Peaceful Paradise

We enjoyed our stay here so very much! It is beautifully and peacefully decorated, roomy, comfortable, well-stocked, quiet... and that VIEW!!! We'd gladly stay here again!

Quiet, relaxing just perfect for us

Clean, quiet, on the beach, the only down part was the elevators, some were not working, so there were lines an waits at them

Great place to stay

Great place to stay. Not a lot to do other than the beach and eat but thats what we wanted! The Room and balcony were beyond expectations. The advice I have is to do walmart grocery delivery as it is very hard to maneuver in traffic in the evenings. We will stay again at this room. Once we figured out the elevator situation it made it easier. Hooefully they are all working when we go back. The karaoke was a blast too.

Property was great. Did not use washer due to strong sulphur smell. Door code did not work, garage code did not work - took about 30 min to get in condo upon arrival. Parking pass was not in condo - mgmt co stated would be delivered Sunday morning but never was. Had to write on a piece of paper and place in windshield. Last two nights, we were stalked by a drone hovering at each floor and shining bright lights on our deck. There was no one at the main desk or security guard that we could talk to. Mgmt co just stated they would pass the info along. The property was very nice but not sure I'd be comfortable booking through Southern Rentals.

Thank you for your feedback. We here at Southern strive to make every guest's stay as pleasant as possible. I do see that you reported the door code issue to our 24/7 Guest Services Team. We have local Property Managers ready to assist with any concerns that are brought to our attention. We do ask that you report all issues to us while you are in house so we can address them right away. Our operations team has looked into the washer, and it has been cleaned and working as it should. The parking passes are in your unit at check in time, however we do see that the property manager was able to drop these off. We have scheduled a walk-through of this property with our team to do a thorough inspection of the property and furniture conditions to have any items addressed with the owner. I hope you could provide us the opportunity to regain your patronage with Southern Vacation Rentals. We look forward to hosting you again in the future here on the Gulf Coast. Beach condo

This condo was spacious and clean. The kitchen has all the utensils and appliances needed to cook. The balcony offers an awesome view of the beach. The only cons would be the pillows in condo were extremely flat and uncomfortable- so I would recommend bringing your own pillow. Also the condo is on a busier road and the road noise at night can be bothersome. I would recommend bringing a white noise machine or ear plugs. The beach is just steps away from the condo, once on the 1st floor. The pool on beach side was closed while we stayed but there is a pool across the road that was open. There is also a bar, small food and ice cream on 3rd floor. There is a Starbucks and gift shop on 1st floor. This condo is located on 10th floor, beachside. I would stay here again.

Surprised condo is on a Wyndam property

I have stayed at this specific Wyndam property for the last 4 years & have not had any issues until this one. The check-in was at 4pm & if you wanted an earlier check-in you had to pay an additional fee. The room seemed nice, but the couch was broken. There was wood shoved in the bottom, clearly showing it had been repaired some time before we arrived. The fans in the bathroom had dust hanging off of them, which should never be an issue such a ridiculously high cleaning fee. We reported these issues the next morning with pictures & the bathroom fans were immediately addressed. The couch, however, was not & provided an extremely uncomfortable stay. A contractor came to look at the couch at 3pm the day before we left the next morning, agreed that a new couch was needed, put more wood & screws in it and left. My husband needed to use the washer during our stay. When he opened it & used it, the condo smelled like mold for the rest of our stay as well as his clothes. We didn't report it to the property manager because we couldn't get the couch issue resolved so why bother? Spending so much money for such a bad experience made no sense to me, so I asked for 60% of our money back. They offered us 7% which I took & have apparently reviewed me as a guest which has never happened before & seems retaliatory since we now have an issue that wasn't properly resolved. We have been renting from them since 2022, so understand that this could be you if you rent a condo from them.

I do see that you called in to report the couch and the bathroom fans being dusty to our 24/7 Guest Services Team. We sincerely apologize for the cleanliness issues; this is not our Southern standard and we would not want our guests to think so. Our records indicate that the fans were addressed right away by our operations team. We have local Property Managers ready to assist with any concerns that are brought to our attention. Regarding the couch, we do sincerely apologize this could not be repaired during your stay. Due to your reported issues, the Owner is replacing the couch to ensure this causes no future issues. Upon further review, we do see that you were compensated for these issues and while we know it does not make up for it, we do hope that you will consider coming back to see us. I hope you can provide us the opportunity to regain your patronage with Southern Vacation Rentals. We look forward to hosting you again in the future here on the Gulf Coast.
