Welcome to the world of azure blue waters, tropical warm weather gently ocean breezes and the island sun of the Florida Keys. The Florida Keys is one of the most sought after destinations for anyone wanting to get-away from the mainland and relax or go fishing. Once you arrive you’ll feel a laid-back “Island Time” atmosphere where time seems to stand still and everyone feels more relaxed.

This property is located in a highly desired community only minutes away from the grocery stores, drug stores and liquor stores and two walking blocks to Sombrero Beach. Publix is 2.5 miles away and will deliver. Great seafood restaurants and Tiki bars are close. But our close proximity to the most sought after beach is what makes people want to book this house. Sombrero Beach!

For fisherman, we have an ice machine, fish cutting table and deep water boat dock!

Our family friendly accommodations keep many families coming back year after year since we specialize in providing amenities no other vacation rental offers. Such as Baby equipment and items parents want to bring with them while on vacation. Especially, parents with babies and toddlers; which need more equipment, like cribs, playpens, special dishes, sippy cups and diaper pails. Nightlights, step-stools, car seats, strollers, high-chairs, bibs etc… And of course beach toys, pool toys, beach chairs, umbrella, books, developmental toys and games. Word of mouth keeps us growing thanks to the families with children who have stayed at our Family Friendly vacation rentals. That is why we’re buying our third vacation rental home here in the Florida Keys.

• Spacious accommodations with over 5,500 sq. ft. luxury living and a 90’dock for your boating pleasure in vacation paradise. This 6 bedroom, 5 baths home is just a few steps away from the most famous of the best beaches in the Florida Keys – Sombrero Beach.

• Scenic deep water canal with private extra long boat dock. Saltwater swimming pool and hot tub with huge outdoor commercial kitchen and a spacious patio and comfortable chaise lounge chairs throughout with hammocks. Great place to kickback and soak up some sun!

• Our other property on Sombrero Beach Road is rated 5 Stars, in VRBO, thus we feel you will inherit the same quality and more from our newest property acquisition. We have plenty of off-street parking as the property sits on 2/3 of an acre ---so bring your boat/trailer and enjoy to sun and surf of the keys.

1st. Floor:

• Recreational room with Regulation Pool Table, comfortable sitting area and large bar with sink, refrigerator and microwave.

•Here is the bedroom layout:
1. First floor: 1 master bedroom with king size bed with ensuite bath and walk in closet
2. First floor: 1 bedroom with king size bed (with crib) the crib stays in this bedroom can't be moved. bed and bathroom
3. First floor: 1 bedroom with king size bed and shared bathroom
4. First floor: 4 beds - 2 bunkbeds - top beds (twin size) bottom beds (full size)
5. Second floor: 1 master bedroom king size bed with ensuite bath and walk in closet (with crib)
the crib stays in this bedroom can't be moved. bed and bathroom
6. Second floor: 1 bedroom with king size bed and shared bathroom
We have two extra roll-way beds (twins).

2nd Floor:

• Main Living room with a large well appointed kitchen overlooking the bar with stools. Large formal dining room and separate card table.

• 2 dining room tables and chairs and outdoor dining tables

• 50” flat screen TV. Overstuffed comfortable living room furniture.

Poker table with 6 chairs

• All levels have wrap around decks with seating and dining outdoors.

• On the first floor we also added a foosball table and an air hockey table.

• Everyone that has come so far says it’s great and packed with tons of things to do that they don’t want to leave.

• We also have beach volleyball net

• We just installed an outdoor kitchen (commercial) Chef’s dream.

For future guests, we like to clarify that while our home does not have a direct ocean view, it is located within walking distance to Sombrero Beach, which many of our guests love for its convenience. Being able to walk to the beach also means no parking fees or hassle, which is a big plus in this area. We’re always happy to assist our guests anytime during their stay and pride ourselves on being responsive and available whenever needed. Great house for a large family vacation!

Would highly recommend this home to any large family. We have 5 children some with spouses and grandchildren on our vacation and it was the perfect fit! Plenty of room for everyone and lots of privacy. The pool and pool table were the biggest hits! We did most of our cooking on the outside commercial griddle. We also loved having 3 refrigerators. Hope to come back next year!

Large Group

Great property for large group. All the things you would want for a large group. The owner was fantastic and had great information and exceeded all of our expectations. Just a note of caution is sometimes in July there can be a lot of mosquitos and seaweed in the keys. This has nothing to do with property or owner just something we did not know.

There is so much wrong with this I do not know where to begin.the description of the property has not been updated in a very long time.1. The pool spa does not work.2 the pool is to cold to swim in.3. The brand new out door kitchen was not brand new ,it was dirty grease trap was full dripped onto ground4 there is a garage on the premise which I was not aware of that had 3 people living them that were always around and their trucks were parked in the driveway 5 grill on the second deck was filthy.6. All the closets filled with junk nowhere to hang clothes7 draws all over house fill\ed with junk8 in upstairs kitchen some draws filled with pot and pan lids other draws filled with dirty pots and pans. No sets of either.9 Outside furniture was well used some to the point where you would not want to sit in them.10 There was a boat dock not in good shape.11 Lots of clutter all around the property. When walking downstairs from second floor you could see a pile of junk on the bottom floor. Not something I would want to see in an expensive rental.12 about those people living over the garage,one of them accused us of doing something to a package of his,come to find out he wasn’t even supposed to be living there.13 owners were around too much .I think they use the place tom store stuff they get at flea markets and garage sales.14 I can’t believe the reviews of some of the people who rented here .Whaty were they seeing ?

