The name says it all: the picturesque Frisian village of Burdaard is inextricably linked to tourism. In the spring and summer the village is all about water sports. All the beautiful boats and ships sailing through the village provide a romantic spectacle.

During the freezing winter you can skate on many canals and locks and with a bit of luck you can also experience the well-known phenomenon "the Elfstedentocht".

The Frisian landscape with beautiful nature, ancient farms, windmills, green meadows and beautiful villages and towns can be discovered in many ways. The whole environment is interspersed with cycling and hiking trails but also rich in waterways. It is certainly worthwhile to take a cruise and admire the beauty from the water. You can rent a boat directly in Burdaard (based on availability).

There are no facilities at the park itself, but many facilities are within reach. There is a supermarket (700 m), a bakery, a cash machine, cafes and restaurants and nice terraces where you can drink a delicious cup of coffee or lunch at the Dokkumer Ee. There is also a multifunctional center (500 m) with tennis courts, fitness, swimming pool (just for laps), playground, cinema and a theater. For culture, shopping, sports and other activities you can go to Dokkum (10 km) or in Leeuwarden (20 km).

In Holwerd, less than 15 km away, you can board a ferry and breathe in an hour the atmosphere and culture of the Wadden Islands Ameland and Schiermonnikoog.

Waterdorp Burdaard offers very comfortable accommodation in luxury villas for 4, 6 or 10 people.

The detached villas in nautical colors and attention to detail are equipped with all comforts. The interior is very tasteful and meets the needs of demanding guests.

On the ground floor there is an open kitchen with a spacious, cozy living-dining room. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine and Nespresso, combi-microwave, 4-burner stove and sufficient kitchen utensils. The living room has a spacious dining area, a comfortable sofa and a TV. A bedroom with a double bed and a separate toilet.

On the first floor are two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed and one bedroom has two single beds. Each bedroom has a protective insect screen.
There is also a bathroom with a shower, toilet and a sink.

Charming French doors in the living room open onto the furnished, covered terrace and the garden, where you can enjoy the magnificent view. From the kitchen, you enter a spacious storage room where you can park your bicycles.

You can safely park your car at the house.

The water sports enthusiasts will also feel at home here. Enjoy the fresh air on the beach, on the rented boat or with a ferry to visit the attraction of the Netherlands the "Waddeneilanden". From Holwerd you are on the shore of Ameland in less than an hour. In the summer months you can even make a day trip to the neighboring islands!

You can visit an AquaZoo Friesland in Leeuwarden, Terp Hegebeintum with magnificent views, the play and animal park Sanjesfertier in the Westereend, the National Park Alde Feanen, the Seal Center in Pieterburen or many museums.
Cities such as Dokkum and Leeuwarden are certainly worth a visit.

• Please note that youth groups and parties are not allowed.
• For group accommodations (homes for 10 people), the minimum age of the main booker is 25. The rest of the group must be at least 21 years old.
• The park reserves the right to charge an (additional) deposit of up to € 250.00 per person. Any damage to the property or caused by nuisance may be deducted from the deposit. Refusal to pay this deposit voids your rights to stay without refund on your already paid monies.
• For other reservations, the minimum age is 21 years. Families and families with children are allowed. An additional deposit may be charged based on group composition
• Business reservations are allowed for a maximum period of 14 consecutive nights, with a mandatory weekly cleaning in between, which will be charged after making the booking. A maximum of one person per bedroom is required.
• Long-term rentals are possible, please contact the reservation department directly to discuss conditions and possibilities.
