Welcome to Key Lime Cottage, a fully renovated 1926 gem located just blocks from Cape Charles beach, Central Park, and downtown. Your stay includes a complimentary golf cart for breezy exploration! We've lovingly restored this classic four-square home to combine historic charm with modern comfort. Sun-drenched rooms await, featuring a convenient powder room on the main floor and two full bathrooms upstairs—one with a soaking tub.

Gather around a large dining table that seats 12 for family feasts, with an additional kids' table. Relax on sofas in a living room adorned with an eclectic book collection. Step outside to find ample seating on a spacious front porch equipped with ceiling fans for those warm days. The back deck offers a grill and dining setup, along with an outdoor shower for post-beach rinses.

Sleep soundly in one of four inviting bedrooms. Choose from three rooms with queen beds outfitted with premium mattresses, or opt for a 'kids’ room' featuring a bunk bed and twin trundle, sleeping up to five little ones or two adults. And for outdoor adventure? Two kayaks and three bikes are yours to enjoy.

Overall it was a great location and a good house to have our family vacation in. Unfortunately there were a lot of fruit flies (we were warned but I still didn’t expect that many) and the backyard/deck needs some attention. We hosed down the golf cart to be able to drive it but the exterior would benefit from a power wash. Loved all the towels and the fact there were 5 beach chairs. Overall well stocked but we did have to buy paper towels and hand soap which I didn’t expect. The fence was secure for our dog and the keyless entry was nice. Distance from the beach was great!

Key Lime Cottage was fantastic! Close to the beach, the park, and shops. The house was cozy enough for all of us to eat dinner and watch TV together, and big enough for everyone to have their own rooms. The neighborhood is beautiful, and the neighbors were lovely! Cape Charles is beautiful and we will definitely visit again.

Great back yard and nice spacious house. Golf cart didn’t charge quite right which made me nervous it would break down but it ended up lasting through our stay.

Perfect getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Key Lime cottage. The house was really nice with good indoor and outdoor spaces. The kitchen was stocked well for the small amount of cooking we did. Location is fantastic. As a bonus we watched a small family of House Finches who had nested in the front door wreath.

Excellent House

The property was amazing! Super close to the beach, an easy walk to shops and food. The house was wonderful and well stocked for several families to get together and relax. Would definitely stay here again

Weekend Getaway

We visited Cape Charles for a long weekend, and we could not have been happier with our stay at Key Lime Cottage. The home is in a great location - could not be more convenient for walking to the beach and the shops/restaurants. It was beautifully decorated and VERY clean. We wouldn’t change a thing. The owners have done a wonderful job in making their home an inviting and stress-free place to stay for a visit to Cape Charles. We plan on returning in the fall, and we can’t wait!

Cold April weekend

We had a restful cozy long weekend and enjoyed every local restaurant in town. By Sunday afternoon the weather warmed up enough to enjoy the green golf cart and we had everything we needed for a happy stay!

Good trip

This was our second time staying here. We enjoy the proximity to the beach, the fenced backyard, and the golf cart. We were bummed the golf cart broke down during our stay and were unable to use it our final day. Host was quick with communication. House is stocked with paper products, soap, and cooking supplies. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfection!

The house was well equipped and welcoming. We loved the neighborhood as it was very pretty and less than two blocks from the beach. The owner provided a go cart, bikes, kayaks, and much more. Our family loved it. When we got home our two year old cried saying “I want to go back to the green house.”

Week at Cape Charles

This was our fourth time to Cape Charles, but our first time at Key Lime. The house was great. The location was so close to the beach and having the golf cart to get to town was the best. We brought our 3 children with us and the house had so much to entertain them!

Wonderful Time at the Key Lime Cottage!

From the moment we booked the Key Lime Cottage to the moment we left to head home our experience was outstanding! The home is beautiful and full of character and in an absolutely optimal location (1 1/2 block from beach, 1/2 block from park, and 3-4 blocks from Mason Ave). All the perks (kayaks, bikes, beach chairs, and other beach accessories), especially the golf cart really made our stay comfortable. The house was very clean and supplied with more than enough linens and pillows. We especially loved the large dining table that comfortable fit our whole family and how it was open to the living room. The air conditioning was amazing and made the home such a relief from the heat. We were also pleasantly surprised by how many outlets there were especially considering the home was about 100 years old! The front porch was huge with plenty of seating, such a nice way to end each evening. Adam was great with communication through booking and our stay and even let us know that we could check in early. Cape Charles is a truly a gem for many reasons and the Key Lime Cottage is amongst those!

Great House, Great Location

From the time we booked Key Lime Cottage until the time we checked out, everything went extremely smooth. The home is welcoming and a quick walk or golf cart ride to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The house is well furnished inside and includes many necessary beach items. Everyone enjoyed the stay at Cape Charles!

Happy New Year!

Great communication with Adam and he was very accommodating to our needs. It helped us to make a birthday celebration special! Well-appointed home for our holiday weekend getaway and the golf cart is an excellent plus! Our Goldens enjoyed the backyard. Close to the beach and downtown shopping and restaurants. Cape Charles never disapoints!

CBES 30th Annual Bike Ride

We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home this past weekend while participating in the CBES bike ride. The home is charming and the property is extremely clean. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. The golf cart is a great way to explore Cape Charles and we can't wait to return and use the kayaks. Many great amenities. I would highly recommend this property.

The Perfect Short Getaway

This was the perfect getaway during a very busy time at home. Key Lime Cottage is perfectly appointed with everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked, as are the bathrooms. The small sunporch is a perfect place to gate you pets, and the entire backyard is fenced. Key Lime Cottage is less than a two block from the beach, which is beautiful with munificent views. We will definitely be returning, hopefully for a longer stay. Our host, Adam was very accommodating and attentive.

Fabulous week

We had a fabulous family week at Key Lime Cottage and even a tropical storm going through didn’t bother our stay. The house had everything we needed and we could even charge our EV. This was our favorite house we have stayed at in Cape Charles and the hosts were great!

Quiet beach getaway

This was our third trip to Cape Charles and hands down the best property we have booked there. We chose this over other rentals because of: fenced yard, golf cart, proximity to the beach. Cape Charles is a very walkable town, but if you are lugging beach equipment, kids and/or pets, having a golf cart makes life so much easier. This house is also well stocked: bath/shower supplies, towels (oh the towels!), soap, detergent, pots/pans, etc. Just bring clothes and food - they have everything else. The front porch was great for relaxing in between beach time. Outdoor shower (with warm water) was perfect for washing off our sandy feet. Really no negatives to speak of, except that we couldn't stay longer! Would 100% stay here again!

We offer 1 golf cart, 3 bikes, 2 kayaks, many beach chairs, and umbrellas. Everything you need for a wonderful stay in Cape Charles!!!
