Beautifully renovated and professionally designed four bedroom villa in Santa Barbara! The house is located only two houses from the beach and just a short walk from the Mesa Lane Steps beach access. Take a stroll in acres and acres of lush grounds right in your backyard with the Douglas Nature Preserve, BBQ burgers, chill at the hot tub or play ping pong- there's plenty for everyone. The 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house sleeps up to 9 and comes well equipped for a relaxing beach vacation.

Great access to beach

Great house with plenty of room. Property manager was very responsive when we ran into a couple of towel issues. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Amazing and stress free!

The property manager thought of everything, the house and backyard area was perfect, the jacuzzi was incredible, and the check in and out process was easy. Will deff book this place again!

Great home, beautiful location

The best part about this property was the close walk to the beautiful beach and cliffs, absolutely spectacular views. We had plenty of room for 2 families and everything was in great condition. Short drive to restaurants and downtown.

Girl weekend success

We had a great weekend at the house and enjoyed our time in Santa Barbara! As the reviews say, the kitchen is pretty minimal. The coffee pot needs to be cleaned, could use more towels in kitchen and bathrooms, and there was trash outside/leaves all over the patio. All in all would stay here again!

Great location

We had a girls weekend at the property and it was lovely. The house was perfect size and nobody had complaints about the beds. Very cute house. We didn't use the hot tub but it looked clean when we opened it. The house was a just a minute walk to the cliff trails overlooking the ocean.

Great location in proximity to downtown and UCSB. Adequate parking, hot tub nice, good table to sit around in kitchen. Air conditioning great to have. Family room comfortable with large tv. Beds comfortable with enough linens and towels. Kitchen below average-falling apart in many ways. Cabinets don’t close, faucet broken, No water filter in refrigerator, overall function of kitchen not great. Kitchen definitely needs some TLC. Curb appeal below average-pretty unkept.

Wow! We are always leary about VRBO properties, but not this one! All photos told us what we were getting and they are true! Comfortable living areas, comfortable beds, clean and easy process. Great location and Diana worked with us wonderfully as we celebrated 2 birthdays. Thanks for a wonderful family adventure!

Fantastic property!

The house was absolutely wonderful. The beds were comfortable and there was ample space for our group. The ping pong table was a hit as well as the hot tub. Check in and checkout were very simple and the host was easy to connect with. Last but not least, the nature reserve area behind the house was beautiful for a walk to view the ocean and natural wooded area. There was a very short drive to the nearest market and only slight bit further to the downtown areas. I highly recommend staying at this property!

The home is lovely and it’s in a great location (those walking trails!)! The things that mattered to us and definitely met expectations: all beds and bedrooms were modern, comfortable, and definitely as pictured. Bathrooms were modern and totally functional. The kitchen was modern (ish) and functional although small. Ping pong table and hot tub were hits! Garage made unpacking so much easier. Washer/dryer worked great. Everything was clean. Things that had a very low impact on our stay, but might matter to others: There were some ants (it was super rainy though and that can drive them inside). Kitchen could use a few more glasses, plates. Measuring cups, a colander, zip lock bags, foil, and a few more bowl size options would have been nice. A few more homey touches would also be nice, i.e. throw rugs and blankets and more hangers. Bedroom closets are doorless and cupboard doors and primary bathroom door that closed flush would have been nice for the price. That’s the small stuff though. The overall bedroom count (4 is great for our family!) and modern feel plus responsive communication and cleanliness combined with the prime location, ping pong table, and hot tub is a great find.

Deferred maintenance

Location of house great.. First impression upon arrival.. landscaping overgrown, spider webs everywhere, outdoor furniture dirty and pads torn, patio lightbulbs burned out, unable to enjoy outdoor dining table or chairs.. faucet in 2nd bathroom in one sink not working, Leaves and debris hanging from roof everywhere around property.

Unique location for active family getaway

Even with the hurricane, my family was cozy, safe and enjoyed everything about our stay. Loved the location in the neighborhood, where we walked the nature park and down the stairs to the beach every morning, then just a 10min drive in to downtown. Great living space for our multi-couple family with young kids. We each had our own comfortable bedroom, enjoyed the spacious family room and sitting area in the backyard (especially the hot tub). We even had a chef-catered dinner one night in the spacious kitchen and were thankful for the extra chairs available to fit all 8 of us at the dining table. We travelled from a variety of places to be together and this comfortable stay made it that much sweeter. Appreciated the active communication from our host to make our trip smooth and enjoyable.

Almost there

We enjoyed our stay here overall! The home was comfortable and clean, but there were a few things that could use some work. There are no window coverings in the living room and the window that faces directly onto the street. The twin beds seem like they might be broken with a large hump in the middle of the mattress. Lastly, the kitchen could use more cooking equipment. But it’s a great location, comfortable, and we had a wonderful time

Rose Mar review

Check in was easy, however the advertised three car garage would only fit one car due to the "junk" strewn thoughout. One bedroom had no lamp, entry hall lamp did not work, missing light bulbs from other lamps. NO FRYING PAN - HAD TO BUY ONE FOR BREAKFAST ON THE FIRST MORNING. Poorly equipped kitchen - glassware and appliances were not great. Only one TV for a house that fits 10 people. Backyard was too dirty to use. Will never stay here again! We have stayed in VRBO homes throughout the country and this does not live up to the standards (or the price) for VRBO. VRBO should be checking on properties.

Worst VRBO ever!!!!!!

There were no kitchen cleaning supplies to work with. No foil or plastic wrap or baggies which we have always had in our 7 other stays. We had to hunt for toilet paper and towels, and we had a small supply of wash cloths. I called the owner but got no reply back. There is an ant problem in the kitchen and bathrooms. No curtains on the door(which was all glass) and front window. The house is on a well traveled street with people walking to the beach and pathways. I would never recommend this place and for sure would never stay there. I think it is outrageous the amount we had to pay for basically sleeping accomodations!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cleanliness issue - ants & spiders

This is a beautiful place in a great community & great location. The beach and walking trail are walking distance from the house, and local grocery and stores are less than 2 miles away. However, we did have a big cleanliness issue with this house. At the time of arrival, we found many spiders in living room, kitchen, and bed rooms. We had to get bug spray to get rid of it. Then we found so many ants throughout the rooms (kitchen cabinets, living room, kitchen, bedrooms). while we were sleeping we found ants crawling on our bed, and in our bath towels. we didn’t have any food near us, and the rooms were all kept cleaning. The bugs situation really made our stay uneasy.

Perfect Santa Barbara get away

Amazing location! Was hard to leave at the end of our trip. Endless trails and ocean views. Worked out very well for a small family birthday celebration.
