and just general lack of any type of deep clean for what appears to be an extended amount of time.Again, not terrible and we still had a nice time but not sure I could recommend this to a friend.
