We went with our young kids and had a great time! It was great the kids room had plenty of toys. Location was nice, close to the shops at Point Reyes Station but far enough to be very peaceful.

Three of us stayed at Tide View for over a week in January to work on our art. The view is incredible! Mist and the tides rise and fall, there are many birds on the bay and in the surrounding trees. The living area is spacious and cozy, and was plenty for three adults. The location makes it very easy to get to the shops and the trails. Great communication with Donald as well. I hope to stay here again!

What a find! Our host was responsive and welcoming from the start. The property is lovely, with comfortable living spaces and bedrooms and the incredibly well stocked kitchen. The view of the lagoon is outstanding and the property has easy access to our the area has to offer.

We had a wonderful stay as a group of 3 couples! The location was amazing--beautiful views, tucked away from neighbors, and only a few minutes into Point Reyes Station. It was very easy to communicate with Douglas. In particular, we appreciated the kitchen that was well-stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, serving ware, and basics like salt/pepper/oil/vinegar. Would absolutely stay again!

This is a lovely home in a wonderful location. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The views are outstanding. We'd love to visit again.

Comfortable, beautiful, secluded, convenient

Highly recommend this rental. It's just off Sir Francis Drake near Inverness, so it's super convenient to Point Reyes, but because of the hilly, wooded surroundings you'd barely know you had neighbors. The house is artfully decorated and the kitchen is very well stocked. Very responsive property management too. Thanks for a great stay.

Great Point Reyes getaway

Wonderful home perfect for 3 couples. Quiet with a great view of the Bay. Well located. Kitchen and home are well appointed with all we needed to make us feel at home. Will return.

Relaxing, quiet, comfy place.

We were greeted by the host who showed us in. The place was clean, quiet, cute with a duraflame log in the fire which we lit the first evening. We went on a beautiful walk from the house through the hills. It was super close to drive to lots of restaurants. I’d highly recommend this place!

Serene, Comfortable Point Reyes Base

Three of us stayed in the upstairs portion of the house and enjoyed its comfort and serenity along with close access to both sections of Point Reyes National Seashore. Beds comfortable, kitchen stocked, primary bathroom heater, ample space, beautiful views and natural light, and enough interesting books and puzzles to keep the less active entertained. Owner had thorough communication in advance and during. Highly recommend.

Total Comfort and Beauty

Wonderful stay in a comfortable and spacious house. The house is in a beautiful setting. It is nestled in the woods. We saw deer on the property on a couple of occasions. Located near hiking trails, quaint towns, and enjoyable restaurants. I highly recommend this property for people who want to take in nature or just relax.

Wonderful views, family friendly property

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. The property was clean and the kitchen well equipped. We were pleasantly surprised there was a lovely piano and all took turns playing it. Douglas, the trustee, was very communicative. It had rained a few days before our arrival and he kindly informed me beforehand of things to look out for. If we ever return to the area, I would definitely consider staying here again!

The locatoon is close to many hikes, Point Reyes station and Point Reyes national seashore. Saw deer, otters, coyote, elk, and many birds. The property is clean , secluded and quiet. The owner is responsive and accomodating.

Lovely!

Our stay was perfect! The property is just as described and portrayed in the pictures. We had plenty of room, inside and out. And the view of the marshes of Tomales Bay along with the abundant birdsong was so enjoyable. The trips out and about to Pt Reyes National Seashore, Pt Reyes, and the Marin Cheese Company were easy driving. Loved it!

Sweet Stay

3 couples stayed at the house while we were celebrating a friend's birthday in Point Reyes Station. The house is decorated beautifully with great art, comfortable furniture, good books and music collection. The kitchen was a dream to cook in....very well appointed with everything we needed to make cooking easy. It's beautiful view might be the best feature. We really enjoyed watching the birds out on the bay. Our visit was very peaceful and pleasant and the owner was great to deal with. We would definitely stay here again.

Almost perfect

Great layout, beautiful view, well-equipped kitchen and home furnishings. Owner/manager extremely helpful. Only complaint is that second bedroom on main floor didn’t have a very comfortable mattress and pillows. Otherwise perfect

Impromptu trip with horses.

This was a last minute trip in the beautiful fall weather to ride our horses on the Point Reyes trails. We boarded our horses at Five Brooks Stables and stayed in this lovely home near Inverness. The home was very convenient to Inverness, Point Reyes Station and Olema. There was plenty of parking for multiple trucks. The views from the house were of the top end of Tomales Bay and beautiful. The home was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The owner was very pleasant to communicate with. We will certainly return in the future!!!

Exceded expectations

I usually do not like to rent other people's homes for short stays. They can have too many personal items or are not clean enough. This home exceded my hopes and expectations in cleanliness, view, kitchen set up, ease of use and enjoyment. Douglas is an excellent host and communicator. Can't wait to go back!

Warm Lovely Home with Great Views

We were 3 couples and a 6 year old. It was the perfect setup with 4 bedrooms (loved the kid's room full of toys, books and games). The house had very lovely artwork and a very comfortable living room. PLUS a very nice Yamaha piano! Loved the views. The kitchen was well-equiped and had some staples: plenty of spices, oil, vinegar, flour, etc. As three couples, it was nice to each have our own bedroom with bath. The downstairs is a nice suite, but you do need to go down an outside staircase with no cover to get there from the main house. Not a problem, but a little trickier in the rain, going back and forth. Overall, a great place!!! We hope to stay there again.

Beautiful, private, comfortable home

4 birders stayed in this lovely home for 3 days over our teacher-daughter's spring break, along with her roomie, also a teacher. The house was expensive for us, but we were driving from Seattle to Pt Reyes and wanted a 3-night break from motels both ways. This property did not disappoint. Comfortable, private, and with a view of an estuary, we truly enjoyed this home. Centrally located for various spots on Pt Reyes, and close to a fabulous, small store-deli at Inverness Park, we were able to eat breakfast and dinner at "home," with great lunch-sandwiches from the store. We would definitely recommend this home to family groups. Our "shortest" member was able to sleep in the child's room in a small bed, though she did not use the toys! This room would be great for a child or grandchild, though. We loved the house!
