Thank you, Karen. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay! We are located on the state route that runs through the mountain, so we do get a good bit of traffic. When renovating the cottage, we heavily insulated the interior and installed brand new, well-insulated windows to minimize the noise. Most of our guests say they don't notice any traffic noise when indoors. I realize most of your group chose to get the "camping experience", so the traffic noise would be more noticeable when sleeping in tents. We definitely get the good and the bad with our location. The traffic can be noisy at times, but we are fortunate to be located in the heart of it all, by being on the state route. Thanks for choosing Middle Mountain Cottage. Hope you can return some day!
