Hello Katherine, I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. It is likely you went to city center at the absolute worst possible time because it has never taken me more than 25 mins by bus and only 10 mins by car. For context the Capital Area Arena is 2.3 miles away so you could technically walk in under and hour so I have no idea why it took you 45mins to an hour…I am sorry you had that experience. Also, I assume as a woman you feel unsafe walking at night in general but the neighborhood is very safe and we have never had a guest report a negative encounter in over 2 years. There are many families with children in the neighborhood and everyone is very respectful and welcoming of visitors.

Hello Lovelyne, I am sorry to hear your experience was less than enjoyable. We attempt to communicate the property accurately through the pictures and description so our apologies if you did not realize this was one floor of a 3 level home. Also, just to correct you, this is the 1st level of the home, which is ground level and has windows and floor to ceiling doors as pictured. Basement are below ground and typically do not get light, this home does not have a basement. Also, we do have quiet hours between 10pm - 7am so if there was noise during those time we were not aware but would have definitely reached out to the above guests had we been notified. Overall, we are glad you were able to stay and hope you enjoyed your time on DC.

We understand reception was an issue on your end, which is why the text may have gone unseen — but the information was provided and confirmed sent. Entry is simply a short walk to the garage entrance and a keypad code — no previous guests have described it as difficult, and it's outlined clearly in the pre-arrival instructions. As for the neighborhood, it's a quiet, family-friendly area — the home sits just three houses from the street, and the alley is lit. We're not aware of any safety concerns in the area.
