Dear Paul. I understand your disappointment about the pool but don’t think that this rating is reasonable - not saying I expect 5 stars. As you mention, the pool was the only issue and you know I reacted immediately. We had our pool service there the next day and he was able to make it work. Unfortunately, the heater didn’t work the next day but I already requested a technician to come out. Our pool service came Wednesday again and tried one more time. Thursday - unfortunately pretty close to the end of your stay - the technician finally inspected the heater and found a temperature sensor being the issue, had no spare part, however. I contacted the Gulfstream support but didn’t get a response till today. Hence, the pool was only heated with the solar heating. Temperatures were unusually low for Florida during this time of the year and even if the heater would have worked, the pool would have cooled down over night. Given that you told me on the phone that I didn’t need to get it fixed and you just wouldn’t use it, your rating is inappropriate. If this was such a big issue, you could have said so and we would have found a solution. I sincerely apologize for this having happened during your stay. The heater worked during the holidays, we would have taken care of it otherwise already. If you can, I’d appreciate you rethinking your rating and considering all the other comfort you enjoyed without any issues.
