Light & Open Family Beach House Short Walk to Kelly Beach

The house is light and open with summer amenities including window unit air conditioning, washer/dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator with icemaker and water dispenser, a second refrigerator in basement, flat screen TV, cable/wireless internet, ceiling fans, outside deck, outdoor shower, private yard, BBQ grill, fire pit, and driveway parking for three cars.

Narragansett is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in New England. Within walking distance is Kelly Beach, home of the Bonnet Shores Beach Club. This family friendly beach is great for collecting shells, building sandcastles and playing in the gentle waves. Also, walking distance to Little Beach with views of Jamestown and Newport Bridges.

Down the road is Narragansett Town Beach (The Pier), great for avid surfers and boogie boarders. The town has many attractions such as the Towers, The Coast Guard House and 'the wall', Narragansett's famed seawall.

Dining: Narragansett is home to many iconic restaurants. Twin Willows is the closest at about a mile away. Not fancy but great pub food. Coast Guard house is fancy and amazing with views of the bay. George's of Galilee is a family favorite with views of the water and the Block Island Ferry. Aunt Carrie's is a seafood establishment which has been in business for over 90 years. Monahan's Clam Shack may have the best Lobster Roll (offered both hot and cold). Matunuck Oyster Bar is a more recent but excellent, upscale addition.

Ice Cream: Brickley's - You very well may go there every evening :)

Nearby: No trip to RI is complete without at least one day trip to Newport. Home of the mansions, Fort Adams and countless festivals, Newport is a tourists paradise with something for everyone. In nearby Charlestown, RI there is the 'Fantastic Umbrella Factory' a quirky outdoor shopping experience complete with cafe, and petting zoo....definitely something not seen every day!! Watch Hill in Westerly is another great day trip. Home to the country's oldest carousel and some of the most breathtaking homes in RI, it is a day trip everyone will love.

Great rental!

We had such a wonderful time during our stay at 2 Bayberry! The house was so clean and had everything we needed and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had! The best part was the short walk to Kelly Beach! We will definitely be renting here again!

Bonnet Shores is Awesome

The beach is unmatched, better than the Town Beach in nearby Narragansett. The Point is unique, an unparalleled view of Beavertail Light, with unforgettable sunsets.

Quiet beach vacation

Great stay!

We had a wonderful week renting this property. The house was extremely clean- one of the cleanest we’ve stayed at in Bonnet Shores, making us feel comfortable, especially considering the current health climate. The owner was great to deal with and very responsive, and we loved the location and proximity to the beach. We definitely hope to stay again next year!

We have been coming to the Bonnet Shores area of Narragansett for years. This is our first time at 2 Bayberry and we loved it! Very comfortable place! The kitchen was so well equipped, the AC was appreciated on a few hotter days but all the ceiling fans generally kept the place cool. The outdoor shower is wonderful and we enjoyed the back deck and private backyard. Proximity to the beach was awesome. The only suggestion we would have, and it’s a completely personal preferences, is a TV in the bedroom. We would definitely rent again

Lovely home

We always rent in RI every summer, and this is one of my favorite houses. Nicely appointed and very clean. The neighborhood and access to the beach couldn’t have been better!

Perfect vacation!

Our family had a lovely time staying here. The house was very clean and comfortable and the beach is easy walking/biking distance. our family has been coming to bonnet for years every summer and this is one of the best homes we’ve stayed in. Ted, the owner, could not have been nicer and he was very responsive. We will definitely be coming again!

Clean and organized

Definitely a place i would stay again. Everything from the house to the grill was clean. Nice short walk to the beach. Even a 4 year old had no issue with the walk to the beach.

We had a wonderful week at 2 Bayberry. The house was well equipped, comfortable, and cozy with plenty of room for us to spread out. We had everything we needed and enjoyed books, puzzles, watching great Wimbledon tennis, and playing air hockey. Meals on the deck surrounded by birds, flowers, and sea air were glorious. The grill was great. The beach was only a quick walk away. And a great outdoor shower to end the day. Ted is a responsive and more than accommodating host and we loved our stay. Many thanks to him and his family. We would definitely go back again.

