. Old listing was 279453. Nestled in the rolling hills of Carmel Valley and hidden between famous vineyards, we invite you to enjoy our very private, rustic, relaxing country home. The home is perched HIGH on 20 acres of Oak trees and Lupine filled meadows overlooking the Cachagua Valley.

Perfect for a family on holiday, weekend getaways, or as a romantic retreat. Use our cottage as a place to recharge or as a home base for exploring local Vineyards, Big Sur, Carmel-By-The-Sea, Monterey or Pebble Beach.

Experienced at staying in vacation rentals both the manager and the owner wish to make this a most enjoyable experience for our guests. We aim to attract the vacation guests that are low impact and leave no footprint. Perfect for both family and couples who enjoy a serene experience in a secluded beautiful environment.

Our grandkids absolutely loved the pool and hot tub, while the adults enjoyed all of the decks for relaxation. Looking over the backside of the valley was wonderful, and our dogs enjoyed the freedom of all the land!!

Beautiful location! Was our second time staying here. Has great fenced yard for my two dogs. They loved exploring the yard looking for squirrels. We saw a lot of wild life from the yard/ house (deer, turkeys, fox and bobcat). They also have corn hole and bocce in the yard. Highly recommend booking this house.

Tranquility

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful property. It was very well appointed—especially for cooking. The natural surroundings were very peaceful with hiking trails right out the side gate. We did not realize the travel time to Carmel-by-the-Sea, but it was still doable. And for our five adults and family dog, it was the perfect size.

This place is stunning and even the images don’t do this place the Justice it deserves. Mary was an amazing host and very communicative, especially during a challenging weather situation. Highly recommended for those looking for a property to relax, rest and reset!

This property is so relaxing Loved our stay there. Yes the road to get there is windy but not too bad at all, we went into town almost daily. Very pet friendly too! We would return in a minute Thanks Steven for being so helpful!

Stunning views

Stayed here with friends for a long relaxing weekend. The property has beautiful views which can’t be beat, and enough comfortable space to keep you happy and entertained. While the road up is long and windy, once you’re there you won’t want to leave, so come prepared. This was our second time staying at this property and I would happily stay here again!

Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable, and private

Our family just loved staying here! It felt like the cross between a Tahoe cabin and Sonoma vineyard. The home is incredibly well stocked; If you arrive with ample groceries, you'll really have no reason to ever leave. The hot tub, with its mountain views, is just lovely. And the house's interior is gorgeous, with many rooms paneled entirely with wood.

Great Carmel Valley Retreat

We love our family get-aways to this secluded pool paradise. There is a separate two bedroom apartment with its own bathroom that the kids claim as their own. The hot tub is perfect for watching the the shadows fall across the valley in the evening. We highly recommend this house!

Awesome property

This is one of our very favorite vacation spots ever. The location is very private, and the view is spectacular. We loved just walking around the expansive property. The house is thoughtfully furnished, inside and out. The floor plan is a bit eccentric, but that just adds to the charm. We are already checking our calendars to schedule a return visit.

The property is nice and comfortable. We enjoyed pool and hot tub. The carpet is stained could use cleaning. The road driving up is very curvy and a little scary at times. Overall, we were satisfied.

Amazing views

Stayed here for our 10 year anniversary with our 2 dogs. The outdoor space was absolutely amazing. The dogs enjoyed exploring the yard every day. Yard is fenced so the dogs had the freedom to roam around and still be near by. Saw lots of birds, squirrels and deer from the property. Weather was great for sun bathing and swimming. Would stay here again and would recommend for anyone traveling with dogs.

Lovely spot for our family gathering!

This house is really quite beautiful, tastefully decorated and so comfortable. We had 7 people and all felt at home. The kitchen was well supplied so we could just hang out and cook and even had all we needed to do some baking. Can’t beat the hot tub and deck under the starry skies and the view of the tree covered hills beyond. Mary was very responsive with any questions we had. Highly recommended!

Great escape!

This is an amazing property up in the mountains of Carmel Valley. It was a great escape and exactly what my family needed. I didn’t realize at the time when I booked this property that there is Carmel Village, Carmel Valley and Carmel By The Sea. I was thinking all 3 places were Carmel By The Sea. This property was about 45 minutes from the beach. Farther than I wanted it to be, but it all worked out. Will definitely look to stay there again in the future!

This property offers the opportunity to disconnect from the outside world and get back to what's important in life. Enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the property. Enjoy the tranquility of where you have selected to vacation. The remote location along with the amenities of the swimming pool and the hot tub help you get to that relaxed level of living we all so badly require. Forget about the slow internet and the spotty cell service. It still allows you enough to stay connected if you must. The TV still streams, and cell service is fine in certain locations. The ground line is always available for those that need it. Carmel Valley Village is 20 minutes away and has world class restaurants, unique boutiques, wine tasing and a local market featuring organic meats and vegetables. The hiking is stupendous and is all at your fingertips and the Monterey Peninsula, Big Sur and Pebble Beach are all perfect for day trips. Carmel-By-The-Sea is loaded with trendy boutiques, fine dining and a dog friendly beach. Stock up before you settle in and never leave the property.
