Wonderful seaside getaway
Some of the photos actually don't do this property justice because they don't quite convey the airy open layout. This loft has high ceilings and many windows, allowing for plenty of light and good air flow. It's comfortable even with no AC, with breezes coming off the water. The location right on Bristol's waterfront makes it easy for you to stroll to any of the restaurants and bars there, and it's also a stone's throw away from the end of the East Bay Bike Path. You'll even hear live music from the Portside Tavern if you're here on a weekend.
The perfect spot
Almost didn’t want to post this because our stay was so great (trying to keep it a secret....). Cara and Nick were very helpful and communication was seamless. The Sailors Loft was immaculately clean and is in an amazing location. We went for walks on the bike trail, made our way to Colt State Park and visited some of the many restaurants within walking distance of the Loft. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.
We loved this studio apartment. The location is perfect. We are so glad we found it and will be staying here again on our visits to RWU.
We are so glad you enjoyed it and look forward to seeing you again soon.
We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! The studio was light and airy, clean, and had everything we needed. I did see reviews about the lack of space to put toiletries in the bathroom, and it would be nice to have a little shelf or something in there, but that did not hinder us in any way. We only watched TV for about 10 minutes one night, and the rest of the time, we went through our pictures, talked about our day, and planned the next days adventure. Originally, our plan was to cook, but we never did. There were just too many things to do, and we wound up grabbing snacks throughout the day, and going out for dinner. At night we would come back, get our PJ's on, and enjoy a glass of wine while planning our adventure for the next day. The mattresses were a bit hard for us, but by the time we fell into bed, we slept like rocks!! If you love history, the whole neighborhood has homes that were built in the 1800’s! I think I have pictures of every single one them! And the line painted in the middle of the road, is red, white and blue! Loved that! One morning we had breakfast at the Sunset café, a very cute place right down the street with very good food. We went to Newport and did the mansion tours-a must see!! We also did the Cliff Walk one day-the whole thing! If you are planning on doing the whole walk, be sure to have good hiking boots. (I also had my walking sticks). The last part of the trail (5/8 of a mile) is basically walking over rocks. But the views are breathtaking! We also ventured to Mystic CT (yes, Mystic Pizza!) and fell in love with the town. More homes from 1700-1800’s-fabulous! We both agreed we need to come back for a week in the spring to be able to explore more. If you want to be in a quiet neighborhood, without a multitude of tourists, this is the place!!
Thank you Cara for a wonderful stay!! We are already planning our trip back!
