What a comfortable and cozy place to stay while visiting family in Falmouth. Laura provided many amenities and snacks. I brought my dog, Mojito who made himself at home straight a way. I will definitely return. Thank you, Laura!

This was a perfect spot for my small pup and I to stay during our vacation in Cape Cod. The apartment had everything we needed and more, beautiful yard, great location to restaurants and beaches and close to the ferries.

Great Get Away at Cape Cod

My wife and I had a lovely stay at the Shire. Laura was incredibly accommodating and made our stay feel unique and homey. Highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Cape Cod.

It was very quaint and cute. Comfortable bed nice shower everything at your fingertips. The hostess was very available to help when needed.

Getaway

Laura’s place was exceptionally clean and well kept making for a very comfortable and relaxing experience. Her binder of recommendations for local attractions and dining were spot on. Overall an enjoyable stay, I look forward to booking again in the future.

Memorable experience

We were thoroughly impressed with the accommodations and host support! The place was spotless, warm, inviting and nicely located. Our host bent over backwards to ensure a great stay, and we couldn't be happier. We highly recommend this with great confidence.

Family visit

Quiet, clean, had everything we needed in this very cute studio. Space for the crib and large bath. Plenty of storage , a/c was much needed and appreciated. Cute outdoor space as well. Hosts very nice and thought of everything.

Cozy Weekend Get Away

Laura was an incredible host - her attention to detail and kindness is unmatched. She was great with communication and always quick to respond. The space itself is beautiful, lots of natural light and very Cape like finishes. The private back deck was our favorite place to relax during our weekend stay.

Weekend Getaway

The Cupboard Atop the Stairs is a delightful space! Perfect for a weekend away. Laura was extremely helpful, making room in her garage for our bikes as it was pouring when we arrived on the Cape. Despite the rain, Falmouth offered plenty to keep us busy and our accomodations were cozy. A well stocked kitchenette allowed for coffee in bed in the morning:)

Comfortable & perfect location

Loved our stay at this location. The apartment was adorable and so very comfortable. Our host, Laura, thought of every convenience. The apartment was thoughtfully stocked with snacks, waters, coffee, tea, cream and sugar. The apartment design, maximized space while maintaining charm. We enjoyed a peaceful deck, set in a lovely garden. Proximity to the center of town, beaches and ferries, made for a lovely, relaxing weekend. Thank you Laura!

Family Reunion

Great accomodations offering everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood, neat and clean rooms, thoughtful amenities. We originally booked for two weeks prior in order to attend a family reunion. However a threatening hurricane forced the party's cancellation. Laura was terrific in working with us to reschedule our reservation.

Excellent stay

My husband Leo booked a 3 night stay at the Cupboard for me.It was a great stay. My name is Christine and I recently lost my dog. I needed a place to go to get away that was peaceful and serene. This was the perfect place. It was immaculate, cozy, private and safe and the most comfortable bed. It has everything you need there and I was able to relax and grieve when I had to. Laura was outstanding and very friendly. I spent a little time with her outside near the gardens. It was great and I would definitely go back. I 100% recommend this property!!

Magical Stay at the Shire

The Cupboard Atop the Stairs is a very special place. The room was nicely appointed with a comfortable bed, luxurious bedding, large fluffy towels, and many amenities that you would find in a deluxe hotel. The mini fridge and Keurig coffee maker were great to have and stylish too! The private deck was wonderful - a peaceful place to enjoy a cup of coffee and some Girl Scout cookies while looking out at the lovely garden. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend it highly. Laura was such an amazing host! So friendly and so accommodating. She stocked the house up with everything we need and more (snacks, and fresh diet cokes in the fridge!!) she even got a brand new grill and it worked so well. We had our 52 pound dog with us and the yard was PERFECT for him. He ran around and had so much space! He slept in the room with us no problem, but we had him out a lot on walks and stuff too. The bed was so comfortable and the AC worked so well. We would 10000% stay here again!!

Really cute place in a great location!

I stayed here with my cousin for a girl's trip to Falmouth/Martha's Vineyard. It's a nice little place to stay and in a great location. It's on a quiet street in a cute neighborhood, but it's close enough to easily drive (or Uber/Lyft) to Falmouth center, the ferry, etc. The shower is big and the bed is comfy. The host is really friendly/helpful and greeted me when I first arrived (she also always responded to my messages quickly). She provided us with lots of snacks, a fridge with water bottles, a microwave, etc. We had a great time, and definitely recommend this spot! If you can, take advantage of the porch out back. We forgot to do that, and it looked really peaceful! (Just a note to bring an eye mask if the light wakes you up. I forgot mine and the light shines pretty brightly into the skylight on the ceiling)

I was very happy to have found Laura’s Studio Apartment at The Shire available, as I had only just arrived on The Cape the night before without any reservations. The studio was very clean and welcoming! Exactly as described; the perfect size for a solo traveler or even for a couple. One can tell that she takes care of things and her attention to details shows!! I appreciated the binder of Cape Cod information she keeps in the room. That is always helpful for out-of-towners, like myself!The bed was very comfortable (pillows, sheets and all) which was exactly what I needed to be able to catch up on some much-needed sleep!The kitchenette was well-stocked with dishes and such, a microwave and a Keurig coffee maker (complete with a good selection of coffee). Laura even had some cartons of water, diet cokes, and sparkling water in the mini-fridge and a little basket of snacks to boot!!The bathroom was simply huge! The towels were luxurious!! Laura stocked the shower with large bottles of Native-brand hair care products and a large bottle of Method body wash. No need to bring your own!I took my coffee and breakfast out to the private deck the first morning I was there; I stayed in my pajamas, read a little and relaxed in the sunshine for several hours. That felt wonderful! Laura was very responsive (through VRBO) to any questions I had during my stay and I was able to meet her upon checkout. When I return to The Cape, I won’t hesitate to stay at Laura’s place again!

This place was perfect for a couple. Even though the space is at the same property of the house, it was very private and felt like it was just the two of us, even when enjoying the back deck. The loft was extremely clean, Laura provided us some nice snacks and waters in the mini fridge for when we got there, and had everything we needed for our stay. This isn’t just a host wanting to make money. Laura cares about her space that she offers as she provides a private and clean place to stay. A great place to getaway!

It is very clean, and It offers a lot for a studio. There are lots of places to store your things, and the bed is very comfortable. It’s also a short walk to the ocean. I would definitely stay here again.

Quiet stay

Quiet residential neighborhood a few miles from the beach. Private back deck was great place to have coffee and hang out later in day.
