This charming apartment is the entire 3rd floor of an historic row house in the dynamic neighborhood of Columbia Heights.

The apartment is separate and private with a door at the bottom of the stairs, but the entry is through the main house where I live. You may come and go as you please. I'm a writer & work at home.

I have two cats (and often foster kittens or dogs) in the main house. The animals never go into the apartment. Your well-trained dog or cat is welcome with a pet-cleaning fee of $50.00 per stay.

You must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19.

LOCATION

Only Half-block from Columbia Heights Metro station, (Yellow/Green line) it is only 5 stops (7-10 minutes) to - Smithsonian museums, US Capitol, Convention Center, Zoo.

Shuttle bus to Washington Hospital Center, Children's Hospital.

NEARBY - within two blocks

Dozens of restaurants and cafes, neighborhood pubs, coffee shops, Lidel grocery Store, Giant Grocery store, Farmer's Market.

Shopping center with Target & Marshals.

Other neighborhoods with similar vibrant nightlife & restaurants - Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, Mount Pleasant & U st - are an easy 15-20 minute walk, or one subway stop away.

AMENITIES

- The apartment has one bedroom with queen sized bed, a full bathroom and a separate living room with a comfy queen-sized sofa bed. There is a TV with cable & DVD in each room.

High speed Wireless INTERNET.

In the living room there is a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, 2 electric burners, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, etc. - everything you need to prepare light meals.

Because of the open stairs the apt. is not safe for crawling babies and toddlers.

PARKING

I provide a permit for free street parking.
Off street parking is available - $15.00 per night.

Cozy top floor in a beautiful nabe.

Victoria enriched our trip to DC by recommending places and providing info. We got the insider tips. Her place is clean and well appointed. She had everything we needed and thought of everything. It was a great place to stay in DC. Train is on the corner, as is a full shopping center and chain and ethnic restaurants.

It was a bit pricy, but hey, it's Washington, DC. The locaton to get on the Metro was perfect, plus shopping and restaurants very close by. Victoria was pleasant and accommodating for all our needs. She just doesn't normally work with Expedica, so that delayed some of our confirmation communication.

Convient dc apartment

Couple minute walk to subway and bus. 2 beds and bedrooms. Safe and easy access to DC. Victoria is very accommodating allowing us to use bus passes, and zoo pass. Only downside is apatrment floors dirty and walking up lots of stairs. Love kittens also.

Perfect location - made our stay truly great

A friend and I met in DC for a vacation, and Victoria's place was just right for us. We each had our own space, and could still spend time together without feeling like we were falling all over each other. The apartment is very clean and well-appointed. Victoria was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable about the area; she gave us great advice on transportation and sightseeing. The location is also fabulous - we started every morning at the Starbucks around the corner, and had dinner nearby a couple of times. It was very convenient having CVS, Chipotle, Target, Best Buy and many other stores and restaurants nearby. Even though you go through the house to get to the apartment, we were able to come and go as we wanted and never felt like we were inconveniencing Victoria. We had complete privacy. I highly recommend this as a clean, safe and friendly place to stay.

Wonderful time

This place is the best! Totally recommended. comfortable beds, cozy. We felt like home. We loved every aspect of the place. We´re from Brazil and we are already planning to return in Feb 2018! Victoria is very thoughtful and adorable. Such a lovely person. Kisses to ginger!!!

Our son got a job in DC and we needed a place to stay to help him transition into a Columbia Heights apartment. Victoria's place was PERFECT.... or should I say PURRRRFECT? She has some lovely pets that will also greet you, but the third floor is all yours (pet-free!). We hope to stay again very soon - when we visit our son. THANK YOU VICTORIA.

Perfect!

Our family found this rental to be perfect! From the airport, it was easy and inexpensive to take the Metro to the home. Everything you need is conveniently located. It’s a very short walk to the Metro, Target, CVS, grocery store, fast food and sit down restaurants! The rental was also very clean and comfortable. Victoria was extremely accommodating. We flew out late, and she held our bags for the day. She gave us great advice on getting around...as well as local places to go. We made so many great memories and will be back for sure in Victoria’s perfect home. 💕

Perfect location in DC

This was my first time using VRBO and I was so pleased with the experience. Victoria was such an accommodating host and her accomidations are so perfect. The apartment is spotless and extremely comfortable. The location is ideal, easy to get to and from the airport from the metro (just a half block from the metro stop) as well as all the Mall and Museums. The neighborhood is so full of great food options and Victoria has lots of info for the first time visitor

Great first VRBO experience.

Victoria was a very gracious host; making sure we had everything we needed, knew where we were going, and were comfortable. She even made sure to tell me about the street parking so I wouldn’t get a ticket during street cleaning. Her property is just down the street from the Metro and is close to food and shops; which was perfect when we were tired from a day of sight-seeing. We’re looking forward to staying with her again when we come back to DC for Part 2!

Excellent Family

Victoria was a fantastic hostess; accommodating and kind, going out of her way to make sure our stay was comfortable. The home is ideally situated and we had everything we needed or could want just at the end of the street. It was a perfect place to stay for our Fourth of July vacation.

Location

This property was conveniently located for all of our needs. The metro was extremely close as was eating and shopping locations. Victoria was extremely helpful in providing any information we needed for our stay. She provided us with metro cards and many restaurant selections. If given the opportunity we will definitely rent from her again. Victoria was a pleasure to meet and opened her home up to our family.

Easy access to metro, food and shopping are right there, apartment was very clean. We are a family of 5 which was a little much for that space but it worked. The bed was too soft for me but I like it firm. We were able to use her washer which was very nice! As for the area, it was safer feeling in the daytime but nighttime had a different vibe. Google the area and know your surroundings! There was a man yelling every night by the metro with a small crowd of people. One day there was a car with the windows busted out, slashed tires, one whole tire missing.... The cops were there while the tow truck was taking it away. Crazy!! Victoria was very nice and knowledgeable!

Cozy and close to everything

We (family of 4) had a great stay at this cozy apt. It is so close to the metro and circulator bus, which puts you so close to everything. The apt was clean and well appointed. Victoria has lots of helpful info about places to eat etc...and is available if you need any help. We’d definitely stay again.

Comfort & Convenience

Finding a place that was close to the Metro was of prime importance to us, and you don't get much closer than 1/2 block! After long days of sightseeing, we looked forward to relaxing our home away from home. Victoria was extremely welcoming, and we loved being greeted by her dog Ginger, two sweet cats, and several foster kitties. This was so much better than spending a week in a boring hotel room. We had everything we could possibly need to make us feel at home. The bed was more comfortable than our Tempur-pedic mattress at home. We slept great! Columbia Heights is an interesting area in its own right, with numerous stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. There was a basketful of menus in the apartment and Victoria gave us several good recommendations for places to eat. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone!

Great location and fantastic host!

We stayed with Victoria for 4 nights. The space was clean and had everything we needed. There were 5 of us and it wasn’t as cramped as I thought it would be. Victoria was kind enough to rent me her parking spot behind the rental when we arrived. Originally we were going to use the street parking pass. She supplied us with Metro cards to put money on for our daily travels. The Metro is maybe 100 yards from the rental. The price and convenience of this rental cannot be matched. I am a very skeptical and picky person. I will not take my family to any place I felt unsafe. Never once did we feel unsafe or uncomfortable in her neighborhood. If you are looking for a great place to stay in DC this is the place. If we plan another trip to DC this is where we will be staying! Thanks Victoria!