Perfect home for summer beach vacation

2 Bayberry is a wonderful, bright, clean home in the beautiful Bonnet Shores community with a short, easy walk or bike ride to pristine Kelly Beach. Our family was very comfortable for the week having 3 well size bedrooms a large open kitchen and common area with plenty of space for all. Ted was a very responsive and accommodating host which was greatly appreciated. Would love to return next summer.

2 Bayberry

We had a great time at 2 Bayberry! The house was open, clean and check in was easy. The driveway was longer than I thought and was able to fit 4 cars which was nice when friends came to visit. My kids and I love Kelly beach, the walk was an easy .5 miles. Thank you Ted and Kerri!

We had an amazing week at 2 Bayberry! The owner made check in and check out easy. The home was cozy and clean. My children had such a fun time swimming, boogie boarding, collecting shells, and building sandcastles. This is our third time visiting Bonnet Shores and Kelly beach and my children have developed such wonderful memories here. We love the neighborhood and how quiet is. This year we also tried the rail explorers and narrow river kayaks which were amazing. We appreciated all of the restaurant suggestions the owner gave us in the guest book. He answered any questions we had along the way. We will definitely be back for future summers. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We had a fabulous time.

Lovely Bonnet Shores Rental

If you've never been to Bonnet Shores, it is a real gem worth a visit! Our stay at Bayberry was delightful. The home is well-maintained, and kitchen is well-appointed with cooking tools. The beds are comfortable (BYO linens) and bedrooms spacious with window-unit ACs that held their own on the hottest of days. Large outdoor shower is convenient for rinsing off sand. We enjoyed meals both inside and outside on the spacious deck with umbrella for shade. We also enjoyed using the fire pit for smores at night. There is a grill but we did not use it. Washer/dryer in basement with a bonus of a working air hockey table the kids loved. Walking-distance to the beach. We will definitely rent this house again in the future. Plenty of space for our family of 5, and then some!

Great location, basic home

We really enjoyed our week in this cute town. The property is close to the beach and very walkable with even little ones under foot. It's about a ten minute walk. Kelly Beach is a fantastic beach for young families with calm waves and not huge crowds. The home itself is very basic, no frills like headboards or high quality blankets and pillows. Definitely would recommend bringing your own linens. The pillows were stained and the comforters were cheap. The beds were comfortable, it was clean, and the outdoor amenities were enjoyable with the fire pit, deck, and outdoor shower. The kitchen's pans and spatulas in particular are not great quality, and the lighting in the home is very dim. The owner was very responsive to our questions and check-in and check-out instructions were very easy. Some of the basics that we would to have liked to have seen provided were coat hooks on the walls, better quality cooking ware, and better quality bathroom accessories. Overall, it provided what we needed and we enjoyed our time.

Hi Sarah, thank you for your review. We made all the upgrades that you suggested including new headboards, comforters, pillows, cookware, and utensils. This is the lowest rating that we have ever received and I am sorry that we didn't meet your expectations. This year we also included a new grill, new table, chairs, and umbrella on the deck, new fire pit, new bathroom exhaust fan, new microwave, new toaster oven, and new dishwasher. Small but worthy! Don’t overlook!

2 Bayberry provided us with a great June vacation! Location is great - direct, flat ride for bikes/scooters to beach. Three bedrooms provided plenty of space; one bathroom took a little getting used to; it was good quality. We showered outside for the most part! Kitchen is a bit tight. Dine in or out on the deck. Great tv/living area. Small yard/used fire pit. Owners are immediately responsive to any questions or concerns. Bonnet Shores area and Kelly Beach are the ultimate family vacation !

Our family lives in MA and has been coming to Bonnet Shores since 1972. Many, many happy memories growing up on Kelly Beach, building sand castles, playing wiffle ball on the beach and with kids in the neighborhood. Now our kids and their cousins are building memories here :)

Family friendly area with lots of kids riding bikes, short drive to Brickley's Ice Cream. Dinner at Coast Guard House or a day trip to Newport/Jametown are great options.
