We had an excellent stay at this property, it was very clean, the beds slept great, checking in was easy and painless, and the property was located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The property owner was wonderful, very polite and courteous. She actually kept in touch with us during our stay making sure we were happy and satisfied with the property and all it offered. It's safe to say l have found the place l will stay whenever I visit New Jersey and New York. Thank you for being a great hostess until we meet again!

Weekend in NYC

We had an excellent stay at this home in Newark. It is 15 minutes from Newark Penn. So, it was convenient. We had everything we needed and slept great!

A great week

We had a very pleasant stay at this property. Everything was clean and comfortable. The apartment was just as advertised and had everything we needed. The check in process was easy and they kept in touch with us throughout our stay and answered any questions we had. Thanks so much for having us!

Lovely flat with easy access to the city

Do yourself a favor and try at least one of the African Restaurants in the guidebook this property provides! You will not be disappointed! The property manager was very responsive and friendly.

Great experience.

The property is very nice. It is clean and has all the amenities. The host was wonderful. She was very welcoming and accommodating to our needs. I wish we had a host like her every time we traveled. Thank you for your hospitality!

My stay

I had a fantastic stay at Solace’s place! The place was incredibly nice and exceeded my expectations. The interior was tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The cleanliness was impeccable, and all the amenities provided made me feel right at home. Additionally, the location was convenient, with easy access to local attractions. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during my trip. Highly recommended!

Best Experience Ever

The property is beautiful, cozy, clean and well kept. Tobi is fantastic about communication and being responsive to any concerns. She always answers emails within in an hour or less. She sent the necessary check-in information in a timely manner. When we arrived, she sent a message later that evening to just check on us. On the second day, we discovered a problem with not being able to turn on the TV. Tobi had someone come out the same day and made arrangements to have the problem fixed within 24 hours. When we met, she was very warm and friendly and wanted to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. It exceeded our expectations. I would absolutely stay here again. Love you Tobi!!!

Nice stay

We came for a family celebration so this apartment was in a good location for visiting family and to travel to downtown New York. We did rent a car so that helped us get around, especially because we have an 18 month old who needed a car seat. Leading up to the stay, communication was a little slow but once there Tobi was great at texting me back quickly. The apartment is spacious and well taken care of with lots of windows. The beds are comfortable and there is ample space for clothes. The apartment is on the second floor so it's not great for people who have trouble with stairs. It wasn’t an issue for our party though. There is a fire station across the intersection from the apartment so there were a lot of sirens throughout the night. If you are wanting to use the coffee machine you have to buy/bring your own pods and if you want to use the washing machine you have to buy/bring your own detergent.

It was also nice of you to have reiterated the points in our listing for future guests since our listing shows we provide washing machine and not laundry soap ( because each guest seem to have their own preference of laundry soap, we leave it to them to use their preferred fragrance and pod or liquid as the case may be) and we also listed that we provide coffee maker ( leaving the guest to use their choice of coffee or decaffeinated drinks as the case maybe, again because everyone have their preferred choice as explained to you during your stay which you also noted that it makes sense😊) I am glad you enjoyed our vacation rental which is also stated per the listing to be on the second floor of the building. We appreciate your review and highlights to our listing features to help our future guest have a clearer expectation. We absolutely look forward to hosting you again.

Beautiful Home...

Everything went very well..... check in and check out was really easy and clear to understand. Home is as listed: ALOT of amenities and all of the appliances work amazingly. Washer and dryer was a life saver!!! Over all decent stay... but the walls of the home need some tlc (new paint or a good scrubbing, or both). Definitely getting worn... beds were ok. A little hard but your body adapts eventually... BUT PLEASE BE ADVISED: ***THIS HOME HAS A TOTAL OF 4 FLIGHTS OF STEPS TO GET TO THE APARTMENT. INCLUDING THE STAIRS OUTSIDE, THERE'S A TOTAL OF 28 STEPS*** i was a little upset to find this out since it is not plainly said. This home, although it's beautiful, is not for people like me with bad knees or disabilities. Was very difficult to get my heavy 50lb luggage up and down the stairs. Overall, good stay.

It is already clear in the listing that the apartment is on the second floor of the building and that there is stairs. As for the outside stairs, the picture does reflects it as well. Great Place to explore the East Coast

Solace is a great place to stay for visiting the East Coast! We used it as our home base when visiting New York City, Washington DC, Boston; and the many small, picturesque towns within the tri-state area in the month we were there. The reason we chose Solace was because it looked very clean with ample space as compared to other apartments we looked at in the area. It has two full bathrooms and its own Laundry room - a rarity for the rentals at that price range. And the three bedrooms comfortably accommodated our party of 6. The location was ideal. It is 10 minutes from Newark International Airport by car or bus. If traveling into New York City, the bus ride is 15 minutes from the apartment to the Newark Penn Station at a cost of $1.60 per ride. The bus stop can literally bee seen from the apartment window. And once at the Newark Penn Station, it is only a 25 minute metro ride (PATH ride) from the Newark Penn station to the World Trade Center in Manhattan. We did this route for 5 days as we explored New York City. I recommend using the mass transit system when in New York City. Driving into the city is not recommended due to the traffic congestion, full parking lots and confusing street parking. At the end of the day, we came back to the comfortable beds that awaited us.The Kitchen is equipped with everything you may need to cook up breakfast, lunch, or dinner - depending on how much time you wish to spend in the apartment. We usually ate breakfast before leaving the apartment and heading into New York City. For our day and weekend trips outside New York City, we rented a car. The apartment has ample street parking. And the host also offers driveway parking- Something you will not find in New York City, Jersey City, or other cities near New York City. And since the apartment is located in Newark, you don't have to fight the traffic congestion of New York City if you wish to take a car trip to visit all the historic/beach sites in Philadelphia, Washington DC, the Jersey Shore, or even Boston Lastly, I could not have asked for a better host. On our arrival, the host greeted us with a fruit basket; helped us with our luggage; And walked us through the apartment to make sure we understood how everything worked. They gave us pro tips on where to catch the bus. Which bus went directly to NYC. And which bus went to the Newark Penn Station. And constantly checking on us to make sure we were having a wonderful time. Thank you for being a great host!

Nice place and wonderful host

The place itself was very clean and nice. Tobi was amazingly sweet. She even drove my sister and I to Dunkin Donuts one morning to get breakfast. Would recommend this place for anyone visiting Newark.
