Initially built in 1905 in the Historic Fort Screven District, this two-bedroom, 1,800-square-foot vacation home is ideal for a couples getaway or a relaxing family vacation. It has been carefully restored and completely updated with modern conveniences to make your getaway comfortable while maintaining the original, charming features that harken to the early 1900s. With a great location on the north end of Tybee Island, guests will love being within walking distance to North Beach, a local favorite, as well as signature landmarks, attractions, and restaurants! Guests will feel as though they've stepped back in time as the original hardwood floors and trim are still intact, along with the 12-foot ceilings adorned with Victorian tin. The historic touches extend throughout the first-floor living area, dining area, kitchen, and sunroom. The dining room features a large table with seating for 8 people just in case a few extra dinner guests stop by. The sunroom, which has bench seating and a daybed, is the perfect spot for enjoying the natural light from large windows that contribute to the home's openness. Here, you can even get a glimpse of the Tybee Island Lighthouse! The renovated, fully-equipped kitchen has all of the amenities a chef needs with its updated stainless appliances, including a double-door refrigerator, dishwasher, and double oven. The unique half bathroom is right off the kitchen, which features a small clawfoot tub. There is a hidden washer and dryer in the kitchen as well. The living room is comfortably furnished with ample seating, a large flatscreen TV, a beautiful all brick, original fireplace (decorative only) and has direct access to the large wrap-around porch. The porch, which was previously the entrance to the home until 1950, is one of the house's highlights. The porch is screened and covered for your comfort with plenty of seating, including a couch and chair swing, to enjoy a cool Tybee breeze. Just up the original wooden staircase are the two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 features a king-sized bed and a wall-mounted, flatscreen TV, and a generous walk-in closet. Bedroom 2 is furnished with a Queen size bed and trundle as well as a twin bunk bed. Both bedrooms share the upstairs hall bathroom which features an original large clawfoot tub that doubles as a shower. Both bedrooms enjoy a view of the Tybee Island Lighthouse. Head outdoors into the large backyard, which features a patio with a gas grill, a portable fire pit, and seating for cookouts all summer long. Additionally, there is a private outdoor shower with hot and cold water for easy cleanup after a day at the beach. Parking is available on the property for two vehicles. Explore everything Tybee's north end offers, like climbing to the top of the Tybee Island Lighthouse, visiting with local wildlife at the Marine Science Center, playing disc golf in Jaycee Park, or grabbing a bite at North Beach Grill!