We were very surprised to read this review, as none of these concerns were ever communicated to us during the guest’s two-week stay. My husband and I both spoke with Mr. Kovacs in person while he was staying at the property, and at that time he told us he was enjoying the home and having a great time. We also spoke with another member of the group, and no concerns were mentioned. If any of the issues described in this review had been brought to our attention, we would have addressed them immediately. We live approximately 10 minutes away and make it very clear to all guests that they can contact us through VRBO, by phone, or by text if anything needs attention. Unfortunately, no messages, calls, or written concerns were ever received during the stay. For clarity for future guests: • The pool heater and hot tub were operational, and the systems were working properly for the guests who stayed immediately afterward. • Our cleaning team would have been happy to return immediately if anything had been missed. • The property description and amenities are accurately represented in the listing. • We are always available to assist guests during their stay and encourage guests to contact us right away if they need anything. Great spot for a group vacation!

Three families stayed at this home for a week for spring break and it was perfect! The house has everything you need and is a short walk to the beach. The pool area is great and we spent lots of time there -- the Tiki Hut was perfect! We also enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and the dock was great for the kids to walk out on -- we even saw a manatee. Great house - We'd love to come back!

Wonderful Vacation

Captain Bob and Liz or amazing host! From the checkin process to request we had, they were always very responsive and kind. The property is in a perfect location with the beach just a few blocks away. Our family had a wonderful time and will be back to book another vacation at one of Captain Bob’s properties soon.

This property was an excellent choice for our family. Definitely family friendly as we needed cribs and highchairs for the littles. Great dock for fishing off of. Loved being able to walk to the park and beach area. House was spacious enough for everyone to be together yet have privacy also. Would definitely rent again.

Beautiful house & great communication with hosts

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this property. There was plenty of space for 9 of us, open floor plans and king beds. The pool area was absolutely amazing! We had a couple small issues, but the property owners were absolutely phenomenal with timely communication and resolution of everything. They stayed above the garage on the property and were so quick to address any of our needs. We would highly recommend this property and any rentals with Liz and Captain Bob!

Family rental for fishing and anniversary

This property is amazing for families wanting to vacation together ❤️ Our family consisted of a grandmother (83 years young) to a grandson of 7 years old. Our family celebrated 2 anniversaries and a guys fishing trip. Very, very special. Liz and Bob were exceedingly helpful in making our family vacation one to remember forever ❤️. If you are lucky enough to rent this property, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed at all.

Great Location/Amenities/House

The house was great. We had age ranges from 13 to 80. Good for the whole family. It was very short walk (5 Minutes) to Sombrero Beach. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook a great meal. The communication was great. Highly recommend. Great communication with the owners. Thanks for a great time!

The Best Rental ever.

This house had everything you could have wanted. The owners obviously take great pride in this property and do everything they can to make you feel at home. Captain Bob even helped us make pizzas in the pizza oven. Liz, the manager, was as helpful as can be whenever we had a question. I. cannot rave enough about this property and would go back there in a heartbeat.

Shark house review

The house was clean and the beds very comfortable! Loved the layout and the house was just so inviting with its colorful walls inside and out.It was so convenient each bedroom having its own bathroom. The space was very big that we were able to spread out and not be all crowded together. It was so nice having all the baby equipment available as we had our 8 month old grand. It also helped having three refrigerators to accommodate 11 people. We spent a lot of time in the pool. It was nice having a dock and being able to walk to the rented boat. We played air hockey, foose ball, and pool. We even put together 3 1000 piece puzzles that were at the house. We had a very enjoyable family vacation. Liz and Captain Bob were the best hosts! We had a couple of small issues that they immediately attended to. Liz had sent information beforehand on things to bring and places to see as well as places to eat which was so helpful! Enjoyed our trip immensely!

Perfect Family Getaway

This property could not have been more perfect. We had a group of 14 ranging from newborns to grandparents and the house had absolutely everything you could ever need for a family vacation to the Florida Keys. Indoor and outdoor cooking, indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces, great dock and pool with a very private yard, ample parking and trailer space, close proximity to the beach.... We come to the keys a few times a year and this is the first time we felt like we could do everything from one place. The house itself is MASSIVE which was very beneficial for our group. You can have several different environments without disturbing anyone else. Most nights, we found ourselves putting the kids to be upstairs while the grandparents watched TV and the siblings could be downstairs listing to music and playing pool. Not once did we feel crowded. We particularly took advantage of the outdoor kitchen. There is a huge cooktop and stovetop which made it very easy to prepare hot foods for large meals while we prepared cold foods upstairs in the huge kitchen. Huge dock - we had zero troubles with our 35ft center console. Note for the fisherman - there is also an ice machine! We will definitely be back the next time we have a big group!
