Great family getaway!

Perfect location for our family of 5! House had everything we needed & was clean upon arrival. Beach access across the street couldn’t be more convenient. Highly recommend!

Vacation in Paradise

The house and location were perfect. We would stay there again. We did have a couple of issues during our stay. People were dumping trash in our trash can. Also we used the storage room under the cottage to store our beach gear for easy access. On Thursday at noon of our stay I decided to pack a few of our things from the storage room in the car. I closed the storage room door like we had been doing all week, and for some reason it became locked. I called Vacasa immediately and a very nice young lady provided assistance. She first had me open the lock box upstairs to get the hidden keys, but there was only one key for the cottage. Then informed me about another lock box down at the storage room. The lock box had been removed and there were four screw holes where it had been. She tried to call the local Vacasa location, but no one answered. She put in a work order, but no one ever called. I felt someone from the local area had plenty of time to at least call before we checked out Friday at 10:00 am. I am sure the owner has to give property management a complete set of keys for these kind of situations. Not happy I had to leave two beach chairs and two boogie boards in the locked storage under the cottage. Everything about the stay was great but those two problems I mentioned.

Vacation in Paradise

The house and location were great. Short walk to the beach and the pool was very clean. We did have a problem with people dumping trash in our trash can. Also the storage room under the house, after we had used the space for our beach gear all week, door locked. We did not lock the door. I called Vacasa property and the lady gave me code for the key box, but the hidden key only fit the house and not the storage door under the house. She thought there was a lock box near the storage room, but it had been removed. She tried to call the local Vacasa person but got no answer, and she put in a work order. This was done at noon the day before we were checking out so I felt that they had time to at least contact us. I am sure the property owner made sure the property management would have keys to unlock all doors. I had to leave two beach chairs and two boogie boards in the locked storage room. Not happy about that, but everything else was good.

Tickled pink

The home was clean and well stocked for our stay. It is located in a great location just steps away from the beach and local places to eat. We will definitely be booking this home again.

The house location is perfect! 2 min walk to the beach. Sleeps up to 8 comfortably. The lay out is great aswell. Needs some cleaning love! Alot! And new pot, pans and cutlery in the kitchen. Had a few issues but the staff corrected them quickly. Would be a 5 star with some updates to the furniture downstairs and in the master bedroom. Maybe a new dresser with a mirror for the ladies. And a secional downstairs. But a deep good clean and some inside paint and wall patching would go a long way! Thanks!

Rugs smelled horrific

Rugs are filthy and reek of animal urine to the point I bought rug deodorizers and cleaners to no avail. Bathrooms were clean and towels plentiful. All mattresses need to be replaced urgently. Why not have a sign stating the garbage disposal doesn’t work instead of finding out after the fact?

Everything You Need and More

The location is excellent with a short and easy walk to the ocean. Most of the other homes in this complex seem to be owner-occupied so it was very quiet and peaceful. This isn't the fanciest home on the beach but it is a great bargain and we found it to be better than advertised. Lots of dedicated parking and it was great to have storage space for your beach things in the carport. Beds were comfortable and common/living areas are very spacious. Air conditioner works perfectly as does everything else in the home. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Overall cleanliness was ok, bed linens looked as if they were not changed… there was hairs in the beg… looked like both human and pet hair, we killed two roaches and rodent droppings in the bottom dresser drawer… pillows were stained, I bought my own bed linens and pillow covers

Needs a Mid-Season Deep Cleaning

I want to start by saying that the Property Management company was responsive to the problems but as I phoned in problems more problems would present. The cleaning staff had done a very poor job with surface cleaning of floors and countertops. There were food splatters as well as just greasiness. Upholstery and carpets were stained and soiled. The kitchen table had food beneath the glass. Some linens were stained giving the appearance of uncleanliness. They should be retired. One small annoying issue was the key code was entirely too long. You’d come up from beach or pool and have to pull out your phone to find the code to enter 10 digits. Positives were nice flooring in main room with upgraded appliances, nice smart tvs in each room. Ample supply of soaps and shampoos.

Great Location

The house was very basic with a small kitchen and small bedrooms but if you spend your days on the beach like we did then it will get the job done :). The beach is very crowded but it made for great people watching.

Good Stay

This house is conveniently located with a short walk to the public beach access! Pool is nice & not usually crowded. House itself could use a little TLC and a good deep clean before hand, but overall good stay!

Disappointed at lack of cleanliness.

Obvious it was not cleaned well between guests and some parts rare, if ever cleaned. Carpet staining and dog urine odor tops the list. Vacations for us are limited so paying a considerable amount and based on photos we had high hopes of nice accommodations. :-(

Comfortable with great location

One of the few dog friendly rentals in the area which was fantastic. The rental was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. As far as check in it was good except we had significant issue with initial access which was later found to be low battery in the keypad lock. Even after the battery replaced the key pad only worked intermittently so we pretty much had to rely on one key for the whole visit. Communication with the manager was prompt but frustrating trying to get the access issue solved. Also prior to arriving we asked the type of coffee maker so we could bring the appropriate coffee and were told it was only the drip type when in fact the had both that and a keurig. Also told no ice maker in the fridge when in fact it did so we bought ice for no reason. BTW the ice maker worked great. It appears that the property managers only work on questions from the amenities list provided by the host. That said, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it and return if we come back to Murrells Inlet.

Great beach home!

The stilt home provided a cozy stay for our family of 5 plus a baby. The home was clean and well appointed when we arrived. Bedrooms are on the smaller size but worked out fine. The mattresses could have been better though. They were a tad too springy and slid around. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. Access to beach was convenient just across the street. What I appreciated the most during our stay was the quick response from the rental agency when our front door keypad stopped working. I called the Vacasa helpdesk who tried to help over the phone. When that did not work the helpdesk put me in contact with a local agent who immediately got in touch and fixed the issue. Getting this immediate and efficient help during a holiday weekend was a great saver. We also appreciated the rental agency not having a long laundry list of things to do upon departure that a lot of other rental properties usually have. If the rental properties are charging those high cleaning charges they should not expect the guests to do half the cleanup before they leave. Being able to leave quickly after pack up was a bonus. Would definitely recommend this house to others and would book again in the future.

Needs some work

The house is in a great location, the pool was wonderful. The house was not clean. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, clothes left in the dryer, sheets missing off the bed. The stove was nasty. One of the doors to a bedroom was falling off the hinges and there were bugs. It's a great space, they just need to fix some issues.

Perfect location

The coral stilt was the perfect getaway for our little family reunion. Right across the street from the beach, pet friendly with a pool right downstairs. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The house was clean and communication with the property manager was great. We would definitely stay again

Great beach trip

Easy check-in, nice place, easy access to the beach, and access to the communal pool is nice. We didn’t end up using it, but it’s right outside the house and very convenient. We had a great trip and definitely would recommend this house. Thanks for letting us stay there!
