Welcome to Waveney Cottage by KEES Vacations

Situated on the waterfront of the Albemarle Sound, this is not your average beach home. Surrounded by acres of lush forest on a private road with beautiful landscaping, this home is ideal for a visit to the quiet side of the Outer Banks. The property's pier and dock offer great opportunities for fishing excursions. Enjoy nightly sunsets over the shimmering Sound waters from your spacious deck and backyard area. The golfers in your group will love the close access to the prestigious Kilmarlic Golf Club, positioned against the picturesque banks of the Sound only 4.6 miles from the home.

This single level two-bedroom 3-bath home has over 180 feet of SW facing waterfront. The house is comfortably furnished with a king-size bed in the spacious En Suite bedroom and a full bed in the second bedroom. The En Suite bedroom even has sliders to the extensive deck overlooking the waterfront, so you can fall asleep listening to the soothing sound of the waves.

Located only a few minutes drive from the beaches on the Outer Banks, the house is privately located on an acre of wooded and landscaped property, and there is an extensive 4-foot fenced area for your well-behaved dogs (which are welcome with extra security).

All of this is in addition to a boat dock with an electric lift to keep your vessel out of the water, a long dock with a swimming platform and outside shower, as well as internet access and Mediacom TV, with a printer available in the office. Everything you need to make your vacation to Point Harbor memorable, away from the normal crowds on the Outer Banks!

This property has 2 parking spots for guests.

**Waveney Cottage is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a small one-time fee of $155, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.**

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

Perfect Getaway

The property was in an ideal location. The view from the deck was beautiful and the house set up was perfect. This is where I would stay for another vacation to the Outer banks.

Great place to get away

This property was perfect for our vacation. We were able to fish and kayak at the house and be 15 minutes from a public beach access. We visited Corolla and Manteo for day trips with the house perfectly located in between the two. The location was very quiet and away from the crowds so was very relaxing. We didn't want to leave but we will use this property again.

Great getaway

Beautiful cozy home that lets you stay with your dog! The fenced in yard is great! Be sure and fish off the dock use 1/3 of a shrimp....my wife caught a 17in red fish! House is clean with more towels than you could ever use....all in all a great stay at a great price! The neighbor even offered to let me use his hose to wash down my boat! We will definitely be back for another stay!

House wasn’t ready when we arrived…maid service was still cleaning

We enjoyed it but would opt next time for a beach front house because this area seemed not so welcoming for vacationers, very residential. I think if we had a boat, we would have appreciated the location more. Also the house is very dated at the cost it required.

Point Harbour

Excellent location, lovely spacious master bedroom with sea view but very small and disappointing second bedroom without proper door which spoiled the stay for two of the four adults. Also, poor lighting in kitchen made cooking in the evening difficult.

What a great place - not on the ocean

Paradise in a house

I loved this home, the owner did such a good job of detailed thinking of everything, from kitchen to the bathrooms...It was excellent to be able to swim just in front of the home, the morning coffee on the deck, 180 degrees horizon sea, and the sunsets....Ahhh the sunsets...It even has a Kyoto Zen garden in the back, everything I wanted...Thank you...Price not too cheap but so worth for the value..

Great location, but not nice inside

This property has million dollar views of the sound. The outside is beautiful, however the inside of the house is in disrepair and not clean. It is very dated, furniture is very old, terrible musty smell in the bedroom to the point where all my clothes now smell like that. There is a terrible ant problem. Screened in porch is useless due to torn screens. Fan blades falling off. We had a great time outside on the deck and dock which are the best parts of this house. Inside is not great.

Waveny Cottage

This was a very nice cottage we really enjoyed it. The only complaint we really had was that some of the main doors are hard to open and close, a lack of Tupperware and the screened in porch needs some repair. We really enjoyed the theater system, and that you can't hear anything from the living area while you're in the master bedroom, with the doors closed. Great for when the kid went to bed and we could listen to music and watch movies without disturbing him. We could go on and on but this place was great. Seriously considering coming back next year. Thank you so much.

Beautiful scenery

Beautiful dock and ocean inlet views from beds. Gorgeous sunsets. No traffic on bridge mid week July. 9 min to beach. Clean/updated kitchen-plenty of dishware. Clean linens and bathrooms. Bring extra towels and thick garbage bags. Quiet neighborhood with neighbors nearby. Older house (screen door and drapes could use an update) Some lamp lights did not work, tv did not work for us. Items found behind couches/beds. Late night check in was rough. Garbage left behind from previous renter all over porch- brought some critters however was taken care of immediately following morning. Lights are off if checking in after dark. House is to right of driveway. Black gate opens with flip up lock in middle. Quaint area for a getaway.

Slice of heaven

This house has by far been our favorite. The location was perfect for our family getaway. It was easy to feel the comforts of home while away and truly breath taking. We want to come back as a yearly tradition. We loved everything about it!
