Lakefront Vacation Home

Nestled on a small island, this home away from home has beautiful lakefront views of Manistee Lake, as well as views of a small river to the side of the home. Perfect for boating, fishing, and watersports during the day, guests can relax at night near the firepit.
Four bedrooms (two on the first floor, two on the second) with two full baths, laundry room, as well as a spacious living room and kitchen allow for a spacious one or two-family getaway. A deck with barbecue grills will allow for great family time while being lakefront all day long.

Yamaha wave runners (three-seaters) are available for an additional fee.

A pontoon boat is available during the length of your stay. (rental must be the length of your stay). Inquire for rental details.

Property was perfect for a relaxing golf weekend with some friends. The house had everything we could want to make us feel at home and the location was ideal not only to enjoy some spectacular golf courses in northern Michigan, but also just to enjoy the lake and nature. Would absolutely recommend for a family or just to get away and relax!

From the moment we booked, this VRBO experience was nothing short of outstanding. Every detail, from the upscale furnishings to the elegant decor, was curated to create a serene and indulgent atmosphere. It felt like stepping into a high-end retreat, and we were constantly impressed by the quality and comfort throughout.As an avid cook, I was absolutely thrilled with the spacious, beautifully designed kitchen. It was fully equipped with top-tier appliances and everything I needed to prepare meals with ease and joy. Cooking here was a true pleasure, and the open layout made it a perfect space to gather and entertain.This property exceeded every expectation. The sunsets were breathtaking and the fishing superb. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or a luxurious home base for your adventures, this VRBO is a gem. I can't recommend it highly enough and will absolutely be returning!

WOW, what an amazing stay at this beautiful lake house!! We had 6 adults and 2 teenagers and the house accommodated all of our needs perfectly. The lake is the perfect size for all water sports, but also safe for kids to play on the water while you watch from the deck, yard, or dock. The house has all of the amenities you need from a fully stocked kitchen with plates, pots & pans, silverware, cups, coffee maker, and spices to a grill and griddle on the deck. The owners did a great job communicating before, during, and after our stay and were extremely nice to ensure we had everything we needed for a great stay. We elected to rent their pontoon and wave runners and had an outstanding time on the lake throughout our stay. You can’t beat being on a Northern Michigan lake in the Summer and this house is by far one of our favorites we’ve ever stayed at.

Manistee Lake vaca

The lake house was perfect for our family getaway. The four bedrooms gave everyone their own space for quiet, and the living areas (inside and out) had a variety of spaces to gather. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and lots of prep space. The lake itself is beautiful, and being towards one end seemed to make for less boat traffic. Only downside was the kayak and paddleboard were both pretty unsteady, but we made do.

Family Getaway

We had a great time at the house and in the water. Philip was very accessible, and the house and property were just as described. The new pizza/bakery down the road is great, we went there every morning and had pizza one night. I had not been to Kalkaska before and picked this house because of size and amenities - did not disappoint. We took advantage of the wave runner rentals and had a blast. Would definitely recommend this place to others!

We absolutely loved our stay on Manistee Lake. Philip was wonderful at communicating the entire time, made excellent recommendations and provided the perfect home for our extended family.

A nice break at the lake

We had a very pleasant stay over a week in July. Plenty of space, very comfortable beds, and a perfectly stocked kitchen. It’s about 20 minutes to the grocery store so stock up or be ready for daily trips. Traverse City is an easy 45 minute drive and Bellaire is close by too. We made great use of the paddle board, kayak, and canoe, but decided the cost to rent to motorized crafts exceeded the benefit due to the small size of the lake.

Fantastic property!

We had a great time and Philip was a very accommodating host. The property was one of the cleanest we have seen and we appreciated all the amenities. The lake was nice too :)

Amazing Place to stay!

This property is absolutely amazing! The sunset views are just beautiful, the house was immaculate and it was stocked to the nines. We had also rented the pontoon for the week, which was worth the extra spend. It made for such a wonderful family vacation!! Many thanks to Phil and Stephanie!

10 Star Lake Home

These lake home owners can be designated Super Hosts right off. Home is beautiful, clean, comfortable as is the beautiful lakefront yard. The owners spared no expense in stocking the house with everything we may have needed, actually over and above with many extras. I am so thankful we stumbled across their lakefront property, I can’t imagine there are many properties of this caliber available to families looking for a short term get away. We hated to leave this beautiful location with its available pontoon boat and wave riders. Our teens were so happy to be zipping around the lake as we cruised in the pontoon boat. Thank you Phil & Steph for your thoughtful gestures in stocking the house, the quality of your linens and the overall delight to be found in your heavenly lakefront home! Highly recommended!!

This property is on Manistee Lake, a quiet lake known for its fishing and boating. Our property is surrounded by water with Manistee Lake in front and a small river on the side of the property. We are close to Traverse City, Bellaire, Shanty Creek/Schuss and even Boyne. Whether it's relaxation, being by the water, or skiing - this house is close to all of it.
