Lakeside Getaway! 35 mins from downtown Minneapolis & close to Mall of America

Escape to the lake to relax and recharge!! Only 35 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and less than an hour from the Mall of America, this is the perfect place for a getaway. Located In a darling beach community, the house is directly across the street from the lake with amazing views and a private dock (in the summer). Enjoy the brilliant colors of the sunsets, bonfires and everything lake life has to offer. Beautiful fall colors and plenty of winter fun as well…ice fishing, snow shoeing etc. Bring your snowmobile if you wish. The fishing is amazing any time of year.

Our lake home is in the perfect location. It has an “up north” feel without the long drive. Our 1700sf lake home has a fun beach vibe. It’s cozy, but open and airy and loaded with amenities.

The home has 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms.The master bedroom is on the top floor and has a king size bed and 3/4 bathroom. The sectional sofa is on the main level and there are 2 bedrooms downstairs each with a queen bed. There is also a 3/4 bathroom on the lower level.

The home has a smart TV on the main level and two other smaller TV’s with DVD players and tons of movies. Wi-Fi is included and we have a small desk if you need to get some work done.

The lower level has a foosball table, full size Pac-Man game and dart board. There are also board games, puzzles, cribbage and cards. Even if it’s raining (or snowing) you won’t be bored!!

Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create amazing meals. Pots and pans, crock pot, air fryer, toaster coffee maker, microwave, blender, dishes, utensils and much more. There is not a dishwasher, so you will have to wash dishes the old fashioned way. We also have a gas grill outside on the back deck. If you forget something, the General Store is right up the street or grocery store within 10 minutes.

If you’re not in the mood to cook, there are some incredible restaurants nearby. Smokey’s BBQ is within a mile…a nice walk if you’re in the mood, Acapulco Mexican is 11 minutes away and Maxx Bar & Grill is also 11 minutes away among others.

We have 2 kayaks and a paddle boat for your use. We have life jackets (required) and misc. rafts/noodles. Bring your boat if you wish. The public launch is right across the street. We have plenty of space to park your trailer and cars in the yard. We do have a pontoon as an option to rent at an additional cost. We have basic fishing gear for your use as well.



Coon lake is located in Anoka County. It is 1,481 acres and is approximately 27 feet deep at its deepest point. When fishing, anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including bluegill, sunfish, bass, northern pike, walleye, crappie and perch.
