Perfect stay! Host is phenomenal. Very responsive and generous. Cabin is just what we needed for a long weekend bringing in a 50th birthday. Played ping pong, watched movies and enjoyed the front porch when it rained. Solid 5 star rating and will definitely be coming back in the winter!

Monarch is a lovely home that is close to everything and amazingly kid friendly! The kids really enjoyed playing in the garage and playground, video games, and making sā€™mores in the fire pit! Adults enjoyed how spacious the house is, rocking on the porch, and hanging out around the fire. We had a great time!

The Monarch

We have 3 kids of our own and this house was the ultimate play and hang out house! From the amazing space themed 'bunk room' for them, the game room garage and the play house out front, not to mention how close the house is to everything we wanted to do - fishing, kayaking, hiking, exploring local businesses and coffee shops - we had a great time staying here! The house is well maintained, clean and welcoming and well worth checking out for your next trip up to pine-lakeside :)

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was everything it was listed to be. The owner was responsive and more than generous with everything that we needed. No one wanted to leave! Clean, comfy beds, great game room, outside playground, game room...it was wonderful. We will be back! Thank you to our host!

Annual family vacation

We have 6 children and 8 grandchildren house had enough room so we didnā€™t seem crowded out. Sitting out at night seemed like you were alone in the woods and not in the middle of town which is great. Will be planning to stay here again for sure.

Family get a way

Our stay was excellent. The house was spotless. The service was incredible. I highly recommend staying at the Monarch. We will definitely go back. It was especially exciting for us because my daughter got engaged while we were there. So the whole family was surrounding her.

Great Escape

A great escape from the heat of the Arizona summer, and a great location nicely hidden away from the world. Its location in peaceful surroundings is very easy to get to,and with a wide choice of restaurants just a short drive away is ideal. The the game room is a great faclity to have for rainy afternoons, and snowy days.

Family vacation

Property is an awesome vacation rental for families. They do have a kennel available for pets. It was, however full of urine, and there is definitely urine all over the carpets.

Wonderful 10 out of 10

This house was perfect for our trip. The kids LOVED the game room. The hosts were very fast to respond when contacted. The beds were comfortable, and the house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, it was in a quiet area, with lots of space and a great house for a lot of people. Takes about 35-40 minutes to drive up to Sunrise for skiing. We will definitely stay here again when we make another trip to Pinetop/Lakeside.

Paradise in the trees

The home was comfortable, clean, attractive, and filled with amenities. The owners were amazing. They were friendly and catered to our every need. The house is situated in an oasis of beautiful pines. We went on lots of walks. The cabins were far apart and the neighbors were very friendly. We loved our stay and would definitely rent here again. The weather was cool and beautiful. It felt like paradise compared to the heat of the valley.

So great!!!!!

From start to finish it was an easy process! Owners communicated with me about instructions before I asked and communication was great! We have a family with 8 kids and this home accommodated us so well! The game room was a hit and occupied everyone! The beds were sooo amazing and comfortable, even my kids were commenting and weā€™ve since bought the same bedding! The location is perfect and easy access to everything! We were able to bring our dogs too and that made it even better!!! We will be going back! Five stars for sure!

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods

There was so much space in this huge Cabin! There were seven of us with plenty of extra room. Lots of games to play. Game Room in the garage was a big hit with everyone! Huge sofa in front of the TV for everyone to sit and enjoy a movie at night, Netflix and Hulu are provided. Large kitchen with everything you need to cook. We really enjoyed the privacy of the neighborhood, especially the deer running through all day! Smores around the campfire at night were the grandkid's favorite. Will definitely come back!! Kelly responded to my questions right away and was extremely helpful.

Family trip

We arrived Thursday afternoon excited for a fun filled family trip. The owner had sent us an email that we could check in a few hours earlier but unfortunately by the time we finished packing and headed out it wasn't much earlier than we had hoped. The place was easy to find and we loved it. The kids loved the bunk bed room with the tent and the game room in the garage. There was lots of space even in the front yard which we used go play a game of baseball and even had a cornhole tournament. We went hiking and took the kids to the White Mountain Family Park to play minituare golf and ride the go karts. The weather was nice and we made smores by the fire pit two of the nights there. We all loved it and had lots of fun. We plan to make this a family cabin tradition...only problem if you ask the kids is that there was no snow and we had to come back to the city!

Monarch 4th of July getaway

Our family getaway to the Monarch cabin was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning surroundings and the cozy charm of the cabin. The cabin was definitely a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin itself was impeccably clean and beautifully furnished, with all the amenities we could possibly need. The spacious living area was perfect for family gatherings, and the fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare delicious meals. We especially loved the games in the garage and the outside fire pit with seating where our whole family could relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air. One of the highlights of our stay was the variety of activities available. We enjoyed having lakes near by, taking a trip to Hawley Lake, Sunrise, Greer and even spotting some local wildlife. In the evenings, we gathered around the fire pit for s'mores and family time, creating unforgettable memories. The owners were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their attention to detail and thoughtful touches made us feel right at home. Overall, our stay at the Monarch cabin was an unforgettable experience. It was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a family-friendly getaway in a beautiful, tranquil setting!

Fun for everyone

This property is located in a quiet little neighborhood right in the heart of town. You feel like you are in the middle of the forest but you are minutes away from the store, restaurants, and shops. (You can hear some road noise outside and see cars and there are houses around you - I mention this only because the picture makes it look a little more remote). The house is filled with things to do for all ages but ideal for older kids or teens who would love the game room in the garage. The majority of beds are in the large bunk room upstairs - but there is no common bathroom up there. The master is tucked away toward the back end of the house downstairs making it nice and quiet and it does have a bunk bed in it for younger kids to sleep with you. There is another bedroom and connected bath upstairs. The third bedroom is right off the kitchen making it tricky if anyone is trying to sleep in there while you want to do anything in the kitchen or living area. The house is spacious and good for multiple families or friends as long as kids are old enough to sleep upstairs alone and don't mind no bathroom close by. The owner was very responsive and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful and was big enough for 13 of us. It was very comfortable and had all kinds of fun things for the kids and adults to do.
