There is also a convenient ground level store-room for your beach gear and a private, hot & cold out-side shower. The 11 mile post section of Nags Head is a great location of smaller family cottages and nice wide beaches perfect for a family vacation. Families will find the quiet low-traffic non-commercial atmosphere relaxing yet appreciate how easy it is to drive or even walk to the grocery store, restaurants, the Outer Banks family YMCA, or a putt-putt course. The large multi-use path that parallels the Beach Road is great for running, biking, or the walker in the family. Jockeys Ridge State Park and the sand dunes are just a mile south. Papa's Place is a great combination of accessibility and privacy with lots of diversions and commercial outlets not too far away!
