We loved our stay at 404 El Faro. The rooftop was amazing. My daughter and I watched the cruise ships come in every morning from up there. We took afternoon breaks to relax too. The location is amazing, walking distance to everything. As other reviews have stated, bring a noise machine and ear plugs the night club is LOUD (until 3am). It don’t affect my kids, they were exhausted at the end of each day but it did wake us adults. Although it was an inconvenience, I wouldn’t say it affected the trip.

Great apartment & property

The El Faro property is gorgeous, secure & very well kept. The apartment was just as nice. It is very modern & the roof top patio was the absolute best part. Thank you for a great stay.

Perfect Getaway

My wife and I decided to take a little adult trip and while we were there we were able to take the ferry over to Cozumel for some amazing snorkeling. This location is so close to anything you may want. The lounging at pool was also a highlight. So many different restaurants and good food within walking distance. We have already booked again so we most certainly are going back.

El Faro has been very well managed and maintained and is in a fantastic location on the beach and steps from great entertainment and restaurants. The pool is magnificent and our rooftop terrace (Coral 401) with plunge pool was also excellent.

Amazing Unit

The property was awesome with modern finishing. The rooftop was a highlight of the trip. Location of the property is in the heart of the restaurant/bar strip.

Winter Getaway

It was a nice, centrally located property, but a little smaller that what we are used to. The local manager, Benjamin, was very attentive to the few minor issues we had.

If you are are looking for a place in the middle of all the action this is the place you will want to be! Within a few hundred feet are restaurants, shops, beaches and excursions. Lots of bars and nightclubs all around. So if you want the night life this is a great place to stay!

Best location in Playa

Room was great. Staff is phenomenal!! The only thing the complex should address are the people that 'reserve' a lounge chair with their beach towel and then only use it for an hour throughout the day.

Great Location

We had a great time here with the location being so central to the action of downtown Playa. We liked being able to take advantage of the plunge pool at any time to cool off. The bed was pretty comfortable (we were in the master). The bath mat and a couple of the hand towels could use replacing as they are looking a little worn. Overall it was a comfortable place to stay with everything you need to rest and relax after checking out all the sites in Playa and in Cozumel.

Great location, as listed.

El Faro is an excellent location. We’ve stayed a number of times. The upper deck and splash pool was a great bonus. Check in was a breeze. Love Kira and her team. Water cooler did mess up in last night but not a huge deal. Enjoyed having 3 jugs.

El Faro is a superbly located building with wonderful amenities for a stay in Playa Del Carmen.

Wonderful location, good amenities, super secure feeling, beautiful views. We stayed in March ‘23 for Spring Break with 3 kids ( 7, 12, 15 ) and really enjoyed the pool. Proximity to restaurants, stores, bars, and even to organize tours would be hard to beat. Property management super easy to communicate with and super responsive to questions and to assist in organizing pick ups and tours. I would stay here again without hesitation due to all of the above. Thank you for a great week!

Awesome Stay!

Location Location Location! Not to mention a nice 2 bedroom 2 bath condo …not to mention a private pool just for you and your party on the rooftop! I mean what’s not to like? I’ve stayed all over playa and El Faro is the place to be …casino 2 blocks up the street …ferry to Cozumel 4 blocks away … 5th street a block away …Owner was very attentive to our needs if we needed it. I would put 10 stars if I could! Again great stay!

Pros: Very nice complex one block off 5th. Clean. Good ac. Comfortable beds. Roomy bathrooms. Massages at pool were great! Cons: Couch is an uncomfortable futon. No welcome information. Smeg oven needs written instructions!

Nice location - easy and accessible

Came to Playa del Carmen with a group of friends. We all stayed within the El Faro complex. The condo unit I rented worked very well. Its close to town (and dive shops). Plenty of restaurant options next door. The convenience to nearby bars and clubs made getting home very easy. I would stay again. Note: If you're a light sleeper, then I would recommend bringing ear plugs. Playa del Carmen's nightlife is loud until about 3am.
