Overall everything was okay. A little more attention to detail could have been made to cleaning. We found some trash under the beds and behind furniture that were not ours (used mascara tube, dental floss pick, and a wrapper to something).There was also some issues with the bathroom doors upstairs not locking and the downstairs bathroom not latching.It was a lot of small things. Not all of the outlets were functioning and then some other cosmetic things as well throughout the houseThere also appeared to be mold in the primary bedroom closet.

The house itself was fine. Nothing spectacular, somewhat adequate. Nothing impressive. Unfortunately, the owners’ behavior completely ruined the experience.Throughout our stay, the owners REMOTELY accessed the thermostat and changed the temperature we had set inside the house. At one point had been set at 75. But the absolute kicker was our LAST NIGHT, when the air conditioning was shut off altogether. Multiple calls and texts to the owner from myself and VRBO yielded nothing. We paid to rent the entire home and reasonably expected to have control over basic amenities—especially AIR CONDITIONING AT THE BEACH. If owners are going to remotely monitor and override the thermostat whenever they feel like it, that needs to be clearly disclosed BEFORE someone pays to stay there.I would give the HOUSE an average rating The ownership and management? ZERO STARS.

Ericka, The thermostat is set on a schedule, NOT controlled by the owner. The AC died at 10pm at night!! If you weren't checking out the very next morning we would of course had a technician there straight away in the morning. Please do not ever stay with us again. To future guests: We do not control the thermostat, The AC is completely fixed, do not allow this totally unreasonable guest to stop you from booking our place.

Great Stay

We had a great time at this place. It was a little walk to the beach but not too bad. We also carried bikes and we could be at the beach in 2 minutes. House was great with no issues, everything worked out great.

Cool Place to Be

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to the beach and close to many stores. It was the perfect size. Neighbors were very friendly. Only thing I didn't like was the Jack n Jill bathroom doors. Only 1 actually locked, but we didnt let that deter us. Overall, i would recommend staying here! Great lil gem

Thunder beach

We had a great time on our trip. This house is far enough away from the traffic but close enough for a good short ride to all the attractions and bars. House could use a few updates to outside as far as paint and TV in living room needs replaced. But it's a short walk to the beach and in a great neighborhood. Would def stay here again.

Good

This rental was just okay compared to other VRBOs we have rented in the past. We enjoyed the upstairs deck for sunsets and it had everything we needed… barely. There are literally 3 forks ( one very bent) and 3 spoons in the kitchen. The toaster was broken and the right hand side laundry room door was off its track when we arrived. The cold water in the powder room does not work/ must be shut off. Several door knobs are loose and floorvents are very rusted. Nothing was a big deal - just a handful of small items - overall it was fairly clean and comfortable. For the same price point we have rented places with beach gear and towels, very well appointed kitchens with stocked coffee stations etc so it did not compare well… however per the listing it was accurate.

You get what you pay for

Mold on shower curtain, small broken things(handles/holder), only 4 forks, bed linens and pillows not even similar, sofa bed only had sheets and no pillows, stove handle completely gone and zero oven mits, rear eye on stove doesn’t work and fridge is not as pictured either. Good location for the price just needs some actual TLC and updated pictures

Serenity By The Sea Nov 2024 Stay

This is a great place to stay, close to the beach, but was not clean. Bathtub had mold that we had to clean before we could use it. All the downstairs light bulbs were burned out which we replaced and we found several roaches crawling around in one of the bedrooms. I communicated some of these things to the host during our stay with no response.

Okay, but not amazing.

Our unit was large and comfortable and as described. The beds where comfortable and the home was well appointed. Our only complaint was that the closet was covered in mold in the master bedroom, all of the extra blankets and pillows where musty and damp and there appeared to be condensation buildup along the door frame and walls. This resulted in my wife's clothing being dampened requiring laundering to ensure mold didn't spread in the humid conditions. Obviously this problem was know prior to our stay as the problem has been there a while judging by the amount of mold on the ceiling and closet walls. Not the end of the world but also not up to standard for a property at this price in, in this location.
