Situated only minutes away from the Colorado River and the town of Matagorda, Beach Daze boasts an excellent location with convenient access to a multitude of activities including beachcombing, shelling, bird watching, fishing, boating, jet-skiing, swimming, surfing, and stargazing. Additionally, kayaking is a popular pastime in the wetlands located directly behind the house.

Great House. Great Location. Great View even though it is what some would call a second row house. Host was very gracious. We had an personal issue we did not anticipate, nothing to do with the house. Bobbie (the Host) was kind and understanding. We will absolutely be booking this property again. Further, the folks in Matagorda are wonderful people. I have fished, gone to the beach or stayed at every beachside town in Texas From Galveston to Boca Chica at the mouth of the Rio Grande. I will be going back to Matagorda and will be staying at Bobbie's Beach Daze Every time. If I could give 10 stars, I would without hesitation.

Beach Vacation

This was a great house for my granddaughter and me to enjoy a quiet couple of days at the beach. We were able to take the path directly to the beach and come back to relax.

Great Fishing Trip

Beach Daze was perfect for our family. We were able to use the outside water faucet to wash off sand and the washer and dryer to wash fishy clothes. We brought in our own food and were able to make meals with all the pans, stove and oven. Shower was excellent after a long day of fishing and the porch was perfect for morning coffee. The neighborhood was quiet. The house isn’t far from the pier if you want to take a walk. Thank you for being such a great host!

Great place, highly recommend

We enjoyed our stay to celebrate my grandson's birthday. A great location, affordable price and the place was endowed with everything you would need for a holiday stay. Bobbie was very attentive and called me back to answer a concern I had that was quickly resolved

three nights stay

Everything was great except the window unit in living room was very noisy. The hosts were wonderful though. Very quick to answer any questions. The house was so close to the walk path to the beach. We enjoyed our long walks on the beach. the house was clean and stocked well. Thank you

Relaxing Beach House Getaway

In general, the stay was good. The property is in an excellent location. The furniture is old and may be due for replacement. I would say the cleanliness was average.

Perfect family beach vacation!

Cutest little beach cottage! Perfect for our family of four. Cold outside shower for washing sandy shoes, and nice deck for hearing the waves and seagulls! The walk to the beach wasn’t very far, with a beautiful beach, lots of shells and tons of fluffy sand for kiddos to play in! Thankfully, this beach wasn’t as crowded as some others, there really weren’t that many people on the beach for spring break (maybe due to a bit colder weather), so it was nice to have almost the whole beach to ourselves often! The walk down the beach wasn’t that far to the Matagorda Bay Nature Park (long bridge pictured), which has a granite jetti that the kids (ages 10 &11) thoroughly enjoyed exploring! (Be careful here, the rocks can be slippery, especially keep an eye on any little children with the “wave side” that might could knock them off). We mainly stayed on the “beach side”, and had fun looking between the large rocks to see whatever little sea creatures were hanging out- including sea urchins, hermit crabs, small shrimp etc. The kitchen had everything we needed for good meals, played games at the table, watched movies at the end of the day in the sun. Had everything we needed to make lovely family memories!

Very nice property and management was very helpful….. but….

It took us over an hour of driving around in total darkness to find the property. The move in documents reports the address as 91 Beachfront Drive. That was not helpful. The address is actually 491 Beach Front Drive. My navigation system could not find the provided address and the night was pitch black. Other than that I have no complaints.

Matagorda Fishing Trip

Had an issue with lower bedroom A/C unit and it was fixed the next day. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equiped. Property was clean. The house is starting to show its age and at some time will need a little repair but it did not affect our stay. It worked well for our purposes. The owners were very friendly and very responsive.

I just wanna say first of all it was in a good location for what we wanted to do. The place is small and cute, pretty well stocked, easy check in and check out. We were however very discouraged when we realized that the third bedroom with two twin beds. Is not accessible from inside. You actually have to go outside go down the stairs and then go through the laundry room. It is a horrible smelly, moldy, musky damp space, we couldn’t stay down there. Which also means if you have to go to the restroom, you’ve got to get up in the middle of night go up the stairs, Not functional at all. It was awful. Luckily there were only five of us and one of us was a child so we just put the child on the couch upstairs and it worked out for us OK. Had a lot of good reviews and I can see why there were good reviews but also I saw people making some of the same comments I made and Still giving them a very high rating which is very deceiving. There was mold that was painted over in the upstairs we could see it we could smell it, without air conditioning running it would’ve been awful, and yes, I do understand it’s by the beach. It gets damp and moldy, but with that being said, I know there are places that are more careful about taking care of their mold problems. If anybody had any allergies to mold, they would not be able to stay there overall though, if you’re just two people, three people, even four people the upstairs is a doable unit. A/C units are very loud, but functional.
