Beautifully decorated home with screened porch and open deck with mountain views, 2754 square feet with open kitchen/den/dining. Quiet neighborhood 4 miles from downtown. Walking distance to waterfalls. Full kitchen with full size appliances. Beautiful rock wood burning fireplace. Central AC/Heat. Master bathroom has separate hot water heater so no running out of hot water! Covered carport. WIFI and Smart TV.

Deck with Solo stove and wood ready to go in the fire. Big green Egg is ready for grilling outside on the deck while enjoying the beautiful long range mountain views. The house has original artwork and a mid century modern feel. You’ll love the quiet neighborhood that backs up to National Forest. Ranger Falls is a short hike from the house on a well marked trail. Pinky Falls is nearby.

The Oak Steakhouse is also nearby for a great dining and brunch experience. Downtown Highlands is a 4 mile scenic drive. Only our side of street has mountain views

We had the most wonderful Christmas holiday here in the Highlands. Our neighbors, the Powers, stayed here last year and highly recommended this home—and now we completely understand why. The location is perfect, the mountain views are absolutely beautiful, and the house is furnished so beautifully and thoughtfully.We especially loved the handmade ceramic mugs—such a special touch that made our mornings feel extra cozy. The house was a great size and in a great, walkable neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Checkin/checkout were easy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals.

Wonderful relief from the weather around the South!

Our 3 week stay just wasn’t long enough. The house was perfect for us , our dog, and several friends. The views from the screen porch were fantastic. Our host, Jana, has decorated the home with her art work and her husband’s pottery. So inviting to have originals decorating the premises. Only problem we had was getting used to operating the smart TV which was smarter than me, but with Jana’s help, we were finally able to figure it out. Hopefully, we will return next summer.

Tree House in the forest.

This place is wonderful. Jana has done a great job tastefully decorating this cozy yet spacious home. From the upscale furnishings, to the well equipped kitchen, to the hand made custom pottery crafted by the host nothing is missed.Step out to the screened porch and you feel like you are sitting in a treehouse in the middle of the forest listening to the breeze cutting through the leaves and the birds singing. The location is very convenient to downtown Highlands. Just minutes away. We hope to return soon and highly recommend this property.

PERFECT home with AMAZING views in AWESOME location! Just rent it already!!! :)

We had such a wonderful stay! Checkin was a breeze and Jana was easy to communicate with and always prompt to respond to any questions. The house is just perfect. There are 2 master suites (king bed and bathroom in each) perfect for travelling with multiple couples and a 3rd bedroom with 2 twin beds. Everything was very modern and updated which was nice…lots of cool art and pottery throughout and beautiful modern-mountain décor and was stocked with lots of board games, etc. to play. We really enjoyed the amazing views - The living area has huge floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the mountains. There is a really nice screened in porch area and a separate deck just off of it that has a fire pit and grill. We sat on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets each night…and then came inside to cozy up by the fire. (I'm back home now and really missing my spot on that sofa with the fire on one side and the great mountain views on the other!) The location was also perfect - short drive to downtown Highlands and we also did several trails that were within walking distance from the house. We HIGHLY recommend this house and will definitely try to rent it again if we return to the Highlands!

Fantastic Host!

Jana’s house in Highlands was a perfect place for our family, she is also a perfect host as well. She is so kind to any of our wishes and requests, gave us a very flexible choice to check in & out.. Her house is very peaceful to get away on a high mountain spot to relax, and also provided us everything we needed to cook one day… we hope to go back to her house again in summer this time! We highly recommend this spot to anyone who is visiting Highlands. Thank you again Kana

I wanted to stay longer!

My family enjoyed our visit to Highlands immensely. Fall beauty everywhere around us. The three bed/three bath house was perfect for our family of six. We particularly enjoyed the cool mornings on the screened in porch and the daily challenge of starting a fire in the fire pit! When can we come back?

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This lovely home had everything we needed for a month long mountain vacay. The home was located on a nice quiet road with other homes in the Flat Mountain area. We found it to be convenient to both Highlands and Cashiers . The kitchen, dining room and living area are very spacious for entertaining. There are two master suites and a third bedroom with its own bathroom. Our favorite room was the screened in porch with ample seating and a beautiful western mountain view. Our hosts, Jana and Fletcher were very accommodating and available to answer any questions we may have had. The check in process was very smooth and easy. we highly recommend this vacation property.

Gorgeous house

This house has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Highlands. The decor is absolutely beautiful. Very comfortable furniture and bed. A nice neighborhood with paved roads for walking. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely home 15 minutes from downtown Highlands

A very comfortable and lovely home all on one level with a great screened porch and well stocked kitchen made the perfect place for 4 adults and two young children for a week. A nice collection of toddler toys was a special bonus.

Beautiful home in Highlands

This home was the perfect getaway for our family -- we have two young children, and the layout of this house worked out so well for us. (Not to mention, it's decorated beautifully & the views are unmatched!) The host was a great, quick communicator and the home had everything we needed for a wonderful few days away. Location was ~10 min into town (all paved roads), and featured breathtaking views from every room. I highly recommend this rental -- we'd love to return someday soon!

Wonderful family thanksgiving

We took our family to this beautiful home for the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was comfortable, cozy, and well equipped. There are items that most VRBOs don’t have the make it great for a family getaway or a trip with friends. We have young children and they even had toys, games, as well as a pack n play for the guest to use. The beds and furniture were very comfortable which was great for lazy days. With a short drive to Main St, it was easy to go back and forth from the house to town. You couldn’t ask for a better host. On top of being responsive, they were beyond accommodating to all of our needs. We will be returning down the road to enjoy their beautiful home. Thank you for making it a Thanksgiving we won’t forget.

Great House in Highlands

We had a great time in Highlands. The house was perfect. Cold weekend, a bit rainy, and yet the porch, indoor huge fireplace, living room area, large kitchen, served us very well. Very nice view, quite neighborhood, great hiking. Communication with the owner was some of the best we have ever had with vrbo properties. Thank you and we hope to be back.

You’ll enjoy the long range mountain views while on the deck or screened porch. We usually have the windows and doors open in the summer to enjoy the perfect temperatures in Highlands. But we have heat/AC if you’d rather!
