Relaxing Getaway

We had a wonderful stay. It was just a short walk to the beach. Found lots of sea glass. The neighborhood was quiet, the house had everything you could need and most importantly, it just felt cozy. The hosts were very sweet as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Summer Get-Way

Quaint cottage by the bay. Short walking distance to small beach. Home was clean and had everything we needed. It was just my husband and I so plenty of room. We are older so hill down and back up to beach with a full wagon of chairs etc. was pushing limits but close enough to drive down to drop off and pick up. All and all was a relaxing time. We love this area of the bay! Thanks to our great host for providing this vacation for us.

Last minute weekend trip

We had a wonderful stay at this cute yellow house by the bay. It has all the comforts of home. It was perfect for family time. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxed and comfortable

Away from the hustle and bustle of any city but close enough to get anything you need. Our stay was very relaxing and Hyrum and Lisa were the best hosts we have had so far... Will definitely look for them again if we are in the area again...

Family time

My wife and I stayed two nights to visit family. Cottage was as described, very roomy and comfortable. Great location. Host was very kind. Only dislike was smell from oil heat, I've never had oil heat and not sure if that is normal.

Cozy cottage!

This was a great little getaway! The property was very accurate to the listing, and everything was very clean and tidy. We cooked a bit at the house and it had all the pots/pans/utensils we needed. The beach across the street is quite nice, and it's a short drive to Calvert Cliffs State Park. Would definitely recommend this VRBO!

Chesapeake bay stay

Great location great place to stay very quite neighborhood and walking distance to beach and chesapeak bay Shells and fossils found on the beach during low tide The home has everything you would need for a family The WiFi had mare than enough signal for everyone and laptops And last the owners went above and beyond to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything

This adorable little cottage is not so little at all! It is so comfy and full of beautiful sunlight! We really enjoyed our stay! There were only a few small things that could have been improved to make it perfect. The deck is in the process of being repaired and the side railing is low in areas and a step is a little loose . The doors are full glass and could use some blinds to add some privacy. The yard is so pretty with gorgeous mature trees and a lovely yucca plant, it felt really relaxing. We would love to come back and visit again! Hyrum and Lisa were very attentive and available if needed. Great hosts!

"Our quiet time away"

Many thanks to the hosts for our quiet time away. Home is very comfortable, quiet, and steps away to a private beach area where we enjoyed searching for beach treasures every day. We enjoyed sitting on the wrap around deck listening to the sounds of the waves. The hosts were always available if we had any questions. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Great getaway!

My wife and our two dogs really enjoyed the stay at the cozy cottage! Lisa and Hyrum were great host. They provided tons of information and were very helpful throughout our stay. The place was clean and had all the necessities we needed. We ventured out a lot to the beach across the road and found so many fossils. We would definitely comeback!

Great place!

We all loved the house and amenities. The description of the home in Vrbo was accurate. The house is so cute, has lots of room, and the owners supplied some great snacks for us, as well as leaving some chocolates on our beds. They communicated with us regularly to be sure everything was okay and we were enjoying our stay. This home is very near everything we wanted to visit: lighthouses, Calvert Marine Museum, and beaches. There is also a nice beach almost directly across the street that we visited every day. We’ll definitely rent here again when visiting the area.

Enjoyed the beach

There was a short walk from the cottage to the beach. The beach is a little narrow during high tide, but you could still walk along the edge. We enjoyed the privacy of the beach. Most of the time when we were on the beach, we did not see anyone else. We did find several shark's teeth on the beach; which was exciting for the adults and the kids. The cottage had plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the spacious porch/deck.

Host Communications par excellence

We enjoy having three generations of family spread throughout Calvert and St Mary’s counties since our own exodus out of MD so, the central location of this “Cozy Cottage with access to and partially obstructed views of the bay” really made a recent visit convenient. Without a doubt, what we appreciated the most were the proactive communications from and with the hosts. The hosts are responsive in a timely manner and it is apparent they work overtime to avoid issues. (If all hosts tried as hard as these hosts appear to AND everyone treated the houses we rent as well as we do our own homes, well, we’d all be closer to a perfect world!) We plan to stay here again and have already booked a return visit so that confidence should convey more than mere words …

At 1st impression, the driveway is very difficult to navigate. You have to pull straight in then back down onto the road without being able to see if there are cars coming. I had to leave the car to make sure the coast was clear. The landscaping is in dire need of trimming and weeding. The deck is rotting in places. Some of the boards have been replaced. The interior is spacious enough except the master bath. If you have long legs, like my husband, your knees will be against the wall. There were ant traps everywhere that had dead ants around them. There were, however, some large ants that looked like carpenter ants, in the livingroom. Also a large creepy crawler on the ceiling in the kitchen. We did not cook there, so can't speak about the equipment. The beds were comfortable enough. We did bring our parrot with us that was caged the entire stay. The listing did say that pets were allowed. We did not leave so much as a feather or seed, but got a late bill for 60 for a pet. Obviously the owner or caregiver did not respect our privacy while we were not at the house. That is a big no no for us unless there is a complaint from neighbors or others. We did nothing more then sleep and shower there. I would not recommend this property.

Cute cottage

We were traveling for a wedding at a near by venue. Plenty of room for our needs. We enjoyed visiting the small beach across the stress for coffee in the mornings!
