Waterfront Home with Sauna on Seneca Lake and Finger Lakes Wine Trail

This Seneca Lake escape features an expansive deck with magnificent sunset lake views, outdoor sauna, 100ft of lakeside lawn with a fire pit and kayaks. The property also boasts a two-story seasonal lakeside boathouse with bedroom and game area. Enjoy more than 20 vineyards and breweries within a 5 minute drive. Watkins Glen State Park, "The Glen" Race Track, and Finger Lakes National Forest are only 15 minutes away.

Come relax lakeside at Red Oak Retreat! Nestled among the oaks at the end of a quiet vineyard lined road, enjoy the expansive views and tranquility of Seneca Lake.

The cottage boasts an open floor plan with a spacious living room featuring an open cathedral ceiling and floor to ceiling windows. The kitchen is roomy with a small breakfast bar and dining area that comfortably seats 8 (high chair and booster seat also available). The attached deck stretches along the length of the cottage offering stunning views of the lake below. Dine alfresco at our bar height fire table that seats 6 or grill your favorite meal and enjoy a glass of local wine from the bar top overlooking the water.

This ranch style home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths located in the main house. Bedroom 1 has a king bed, TV, and attached full bath with shower, washer, and dryer. The bathroom can also be accessed from the kitchen. Bedroom 2 features a queen bed while Bedroom 3 has a queen and twin bed. The second bathroom is a full bath with tub/shower. A pack 'n play is available.

Take the stairs down to the water where you will find the boathouse with a cozy sleeping area. Fall asleep to the sound of waves in the queen bed with a clear view of the water or enjoy your morning cup of coffee at the bistro table on the deck. Located on the first floor of the boathouse is the rustic bar area with mini fridge, darts, and parlor games. There is no bathroom in the boathouse. (Please note there are 2 full flights of stairs to get to the water and no bathroom).

Soak up the sun in the Adirondack chairs on the permanent dock or lounge in the large grassy area. The dock has a motorized boat lift and there are 2 kayaks with paddles and lifejackets available to use during your stay.

Red Oak Retreat is located along the Seneca Lake wine trail, just minutes to Atwater Vineyards and 2 Goats Brewing. Located on the east side of Seneca Lake, this cottage is only 10 minutes to Watkins Glen and 30 minutes to Ithaca. Nearby attractions include Watkins Glen State Park, "The Glen" Race Track, Finger Lakes National Forest, Taughanock Falls, and Ithaca Falls.

There are 2 parking spaces available along the gravel driveway and 1 space on the pass through drive above (near split rail fence). Please only park in designated areas. No contact entry, guests will be given a unique 4 digit code to access home during their stay.
