The listing is a big lie! Do not book!
This is a shady property management company (or owner?) who posted an inaccurate listing. This was my first experience with VRBO and we had booked this as a gift for my kids. Snow was in the forecast and I did not want to complain and move, so (wrongly) decided to wait until all was fine after check out.
Here are the lies:
NOT a log cabin- it’s a suburban house.
The game room is not useable in the winter- it has a small heater that doesn’t heat the garage effectively enough to be used on a cold day.
There is no seasonal creek. There’s a drainage ditch.
There are no mountain views… except the slightest top of one peak over the neighbors roof…
Speaking of the neighbors… this house is not secluded…. It’s on a small lot next to a MAJOR road that’s VERY loud.
The faucet leaks, the microwave door handle fell off, there’s nails sticking out on the deck, there was trash under the bed at check in, we received contradictory check out instructions 30 minutes before check out time re: what to do with linens, the kitchen supplies were subpar at best (dull knifes, no baking dishes, can opener did not work, etc).
After checkout they said “we’ll give you a 5 star review, we cant wait to have you back!”After I brought this up they then threaten me because they “found” rules I broke which were moving furniture (I put a dining room chair in the bedroom to help with stability getting dressed as I am handicap). This is just wild! I asked for a partial refund and they refused. DO NOT BOOK.
