Upstairs, three bedrooms, each adorned with queen beds, and two full baths provide comfort and luxury. Downstairs, a cozy bedroom with a queen bed and a spacious room featuring 3 bunk beds offer sleeping arrangements for up to 8. The ceiling fan remote was broken. The state of the home was very run down. The house smelled moldy and old. There were plug ins riddled with dead bugs. There were cowers everywhere. We loved the beach view but other than that I wish I would have saved so much more money by renting elsewhere

We booked this stay for a family reunion of 13, expecting the home to match the listing. Instead, we arrived to a poorly maintained, dirty property. The exterior had garbage, peeling paint, cobwebs, and obvious neglect. Inside, the house smelled musty and moldy. The kitchen was filthy, with greasy counters, dirty dishes, appliances, and a coffee maker that all required cleaning before use. Furniture was stained, damaged, and unstable, with water stains on walls and cobwebs throughout. Multiple safety and maintenance issues included loose bunk beds, a towel rack that fell off after being "repaired," a toilet that barely flushed, a broken porch window taped together, uneven deck boards with exposed nails, a mostly unusable grill, and ineffective air conditioning. The worst issue occurred overnight when sewage backed up into the basement, flooding the hallway and bathroom. Family members had to leave their bedrooms due to the odor and standing sewage. Management told us to shut off the toilet and clean it ourselves until maintenance arrived. They repeatedly promised a property manager would inspect the issues, but after we waited all day, one arrived only to drop off towels, take a photo, and leave without addressing our concerns. The listing photos were AI enhanced, showing different furnishings and more seating than actually existed. The unsanitary conditions, safety hazards, sewage backup, misleading listing, and poor management, we had to leave early. AVOID BOOKING HERE.

The beach view was beautiful, but unfortunately the condition of the property did not match the premium price we paid. Upon arrival, the home was noticeably dirty, and our grandson cut his foot on glass left in the three-season porch after what appeared to be a broken window repair. The property also had a strong cigarette odor despite being advertised as smoke-free, the basement bedroom air conditioning was not working, and the grill was unusable due to its condition.Most concerning were the safety issues, including broken glass and multiple warped and rotting deck boards that presented clear trip hazards. This property has tremendous potential, but in its current state it is significantly overpriced for the experience provided.Given the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns we encountered, I would appreciate a response from the owner and consideration of a partial refund.

We were so excited to go up to Traverse City for my niece's wedding several weekends ago.The pictures were beautiful, but pulling up to the property was extremely disappointing and deflating. The front entrance had not been cleaned up in months and the front deck was filthy. Paint was peeling off and paint chips were all over. The inside was clean except for the stove: it was so dirty that we elected to not even cook. There is no central air, but there is one air conditioning unit in the main room, so the bedrooms were hot at night. I just think these are things that the renter needed to be upfront about. Thankfully, it wasn't extremely warm when we were there, but I can't imagine future renters being misled and then sleeping in those bedrooms in the summer. I have many pictures of the outside that I will attach here. The back of the house is very unkept. My grandchildren came to visit, but we did not allow them to go out there because of all the paint chips, glass beer bottles, beer cans, cigarette butts, and other litter. The furniture had so many dead bugs and was extremely dirty. It was disappointing that we could not even go out and enjoy the water and the views at night. We had to go out to other places to look at that. It was presented on the VRBO website as beautiful inside and out, but that is not what we experienced.

Let’s talk about are summer vacation! Are daughter is in the army! Leaves for a year last time to spend with her before she goes! Rented this place for thirteen thousand for 5 nights! What a dump ! The coffee maker was broke! And let’s talk about the deck ! Falling apart ! Big lawsuit once someone falls through! My granddaughter fell over a board that was sticking up! Also the window in the screen porch was not secure came out of the hinges right over my husband head ! So if anyone thinks of renting I would think twice! Ask for a discount but didnt respond! So very sad!!!

We've stayed in several homes in Traverse City and this is the best so far. We value cleanliness, comfort, customer service, and the amenities that make it a stress-free pleasure to stay in a VRBO home. This checked all of those boxes. But the extras made it special: The remarkable architecture, the gas fireplace, the view of the bay, the complementary local hard apple cider, and having someone plow and shovel before we woke up each day.

We had such a wonderful stay! The location and home were absolutely beautiful—spacious, clean, and perfect for our family. The beds were so comfortable, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The hosts thought of everything, from having two types of coffee makers to beach toys and even an extra pack and play and high chair for the little ones. Every detail was carefully considered, which made our stay so easy and enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful trip to Traverse City, but we were disappointed with the house we stayed at. We didn't feel that, over all, the house was clean. The common areas, specifically the kitchen and living room were not well cleaned. The furniture was soiled, which made those parts of the house uninviting. The state of the grill, and lack of anything to clean it with, left us without a grill to use. The basement felt damp, and smelled of mildew. However, all the beds were clean and very comfortable. The bathrooms were also clean. With more care, this would be a great place to stay.

Great House for a Group

We stayed here for a long weekend with a large group. The bunk room in the basement fit a lot of people! The house was very comfortable and there was a ton of parking. The views were stunning, we just wish we would have had warmer weather to enjoy it

Location and rooms perfect for our multi-generation group. Problems: too few forks, 3 of 4 trash bins completely full upon arrival, too few dishwasher pods, chairs in dining room need felt on the bottom (super noisy in the lower level when being moved), front storm door very squeaky/bangy especially when people are sleeping. Otherwise - great! Thank you!

Outstanding and unique

This is an outstanding and unique house and a lovely location, perfect for the 10 adults in our family from three states who vacationed there. The description of the house is correct and complete. We enjoyed it all: the upper and lower decks facing the beach, the porch, the open kitchen/dining area and the a/c. The bunk room has three double/single bunk beds plus a sofa bed. The house feels secluded down a long tree lined driveway. On the road, a few steps from the driveway, is a stop for the free bus to town. The hosts were especially responsive both before and during our stay. We highly recommend this listing.

Great beach house for family fun

Great location right on the water and short distance to downtown Traverse City. Property has lots of space and beds for family gatherings like ours. Property management was responsive to our few requests and questions upon arrival.

Great family house

Lovely house and beautiful beach! Appreciated the use of kayaks and sand toys! Very responsive to our questions. Traverse City was wonderful!

One-of-a kind stay in Traverse City!

We had 7 adults and 4 kids under the age of 7 and the house was very accommodating. There were more amenities than we expected (beach toys, beach umbrella and greatly appreciated enough coffee for the week! Some guests felt it was too hot especially in bedrooms at night and wished they had the option of opening windows (no screens). Private beach is priceless! The entire house had nice modern cottage feel but the basement with all the bunk beds was certainly a highlight. More walkable area than we expected. Overall a wonderful experience.

Amazing!

My friends and I had a wonderful time at this property! It is so nice to have beachfront access and all of the rooms and spaces in the house were super appealing and clean and enjoyable! A great place to bring your friends or family as there is lots of space to spread out and lots of sleeping areas. We had so much fun and really enjoyed all of the amenities! It is on a busy street, but it is tucked away down the driveway, so it is perfect! Five stars!

Perfect vacation getaway!

This location is unmatched! Right on the water, beautiful sunsets, and a short drive to downtown! Would highly recommend!
